Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 Teaching Dragon Taming

Listening to Hiccup's appeal, the villagers present looked at each other.

After all, this was about taming Dragons for battle, not just grabbing weapons, getting hot-headed, shouting a few slogans, and charging off.

Therefore, these villagers were still quite worried that they would instinctively kill the Dragon directly, with no intention of taming it at all.

When Stoick saw this situation, he immediately hesitated, and at the same time, he couldn't help but think, "The warriors have lost confidence! They have no desire to fight anymore!"

"If we had Dragons as mounts, the warriors would surely regain their confidence and follow me to the Dragon Nest."

However, at this moment, these Viking Warriors shook their heads and said, "I'd rather use arrows to shoot Dragons!"

"I can still capture Dragons with a stone net, so I don't need to tame them; let someone else do it!"

"Even if we had Dragons, we wouldn't find the Dragon Nest; let's just go back and wait to face the Dragons!"

Astrid stepped out directly and shouted loudly, "I'm willing to believe Hiccup! I want to join the Dragon Knight Squad!"

With Astrid taking the lead, the Twin sister Ruffnut naturally didn't want to fall behind, so she quickly pulled her Twins (Brother) and shouted, "We want to join the Dragon Knight Squad too!"

Although the Twins (Brother) was reluctant, for his sister's sake, he could only brace himself and say, "That's right! We want to join the Dragon Knight Squad to protect Berk Island!"

Fishlegs, the chubby boy, stuffed a large piece of roasted meat into his mouth and stammered, "I want to join the Dragon Knight Squad too!"

However, even with the support of his friends, in the eyes of these Viking Warriors, this was simply child's play.

It proved that only these young warriors were willing to join the Dragon Knight Squad.

Hiccup had already anticipated this situation; after all, they had just returned from a defeat, so how could they have the confidence to do this and that?

However, although Stoick didn't want to support Hiccup, he was his son after all, and when everyone else was unwilling to believe him, as a father, he had to support him unconditionally.

But, for the sake of his dignity as a chief, Stoick would not openly support him; instead, he looked at all the villagers and said, "Although I don't agree with resolving the animosity between Vikings and Dragons!"

"But if Hiccup can turn these young warriors into Dragon Knights, I think I might change my mind!"

This deep fatherly love immediately caught Hiccup off guard; he turned his head to look at his complicated-faced cheap father and thought to himself, "Don't worry! I will not disappoint you again!"

There was no other way; after taking over Hiccup's body, he inherited the bloodline emotions as well.

Just then, the system suddenly sounded a prompt.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for swaying Stoick's will, completing the main quest, and receiving rewards: Extreme Speed Warship Blueprint, Death Song Ballista Blueprint, and Demon Cage Blueprint!"

Upon hearing this prompt, Hiccup's mouth curved slightly upward, and he then asked, "How much of the dragon's secret scroll has been analyzed?"

"Ding! Answering the host, twenty percent has been unlocked, and the method for making the basic Dragon Potion has been stored!"

Immediately, a vast and complex knowledge flooded his mind, but while this knowledge was incredibly complex for others, for Hiccup, it was not only simple.

He could also extrapolate from it, and even simplify these potions so that Viking Warriors could drink them too!

Then, Hiccup said to his friends behind him, "You will be the future hope of Berk Island! Therefore, you must not disappoint anyone!"

"Let's go! Today, I will teach you how to tame Dragons!"

With that, Hiccup was the first to step onto the back of the Terrible Terror, with Astrid following closely behind; after all, she had already ridden the faster Night Fury with Hiccup before.

That's why she was so familiar with it. The Twin sister Ruffnut followed Astrid purely out of a desire not to be outdone.

The Twins (Brother) followed under the guise of protecting his sister, but he just didn't want to be mocked by his foolish sister.

Finally, Fishlegs, the chubby boy, swallowed hard, and then, under the gaze of the Terrible Terror and the surrounding villagers, slowly walked onto the Terrible Terror's back.

As he got on, he couldn't stop trembling. The Twins (Brother) quickly seized the opportunity and said, "Fishlegs, if you keep shaking, get down now!"

"The Dragon Knight Squad doesn't need cowards, especially a coward who eats the most and runs the slowest!"

As a result, the Twin sister Ruffnut directly exposed her Twins (Brother)'s lie, saying, "You're clearly scared yourself, but you have to blame it on someone else!"

"My foolish Twins (Brother) can't even find a good excuse; it's truly a headache!"

"Hmph! It's clearly Fishlegs who's shaking, and he's pulling me while he shakes!"

Seeing that the Twins were about to start arguing, Hiccup lightly coughed and said, "Everyone, sit tight! Don't fall off!"

There were five young teenagers sitting on the back of the Terrible Terror, weighing at least six hundred pounds, with the chubby Fishlegs alone accounting for nearly two hundred pounds.

But for the Terrible Terror, it just felt a little heavy!

Stoick clenched his fists, watching the Terrible Terror slowly ascend into the sky with Hiccup and the others, just like the other anxious villagers.

"Roar~~!"

The higher the Terrible Terror ascended, the more effort it felt, which is why it let out a Dragon roar, both to cheer itself on and to remind those on its back that it was about to depart.

Hiccup shouted from the sky, "We'll be waiting for you at the Dragon Jail! By the time you arrive, we'll have already tamed the Dragons!"

"Whoosh~~"

The Terrible Terror fiercely flapped its wings, quickly leaving the area and heading straight for the Dragon Jail.

Stoick below was still bewildered; after all, he had watched Hiccup grow up and had never discovered that Hiccup had the ability to tame Dragons.

The surrounding Viking Warriors who had just returned looked enviously as Hiccup and the others ascended and disappeared from sight.

Only then did they recall what Hiccup had just said, and at the same time, they couldn't help but mutter to themselves, "Are all Dragons like sheep!? Can they be tamed just by going there!?"

Clearly, they didn't believe Hiccup's words; after all, in their impression, Hiccup was still the troublemaker, and they hadn't yet accepted the fact that Hiccup had become a Dragon Knight.

Gobber walked over to Stoick and said with a chuckle, "When I first saw Hiccup tame the Terrible Terror, I also found it unbelievable!"

"But the truth is right before our eyes! This is simply the favor of Odin!"

With that, Gobber walked unevenly towards the Dragon Jail...
