Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 has no chance to show

The Terrible Terror continuously spewed flames, but Hiccup easily dodged them all. From a distance, it looked as if the Terrible Terror was toying with Hiccup.

Seeing this, Stoick quickly put down the rope he was using to tie up a Dragon and shouted, "Watch them!"

He then ran quickly towards Hiccup, anxiously thinking, "I've already lost your mother, I absolutely cannot lose Hiccup!"

At this moment, Hiccup had completely absorbed the potion's energy, and his entire body had undergone a drastic transformation.

It was as if he had been reborn and needed a powerful opponent to help him adapt to this immense power.

The Terrible Terror suddenly saw that Hiccup was no longer running, and it felt its Dragon dignity had been challenged.

"Ow~~~"

The Terrible Terror roared at the sky, then began to gather its strength, preparing to directly turn Hiccup into ashes with a single flame.

Looking at the Terrible Terror's raised head and its gradually rising temperature, Hiccup spat and said, "Can't play fair!"

Afterward, Hiccup quickly hid behind the torch.

"Roar~~"

The huge flame perfectly hit the torch and slowly consumed it.

The Terrible Terror, with a mocking expression and vertical pupils, peered at Hiccup from the other side of the torch.

Just as Hiccup was about to act, a huge dark shadow flashed before his eyes, and then he heard the Terrible Terror's wail.

Because Stoick, after seeing the Terrible Terror spew flames, directly leaped into the air and landed a solid kick on the Terrible Terror's long snout.

After landing, he simply stretched his muscles, and then unleashed a combination of punches on the Terrible Terror, forcing it to retreat repeatedly.

Its eyes were filled with fear. It never imagined that after escaping from this barbarian's hands, it would encounter him again.

The Terrible Terror tried to spew a flame to show its strength, but only a few sparks came out.

"Ow~~"

After a wail, the Terrible Terror turned and left Berk Island, not forgetting to cast a fearful glance at Stoick, as if to engrave his image firmly in its memory.

The battle was now nearing its end, and all the Dragons began to retreat because they had already snatched enough sheep to report back.

"Bang!"

Just then, the torch attacked by the Terrible Terror finally collapsed, burned through at its base by the flames. After the fireball at the top landed, it successively broke several sections of the bridge before falling into the sea.

Hiccup, however, believed that these were all inevitable plot points in the story and didn't need to be taken to heart.

After all, this ancient village always had new houses precisely because Dragon destruction was so frequent.

However, Stoick and the villagers on Bok Island watched as the group of Dragons, bound with sheep in stone nets, flew laboriously into the sky and finally disappeared into the mist of the night.

Hiccup said modestly, "Father, you might not believe it, but I shot down a Night Fury!"

"Enough! Shut up! Don't say another word!" Stoick was so angry he was incoherent. He grabbed Hiccup by the back of his collar, like a small chicken, and dragged him directly in front of the villagers.

He angrily threw Hiccup aside, pointed at him, and roared, "Why! Tell me why! Why is it that every time you appear, there's endless trouble on Bok Island?! Can't you see I have more important things to do?!"

"Do you know! It's because of you that these Dragons had a chance to escape! It's because of you that our sheep were stolen by the Dragons! It's because of you! The villagers have no food to get through winter!"

"Winter is coming, tell me, how am I supposed to lead the villagers through winter?!"

As the chief of Bok Island, Stoick naturally bore heavy responsibilities, and leading the villagers through winter was of utmost importance. Now his son had made such a big mistake.

As the chief, he had to scold Hiccup in front of all the villagers to stabilize their emotions, otherwise, these crazy Vikings might directly sacrifice Hiccup to Odin!

After all, animation is just animation, and many things are not presented in the show, especially some of the Vikings' sacrificial customs.

Hiccup also knew how much trouble he had caused and understood that even though his father was the chief, he absolutely could not cover for him.

If he were to cover for him at this moment, there would inevitably be discontent among the villagers, leading to disunity at best, or even civil war at worst.

Seeing that the situation was about right, Stoick sighed deeply and asked earnestly, "Hiccup! Why can't you just obey orders?!"

Upon hearing this, Hiccup looked around, seeing the curious yet despairing eyes of the villagers. He knew that proposing a plan to train Dragons now would surely get him locked up by these crazy Vikings.

It seems that to prove himself, he absolutely cannot be hasty!

If it were the previous Hiccup, he would have found a clumsy excuse, further disappointing the villagers.

So, Hiccup stepped forward, looking directly at the villagers before him and said, "Because I am a Viking! I am a part of Bok Island! Protecting Bok Island is everyone's responsibility!"

"When Dragons attack our village, we absolutely cannot sit idly by and let ourselves be slaughtered, because we are Vikings!"

"Even if I am skin and bones, even if I cannot defeat a Dragon, even if I will eventually be swallowed whole by a Dragon! But I will never back down!"

"I am proud to be a Viking, I am proud to be a part of Bok Island! I believe, I am a Viking, so I have no fear!"

"I believe that one day, I, Hiccup, will become a true Viking warrior, a Viking hero who protects Bok Island!"

After this impassioned speech, a different light appeared in the eyes of every Viking. It was as if they were all proud of Hiccup's unyielding will!

Many villagers even had eyes filled with admiration for Hiccup. Such a weak person daring to face a Dragon, this was the true Viking hero in their hearts!

Even Stoick felt a little guilty, wondering if his words just now had been too harsh!

Seeing that the mood was right, Hiccup suddenly raised his arms and shouted, "Vikings never retreat!"

"Vikings never retreat!"

"Vikings never retreat!"

At first, only a few villagers echoed, but in the end, all the villagers present joined in, raising their arms and shouting. Especially Stoick, who shouted the loudest.

Firstly, it was to support his son, after all, on Bok Island, Stoick was the only one willing to believe Hiccup, though he didn't say it aloud!

Secondly, it was to inspire the villagers! After all, such rallying cries were not just an oath to them, but also a matter of honor!
