Chapter 94 - Wanda and Gwen Team Up, A Wild Night with Cassius!

The warehouse was in a quiet suburb. Gwen was cautiously watching their surroundings.

"Don't bother looking, nobody's here." With a thought, Cassius sensed no one was active in the warehouse.

"He's not here?" Gwen frowned. According to her intel, Vulture should have been here.

"Let's go in and see." Cassius took the lead and strode towards the warehouse door. After a few steps, a smile appeared on his face. "I didn't expect this guy to be so careful."

"What?" Gwen looked at Cassius in confusion, not understanding what he meant. Cassius hooked his right hand, and the ground beside them began to turn over rapidly. When all the dirt was cleared, five anti-personnel landmines were revealed.

"He put landmines at the entrance to his own warehouse?!" Gwen's eyes widened. If Cassius hadn't been here, she might have stepped on one. She never thought Vulture would be so cautious.

"Looks like Vulture is pretty interesting." Cassius crushed the detonator of one of the landmines with his right hand and casually tossed the defunct mine into a corner.

He had to admit that Vulture knew his own weaknesses. That's why he was so careful, even around his own place. There weren't even any footprints around the area.

The warehouse had a traditional double-door entrance with a huge lock on it, as big as a human head. This showed that the contents inside were extremely important to Vulture.

Without waiting for Cassius to make a move, Wanda used her chaos magic to twist the lock into a soft ball of play-doh. The moment Cassius pulled the doors open, the contents inside were revealed. The warehouse was filled with military green crates.

"What are all these?" Gwen opened a crate and found broken weapon parts inside. The words on them clearly showed they were discarded Chitauri weapon parts. "This guy is using discarded Chitauri parts to build weapons!" Gwen's eyes widened. She had wondered where Vulture got his weapons from. She never expected them to be salvaged and modified Chitauri weapons!

"It's not that simple." Cassius held up his right hand and crooked his finger. All the crates in the warehouse opened. The vast majority of them were discarded Chitauri parts.

"You guys, come look!" Gwen went to the southeast corner of the warehouse and was shocked by the parts she saw. They were high-tech weapons!

"This guy actually managed to modify these weapons!" Wanda walked to the crate and her pupils contracted. "Looks like the person Tony was investigating for smuggling is Vulture!"

She knew that Tony had been very concerned about a certain weapon smuggling case recently. The weapons were modified Chitauri weapons, and their power had been greatly increased. Each batch of these weapons had caused a lot of casualties to civilians overseas. But the enemy's smuggling methods were too secretive. Tony didn't even have enough time to react.

"If you're looking for smuggled weapons, it's probably the same batch you're looking for!" Gwen took a deep breath, her expression serious as she said her deduction. She had also been investigating Vulture and had found that he was involved in smuggling. But because she hadn't found this place, she wasn't sure what he was smuggling.

"Looks like we're killing two birds with one stone. This will save Tony from having to look for them," Wanda said with a smile. Vulture was too good at hiding. And the Avengers had a lot on their plate, so they didn't have the time to look for him. Now, they could solve both problems at once.

"I wonder where this guy went." Gwen frowned. They couldn't just wait here forever.

"Let's go down and see," Cassius said suddenly. "There's another space down here."

If he hadn't used his senses, he would have never thought that Vulture had something else down here. Under Cassius's guidance, the two of them soon arrived at a carpet. The carpet was black, and it was unclear how dirty it was.

Cassius hooked his right hand, and as the carpet flipped, a steel door was revealed. This was clearly the entrance to a basement.

"This is a password lock." Gwen crouched down, opened a cover, and frowned. If it was a password lock, there was no way they could get in.

"A password?" Cassius put on his Bluetooth headset and said, "Red Queen, crack this password."

While he could have used force to open it, it was connected to the network. If he used force, he might alert the enemy.

"Master, it's open!" In just a few seconds, the password was automatically entered.

"Mr. Cassius, what is this?" Gwen was stunned. She had no idea that this was even possible.

"It's just an AI," Cassius said without explaining Red Queen's origin. Gwen didn't mind and was the first to walk into the basement after the door opened.

As the lights turned on, everything inside was revealed. The warehouse below was made of steel. Not only that, but it was filled with all sorts of materials. This was clearly an underground lab, about 300 square meters. While it wasn't big, it was filled with all sorts of equipment.

As for the materials, a single glance was all it took to tell that they were all parts of various weapons. Some of the weapons hadn't been assembled, but it was clear that they were made of Chitauri weapon materials.

"This is where this guy modifies his weapons!" Wanda was shocked. The Chitauri weapons were incredibly complex. This guy named Vulture was able to assemble them by himself. In a way, Vulture was a genius in the field of science.

The Chitauri were an alien civilization after all, and their technology was very different from Earth's. But even so, Vulture still managed to develop these weapons.

"Laser cannons, self-targeting scopes, laser guns..." Cassius stood in front of the scattered weapons and knew what they were for with just a single glance. He was also surprised to see that these weapons were all put together from different parts. He had even modified a lot of them himself.

"You guys, come look!" Gwen stood in front of a computer and urgently called out to the two of them. When they came up to Gwen, they saw the contents on the screen.

[BANK ROBBERY PLAN!]

When they saw the title, they instantly understood Vulture's plan.

"They're going to act tonight, but there are so many banks here, we can't pinpoint which one!" Gwen had a headache just looking at the plan.

From the looks of it, it not only had the escape plan but also the plan to sell the stolen goods. On top of that, the time for the operation was also clearly written. He was going to act tonight.

The target was a bank in Queens, but it didn't specify which one. They only had the blueprints of the bank vaults. But with just the blueprints, they couldn't pinpoint Vulture's target in a short amount of time.

"I'll notify Tony," Wanda said hesitantly. If they let Tony search, he would probably be able to find his location very soon.

"No need, I have a way," Cassius said, waving his hand to stop Wanda from calling. "Red Queen, lock on to Vulture's current location!"

While he could instantly use his senses, it would be difficult to find him without knowing his aura.

Compared to him, Red Queen would be faster. As long as there was a network camera, Red Queen could immediately lock onto his location, no matter where he was.

"Master, his location has been confirmed. Vulture is in the circle to the right of the Gosk Bank branch." In less than three seconds, Red Queen had already locked onto Vulture's location through the network.

"We found Vulture. Should I do it?" Cassius turned to Gwen and asked. If he were to make a move, he could make someone like him disappear from the face of the Earth without even needing to be there. This would save them a trip.

"I want to get revenge myself!" Gwen took a deep breath and looked at Cassius with a determined expression. If Vulture hadn't ambushed her, she wouldn't have been at a disadvantage. She also didn't want to hide under Cassius's wing forever. She believed she could handle Vulture herself.

....

Outside Gosk Bank in Queens, five figures appeared in an alley. One of them was particularly striking. He had a pair of huge mechanical wings on his back. His coat was covered in all sorts of weapons. And the most striking thing was the mask on his face.

Unlike the others' masks, his was like that of a medieval doctor. It was a beak-like mask, but the beak was much smaller. The other four people were all armed and were waiting for Vulture's orders with a serious expression.

"You're all ready, right?" Vulture raised his hand and looked at the designated time. When he saw that everyone had nodded, he pressed the button he was holding without hesitation.

The bank's electronic doors slowly opened. In the middle of the night, no one noticed the door opening. This was a program that Vulture had specifically set up. As soon as he pressed the button, it would immediately cut off all nearby connections. This prevented the police from seeing any real-time surveillance footage of the area. Not only that, but it could also open all the network-connected doors in the bank.

"Boss, you're the best!" one of his thugs exclaimed. This saved them a lot of trouble. They wouldn't have to worry about being discovered in a short amount of time.

"Stop talking nonsense," Vulture said coldly as he led the way into the bank. "We only have ten minutes!"

While he had already hacked the cameras, the police's internal detection system wasn't for show. They would definitely be discovered within ten minutes. The nearest police station was only eight minutes away. So they had to finish everything in twenty minutes to ensure a safe escape.

Vulture had studied the route to the vault many times and easily arrived outside. The four people he had brought didn't even need him to say anything. When they saw the vault, they immediately attached bombs to the door.

BOOM!

With a few loud explosions, the vault door was blown open. All the safety deposit boxes inside were revealed.

"Boss! We're rich this time!" When the few people rushed in, they couldn't help but let out a sharp cheer. Although the cash would be taken away at night, the bank was known for storing a lot of private items. These private items were priceless. There were also countless luxury jewels.

"Stop with the nonsense. Hurry up!" Vulture frowned and yelled. He also quickly walked towards one of the deposit boxes. His goal this time wasn't just money. If it was just money, he could have just sold weapons. His main goal was to get a file that a Stark company shareholder had hidden here. His goal, of course, was the file.

Just as he was about to take out the file, he heard footsteps from outside the vault.

"Looks like you guys are pretty fast." Cassius walked in with Wanda and Gwen. Looking at the mess, Cassius couldn't help but sigh. Their work efficiency was simply too fast. Based on the time, it had only been less than three minutes since the plan started, and they had already opened the vault door. Even professional bank robbers wouldn't be able to be this fast.

"Vulture, you're going to get caught!" Gwen lowered her body and got into a fighting stance.

"I was wondering who it was. Turns out, it's Ghost-Spider. I didn't think you were still alive!" Vulture's muffled laughter came from under his mask when he saw Gwen.

"I'm not going to die, but I'm not so sure about you!" Gwen gnashed her teeth and stared at Vulture. She wasn't going to let her guard down this time. On top of that, they were in a vault. While the space was big, it was much better than fighting in the streets. At least she could handle Vulture's flying abilities.

"Wait, you're Stark Company's Cassius?" At that moment, Vulture noticed Cassius next to Gwen. He knew because he hated Stark Company so much that he had memorized all the shareholders' information.

"Yeah? You want an autograph?" Cassius's mouth curved up as he teased him.

"Die!" Vulture didn't give anyone a chance to react and lunged forward. But before he could get to them, Gwen immediately wrapped him in her webs. With two webs, she stuck his wings to the ground.

As for the other four thugs, just as they were about to take out the weapons Vulture had given them, a scarlet light flashed. Their weapons instantly began to melt. In just a second, the few people turned into ash.

"Damn it!" Vulture cursed. If the four of them had reacted faster, this wouldn't have happened. But there was nothing he could do. He had just randomly hired these four to take the fall for him.

To make matters worse, Gwen already knew his weakness. So she had immediately webbed his wings. The next second, Gwen had swung to his back using the wall.

CRUNCH!

With a sharp sound, Gwen directly tore off his wings.
