Thinking of Hiccup's near-death state after his injury, Stoick quickened his pace even more.
Although everyone he passed praised Hiccup, to Stoick, none of it sounded like good news.
After all, as Hiccup's father, no matter how much he disliked him, he was still his son. He had already lost his mother due to his own negligence, and if he were to lose Hiccup now, how could he possibly go on living?
After pushing through the crowd, Stoick burst into a run, something that would normally be absolutely impossible.
"Hiccup! Hiccup!"
Stoick ran to Hiccup's small wooden hut, and his over two-meter tall, exceptionally strong body squeezed inside.
However, Hiccup was nowhere to be seen in the hut.
Struggling to get out of the hut, he just happened to encounter the Terrible Terror guarding it.
The Terrible Terror immediately panicked upon seeing Stoick, as he had been defeated by this very person and imprisoned in the dark Dragon Jail.
So, the Terrible Terror's vertical pupils flickered, and it quickly turned and ran, having no intention of fighting.
"Roar~~"
The Terrible Terror cried out for help with a heartbreaking roar, intentionally calling out to Hiccup.
At this moment, Hiccup was performing his daily morning detox, and just as he was wondering what to use to wipe, he suddenly heard the Terrible Terror's cry for help.
So, he could only use wool, but the current sheep's wool was too dirty and sparse! Hiccup finally gave up.
As Hiccup gave up, he muttered to himself, "The Terrible Terror isn't stupid; it's impossible for it to attack villagers, and even less likely for it to be attacked. Who knows why it's making such a racket."
After regaining his composure, Hiccup finally found a parchment scroll in the storeroom; it was just his design drawing, but thankfully, it could still be used.
"No! I must make something like toilet paper when I have time! I can't just make do with my morning detox every day!"
After finishing up, Hiccup leisurely returned through the back door of the wooden hut, then passed through the front door, just in time to see Stoick pinning the Terrible Terror to the ground and pummeling it.
"Stop! Stop!"
Hiccup was stunned. His cheap dad was a genuine Dragon slayer, and even without an axe or a longsword, he could still kill a Dragon.
And the Viking Warriors who had returned with Stoick, upon hearing the Dragon's roar, rushed over and immediately surrounded the Terrible Terror.
Gobber and the other villagers, however, stopped these Viking Warriors, otherwise, the Viking Warriors, full of resentment from their recent defeat, would have been enough to beat the Terrible Terror to death with their wild punches.
The Terrible Terror was extremely aggrieved; if it weren't for obeying orders and not harming villagers, how could it have ended up in this situation?
Upon hearing Hiccup's voice, Stoick immediately stopped what he was doing.
The Terrible Terror even let out a weak Dragon roar at Hiccup and said, "Master, you've finally arrived!"
Stoick immediately breathed a sigh of relief, then instantly became furious, standing up directly and looking at Hiccup, saying, "Where are you hurt!?"
Seeing Stoick so angry, Hiccup thought he was going to scold him, but he never expected him to ask such a question.
In the end, kinship triumphed over anger.
Hiccup looked at Stoick with a bewildered expression and said, "I'm fine!"
At this moment, seeing Stoick stop, all the Viking Warriors quieted down.
Gobber then had the chance to walk unevenly over to Stoick and boast, "I trained the new recruits according to your request, and I discovered a surprise!"
"Under my, Gobber the Warrior's, guidance, Hiccup's Dragon taming talent has been developed. Now, Hiccup has become a powerful Dragon Knight!"
Upon hearing this, the Viking Warriors couldn't help but let out gasps of surprise.
Exclamations of "Oh my god" rose and fell.
"Oh my goodness, this can't be true, Hiccup has actually become a Dragon Knight!"
"How could these Dragons possibly submit? Have these Dragons become vegetarians!?
"Impossible, Hiccup, who would faint at the sight of a Dragon, how could he become a Dragon Knight!? This is simply the funniest joke I've ever heard!"
"Do you believe Hiccup has become a Dragon Knight!? I certainly don't!"
The Viking Warriors chattered away, expressing their opinions, completely unwilling to believe it.
At this moment, Astrid stepped out and shouted loudly, "No! We all saw it with our own eyes! Hiccup really did tame a Dragon!"
Stoick looked at Astrid with some surprise. He knew Astrid was the strongest warrior of the younger generation, and he never expected her to stand up for Hiccup.
It seemed that many major events had truly occurred during his absence from Bok Island.
Gobber then nudged Stoick with his shoulder and said, "Hey! Old man, you don't know, during your absence, Berk Island was almost ready to elect Hiccup as the new chief!"
"This might even be your future daughter-in-law!"
As he spoke, Gobber even showed a very relieved smile, as if everything behind this was pushed by him.
However, Stoick waved his hand to silence everyone, then looked at Hiccup and asked, "Is what they're saying true!?"
Hiccup smiled faintly and said, "Of course it's true! You've already seen it!"
Stoick looked at the Terrible Terror, who was very afraid of him, and immediately felt a little disappointed, because this Dragon was really too timid, and simply unworthy of being a mount.
Although the Terrible Terror was powerful, in Stoick's eyes, this Dragon was just a slightly stronger sheep, not to be feared at all, if it weren't for these Dragons being able to fly.
Perhaps they would have already been killed by Stoick leading the Viking Warriors.
So, Stoick directly said, "No! I don't agree!"
"For hundreds of years, our ancestors on Berk Island have been fighting Dragons for generations. How can such deep-seated hatred be forgotten!?
"Last time, how many villagers' homes were burned down by Dragons, and how many villagers died in the flames!"
"Hiccup, I hope that when you see a Dragon, your eyes will only hold slaughter, without the slightest bit of mercy; only then can you become a true Viking!"
Hiccup, however, said with unusual determination, "What if I insist on becoming a Dragon Knight!?"
Stoick roared directly, "Don't forget, your mother was also killed by a Dragon!? So, our hatred with Dragons can never be resolved, do you understand!?"
