-Konoha nightime, during second kage meeting.
-Naruto POV.
"You know grandpa? Sometimes I start to believe peace is impossible."
I look at grandpa's grave. He died protecting everyone, not just for the sake of Konoha, but for the sake of everyone. I sigh. "Hashirama tried to create peace by forming the ninja villages. He gave the tailed beasts to everyone in the hopes that the fear of them being used for war would make everyone afraid of war. That didn't work."
I shift my gaze to the Hokage monument. "Getting everyone to agree to peace through fear won't work. Whenever anyone sees someone weaker than them they will immediately beat them up without hesitation."
I drink some water from my water bottle. "I want everyone to agree to peace not from fear or through force. But out of their own desire. I want everyone to understand each other, for everyone to avoid war because they understand the other person. Out of empathy."
I stand up. "Danzo killed Sasuke's family out of fear. He feared what they would do to the village. Fear won't make people want to avoid violence, it will make them rely on it."
I give grandpa's grave one last look. "My dream is for everyone to be kind to each other. I want war to not be the solution anymore."
I give the Hokage monument another look. "Do you think it's possible grandpa? Do you think I can convince everyone to make peace with each other? Or am I just an idiot?"
While turning to leave I smile. "Even if it's stupid and even if I'm just an idiot. I'll still keep trying. Even if no one agrees with me, I'll still keep trying to convince them. Even if I fail time and time again I won't give up. My dream is for everyone to understand each other and avoid harming each other. I will never give up grandpa, believe it!".
