"Would you like me to bring them over?"
When Wanda heard this, her eyes widened with joy. She had been struggling with this very question. After all, Cassius still had Gwen, and it might be a little awkward if she brought it up.
But if Cassius offered to introduce himself, it would be a completely different story. It would mean he wanted to meet her friends, and she wouldn't have to be secretive anymore.
Who wouldn't want their boyfriend to publicly acknowledge them and introduce them to others?
So after asking this, Wanda stared intently at Cassius. She was a little afraid he would refuse, but she really wanted to get her friends' blessings. Right now, nobody knew who Cassius was. If he was willing to introduce himself, it would be perfect.
Tony, Steve, Natasha, and the others were her best friends. She wished everyone could get to know Cassius!
"Whatever you want." Cassius wasn't thinking too much about it. He had only been hiding his identity because of Wanda in the first place. Also, he didn't want his identity to attract too much attention. Otherwise, it would be a hassle just dealing with them. He had come to this world to enjoy life, not to put his heart and soul into everything.
Look at Tony, for example. If he hadn't become Iron Man, he would probably still be partying every day. Everyone's life was different, but Cassius knew very well that he didn't like that kind of life.
He had only dealt with Dormammu because he had promised the Ancient One to take good care of Stephen. Otherwise, he wouldn't have actively gone to the Dark Dimension. He had always been a person who hated trouble.
Of course, he didn't mind completing certain key events because it meant he would get better rewards from the system.
"Oh..." Wanda's excited expression suddenly turned to disappointment. She had thought Cassius was the one to bring it up. But she hadn't expected him to just ask casually, with no emotional fluctuations on his face.
She had always believed that if two people wanted to have a good relationship, their social circles should be more intertwined. Both sides should meet each other's friends and introduce themselves. But Cassius clearly had no such intention; it seemed like he didn't care about any of it.
"What's wrong? You seem unhappy." Cassius noticed the disappointment on Wanda's face and asked with a confused tone. After all, it was easy to see the disappointment on her face.
"It's nothing," Wanda shook her head and continued, "As for the others, they're in charge of the logistics now. I came here first because that's not my job."
Since Cassius didn't bring it up, she figured their relationship wasn't close enough. And although she wanted him to be a part of her circle, if he didn't want to, she wouldn't push it.
The reason the other Avengers didn't come over was that they were completely stunned by Cassius's power. They did want to know his identity, but he was so powerful, and he had deliberately hidden his face last time. There was no way they would approach him, no matter how curious they were.
After all, if the mysterious person got angry, they would all be screwed. The "logistics" were just an excuse.
They didn't want to needlessly create an enemy they couldn't defeat. To them, the mysterious person was a temporarily stable, unpredictable factor. If he got angry because they found out his identity, the entire Avengers team combined would be no match for him.
On top of that, they had just seen Odin get beaten down to his knees. Even the Asgardians knelt before the mysterious person. They didn't even need to ask to know what the situation was. That's why they didn't come over.
"I see, that's great! It's been a long time since we've seen each other!" Cassius grinned, his eyes sparkling. He took a step forward and wrapped his arms around Wanda.
He had to admit that he had been busy with chores for a while. He hadn't even had time to sit down and talk with Gwen. Now that he had finally seen Wanda, he couldn't help but miss her.
"Did you miss me?" Wanda's sadness was pushed aside by the hug. She had also missed Cassius during this time, but there were so many chores within the Avengers team. While they didn't have to go out and fight, they still had a lot of mundane things to do.
"Of course I missed you!" Cassius gave Wanda a look, and she instantly understood what he meant.
"I knew it. You pervert, that's not what's on your mind!" Wanda mumbled a curse under her breath, but she was still a little happy. No matter what, Cassius was thinking about her.
"By the way, have you eaten?" Cassius wrapped his arms around Wanda's waist and said with a meaningful tone, "I can make you a Western meal today. Like a hot dog sandwich and some milk!"
As soon as he said that, Wanda's face instantly turned red. But looking at Cassius, who was so close, she couldn't help but nod. She had learned from chatting with Natasha that if a person wasn't full, they would want to go out and buy other things to eat. So, it was important to be full at home to ensure they wouldn't go out to eat.
"So, should we go back now?" Cassius's face was glowing as he looked at Wanda's shy expression. He had to admit that as they became more familiar with each other, Wanda's responses were also becoming more passionate. He couldn't help but feel a little hungry himself!
Wanda glanced at the police officers in the distance, looking a little hesitant. Although she had been the first one to come over, there were still a lot of things that needed to be handled on site.
The battle had affected a very wide area. In New York alone, a lot of people had been injured from the sudden tremor. On top of that, a lot of cars had rear-ended each other due to the huge shock.
A lot of things on the sea needed to be arranged and handled as well. This battle had affected far too many people.
"It's fine. Tony and the others will definitely handle it!" Although Wanda didn't tell Cassius the reason, he could guess what she was thinking. Without another word, he drew a circle with his right hand and summoned a golden Inter-Dimensional Portal. "Let's go!"
Before Wanda could say anything, he had already wrapped his arms around her and brought her into the mansion.
"It seems they didn't come to an agreement?" In the distance, Tony looked at the two figures walking through the Inter-Dimensional Portal and shook his head helplessly. They had sent Wanda over to see if she could introduce them.
He really hoped that this mysterious person would join the Avengers. After all, this mysterious person was far more powerful than they had imagined. If they could get him on their side, they wouldn't have to worry about any accidents when they faced a crisis in the future.
"That's normal. A person like that probably doesn't want to join a children's game," Rhodey stood to the side, shrugging his shoulders with an "I knew it" expression. He had already guessed it. The mysterious person had everything. With so much power, money, status, and fame were all within his reach. Joining the Avengers would just be adding unnecessary trouble to his life.
"It's a real shame. If that kind of power could be used to protect the Earth..." Steve sat on a collapsed tree, shaking his head with a look of helplessness. He was a little disappointed with this outcome.
With great power comes great responsibility. But it was clear that the other person didn't want to take on that responsibility.
"Forget it, guys. We still have a lot of things to clean up," Tony clapped his hands and was the first to turn and walk towards the Quinjet.
The police had already taken over the work on site. And there were no injured residents in the vicinity, so they decided to go and help with disaster relief in other places.
....
In the mansion, Lorna was lying on the sofa in a short skirt, watching a TV show. She was humming a song and swinging her legs from time to time. This kind of life was incredibly comfortable for her. She could have anything she wanted to eat.
Hum...
"Lorna..." With a humming sound, Lorna turned her head. Cassius walked into the living room with his arms around Wanda, stepping through the Inter-Dimensional Portal.
"Mr. Cassius! Big Sister!" When Lorna saw them, she froze. She hadn't expected Cassius to come back at this moment, and she had been acting so casually. She didn't even remember eating her potato chips. She immediately sat up straight, her face a bright red.
"It's okay, you don't have to be so nervous!" Cassius chuckled. In some ways, Lorna was pretty cute. Even though she had been here for a while, she had never relaxed in front of him. This meant that whenever he was home, Lorna would spend most of her time in her room. It was rare to see her so relaxed in the living room.
"Lorna," Wanda looked at her half-sister, a complex mix of emotions flashing in her eyes. She had to admit that after getting close to her sister, a unique feeling had appeared in her heart. It was a feeling of blood connection, as if she was very familiar with her sister.
"Big Sister." Lorna was clearly very constrained. She didn't even know how to act around her family. There was a mix of happiness and fear, as if she could be abandoned at any time.
"Go and have a good chat with your sister." Cassius patted Wanda on the butt and said with a smile.
With a crisp sound, Wanda's face instantly turned red. She glared at Cassius, both angry and embarrassed. "Lorna is here! What are you doing?!"
She was incredibly embarrassed to be "assaulted" in front of her sister. But because of this, Wanda's mood relaxed a lot.
The two of them sat on the sofa and chatted about their experiences. They were both in a similar situation, and they were in their current predicament because of Hydra.
After half an hour, Lorna suddenly seemed to remember something. She patted her head and said, "Mr. Cassius, Big Sister, you haven't eaten yet, have you?"
"No." Wanda nodded subconsciously. After all, they had rushed over as soon as the incident happened and hadn't eaten anything. But Cassius's face changed drastically. He even looked a little upset. He had a bad feeling.
"I made a special meal today. It's the perfect time for you and Big Sister to try it!" The moment Lorna said that, Cassius's heart finally gave out. He had already guessed what was going to happen, but after finding out, he still felt like he was going to break down.
"Um..." Cassius looked at the excited Lorna and finally sighed helplessly. He wanted to refuse, but it was Lorna's goodwill. On top of that, Wanda was also here. It wouldn't be right to just refuse like that.
Lorna brought them to the dining room and quickly took out the prepared food from a thermos. This time, she had made ten dishes. While they might not be perfect in color, aroma, and taste, they were at least colorful and flavorful. From the looks of it, it was a lot better than the last time.
"Lorna, you made all this?" Wanda asked in surprise. Her own cooking skills weren't very good. She hadn't expected her sister to have such good cooking skills.
"Sort of. Sister Imelda helped me a lot!" Lorna awkwardly scratched the back of her head. When she had first started cooking, everything was either burnt or undercooked. It was only because Imelda was there that she was able to make so many dishes.
"Lorna has really improved a lot!" Cassius was so relieved that he was almost in tears. He had made up his mind that he would give Imelda a raise no matter what. If it weren't for Imelda, Lorna's KDA would have been +2 today.
At the dinner table, everyone was happy. Wanda couldn't help but look at Cassius next to her. Under the light, his chiseled face looked a lot softer. She unconsciously placed her hand on his leg. She didn't know how much time had passed, but she finally had a sense of home again. All of this was thanks to Cassius.
"Huh?" Cassius felt her slender hand and met Wanda's eyes. The next second, a meaningful expression appeared on his face. He hadn't expected Wanda to be more forward than him sometimes.
"Lorna, you can eat first. Your sister and I have some work to do upstairs!" When he said that, Lorna was stunned. What kind of work? But before she could ask, she saw Cassius wrap his arms around her sister and quickly walk upstairs.
"Mr. Cassius and Big Sister are so in love," Lorna looked at the passionate Cassius and Wanda, her face filled with envy. But to her, as long as her sister was happy, she was happy.
After a passionate time upstairs, Wanda stretched lazily. Her body felt sore. "Cassius, can we go on a trip in a few days?"
"Sure. Where do you want to go?" Cassius agreed without a second thought. He didn't have anything to do anyway. He might as well go out with Wanda and see if he could find some fun.
"I want to go to Westview. It's a town I passed by before. The scenery is pleasant, and the cherry blossoms are in full bloom," Wanda said without hesitation.
Cassius didn't expect Wanda to want to go to Westview. In the comics, that place was Wanda's dream home. She wanted to start a family there with her loved one. This meant that Wanda had completely accepted him.
"Let's drive there. We can look at the scenery along the way," Wanda held Cassius's hand and asked in a pleading tone. Cassius nodded and agreed to everything she had planned.
At sunset, Cassius took Wanda to the balcony to watch the sunset.
Suddenly, the manor alarm went off.
"Master, there's an intruder!" the voice of Red Queen suddenly rang out.
"Intruder?" Cassius's mind moved, and he immediately sensed everything in the manor. The next second, he felt Gwen, wearing her Ghost-Spider suit, stumbling over the wall. She looked a little disheveled. As soon as she got over the wall, she fell to the ground, motionless.
"It's Gwen. She doesn't look so good." Cassius and Wanda immediately got up and went downstairs to find Gwen.
