Boom!
A figure drew a wide arc through the air, crashing hard into the ground. The soil around them instantly exploded. A woman in a black, form-fitting suit, with a graceful but powerful figure, appeared. Her eyes were full of a manic energy and an unbridled rage.
"Odin! I can't believe you old fool actually came! I thought you were just going to hide like a coward!" Hela's lips curled into a sneer, her eyes filled with a murderous intent. There was no one she hated more than Odin, the damned old man who dared to seal her away.
"Hela! Silence! You dare to stand before the All-Father and not kneel!" Thor's face twisted in rage at the sight of Hela. The memory of his humiliation came flooding back. If Odin wasn't here, he would have charged forward immediately. The shame she had put him through was something he could never forget!
"Oh, look, if it isn't our god of hammers! Did you run home crying to mommy?" Hela crossed her arms, her chin tilted up, and her eyes filled with mockery and disdain. Seeing her so-called brother so enraged brought her a great deal of pleasure.
"You!" Thor's voice trembled, his eyes burning with fury. Hela's words made his face turn grim. It was true that without Mjolnir, he couldn't control lightning. He was supposed to be the God of Thunder, yet he was dependent on Mjolnir.
What Hela said was true. Without Mjolnir, he couldn't awaken his divine power. While the hammer provided convenience, it also became an invisible shackle. Once he lost it, he couldn't awaken the power within his body.
"Frigga is dead." Odin's eyes flashed with a hint of sorrow as he spoke those words.
At this, the endless rage in Hela's eyes faded, replaced by a deep silence. She couldn't believe Frigga was dead. Although Frigga was not her birth mother, she was the one who cared for her the most. No matter what pain she went through, Frigga was always there for her.
She knew Frigga had pleaded for her even as she was being sealed away. So, upon hearing this news, her spirits plummeted.
"You're a damned fool. You couldn't even protect her!" Hela turned all her hatred onto Odin. In her eyes, Odin had failed to fulfill his duty.
"Hela, I can't believe after all these years, you're still the same." Odin looked at Hela with a slight frown. He knew her true nature, but seeing her now still displeased him.
"Heh, old man, if you kneel before me, I'll be as gentle as a dove!" Hela showed no respect for Odin. All she felt was endless rage. The only thing she wanted was to see Odin die in front of her. Only then would her hatred be washed away.
"You damned woman! How dare you speak to the All-Father like that!" Thor couldn't stand it any longer. He grabbed a large battle-ax and pointed it at Hela, shouting in anger.
"Shut up, you useless fool!" Hela flung her hands open. The hair on her head began to change, transforming into a helmet with sharp horns. Two Nightswords appeared in her hands. The long black blades looked as if they were coated in poison, a faint green glow appearing at their tips.
Whoosh!
Without a word, she launched her attack. The two sharp blades shot forward, one after the other, cutting through the air and flying towards Odin's chest.
As the blades were released, the air around them swirled, wrapping around the spinning blades. The resulting hurricane even lifted the grass from the ground, creating two massive earthen thorns. The mud, mixed with the Nightswords, thrust forward, looking like spears that could pierce through anything.
"Let me handle this!" Thor saw the fierce attack and leaped in front of Odin, his eyes filled with determination.
Lightning began to flow through his hands, the bright light constantly gathering. He himself was like a cannonball, charging straight towards the two earthen thorns.
He moved past them in a flash, grabbing the end of the first Nightsword with his right hand. At the same time, he unleashed a terrifying force from his body and grabbed the other with his left.
The veins on his arms bulged, but the moment he touched them, a powerful green light exploded. The immense power sent Thor flying, dozens of meters away. After rolling on the ground a few times, he finally got up.
But his intervention, while not stopping the Nightswords, had diverted their path. They flew off in two different directions, exploding upon impact and sending dirt flying everywhere. Even the trees were shattered by the energy they brought with them.
"God of Hammers, you're too weak!" Hela raised her right hand, and the Nightswords on the ground flew up. They spun in the air, wrapped in green energy, before returning to Hela's hands. She looked at Thor, who was glaring at her, and a hint of sadness flashed in her eyes. "You should be glad you're not me. You were never forced to fight every day and live with death from a young age."
"Your peaceful life has made you lose the blood of a warrior. It has made you decadent and weak." As Hela said this, a look of remembrance appeared in her eyes, and her tone was filled with endless emotion.
The time she spent constantly on the brink of death was something she couldn't accept. Although her power grew stronger, the experience was something she would never forget. The feelings of darkness, death, despair, pain, and wailing were like a fear that constantly enveloped her.
"Father?" Thor stood up, looking at Odin with a confused expression. He could tell that what his sister was saying didn't sound like nonsense. It sounded like the truth. If that was the case, then his father was not the wise and benevolent king he had imagined.
Odin merely glanced at Thor and tightened his grip on the Gungnir that was plunged into the ground.
"Enough! Hela, since you are so stubborn, then don't blame me!" Odin slowly pulled Gungnir from the ground. A terrifying pressure began to spread from his body. The ground around him was suddenly crushed by an immense force. The ground caved in, layer by layer, as if an invisible weight was pressing down on it.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
As the pressure increased, the ground was pushed down by dozens of centimeters. Odin walked toward Hela step by step, his movements filled with arrogance and anger. His body glowed with a golden light.
Anyone who knew Odin would know that he was truly enraged. He was the King of Gods, and he would not allow anyone to question his decisions!
"It's about time we settled our score!" Hela looked at Odin walking toward her, her eyes filled with caution and seriousness.
This was completely different from her foolish brother. This was Odin! His power was terrifying, and she had to face him with 120% of her focus.
She tightened her grip on her Nightswords and crouched down slightly. A dark green light wrapped around her, giving her faster speed and power.
Boom!
The next moment, the spot where she was standing exploded. The dirt and withered grass flew everywhere. At this moment, her speed was almost faster than light. All that could be seen was a faint green light flashing by.
Hela pulled her right hand down, and a giant green beam of light appeared in the sky, shooting toward Odin. At the same time, she used this opportunity to close in on him!
The terrifying beam of light shot down, leaving a scorched mark and a deep crater on the ground. A terrifying aura instantly enveloped the entire area.
"Hmph!" Odin raised Gungnir and swung it towards the sky. A golden light shot out, sweeping toward the oncoming light beam. The moment it touched the light beam, a strange sound was heard.
Bzzzzz...
The light beam was sliced in two by the golden light. At the same time, the golden light began to spread, consuming the light beam in the blink of an eye.
In the distance, a man sat in a copper chair, smoking a cigarette. He was calmly crossing his legs, looking into the distance with a hint of interest, a smirk on his face. He looked like an incredibly majestic king in his leisurely posture. His eyes, which glowed with a faint red light, seemed to see everything. His expression was calm as he watched everything unfold.
Cassius had initially wanted to step in and handle the situation, but he didn't expect Hela to ask to fight on her own. She wanted to settle this fight with her own power. After all, this was a revenge that had been brewing for thousands of years. Taking this into consideration, Cassius didn't intervene immediately and instead watched quietly.
Bang!
At this moment, Hela had used the opportunity to get in front of Odin. Gungnir and the Nightswords clashed, and a terrifying force erupted around them. The sound of steel on steel echoed as the weapons collided.
The humming sound from the clash made the golden-armored warriors cover their ears. The force alone was something they could not get involved in!
As the force erupted, the ground rose up and shattered in all directions. The two of them stood in the center, looking at each other with nothing but anger in their eyes.
"Gungnir is so much better than Mjolnir." Cassius leaned back in his chair with a comfortable posture. He could clearly feel the difference between Gungnir and Mjolnir. It was a weapon that had been tested on the Celestials, after all.
Back then, the Celestials wanted to turn the Nine Realms into a testing ground, and Odin fought back. At that time, Odin had worn the Destroyer Armor and wielded Gungnir to fight the ancient Celestials. Although Odin was severely wounded after the battle, several Celestials died!
It was this battle that established Odin's position, making his name famous throughout the cosmos and cementing his status as the All-Father.
Before long, Hela was at a disadvantage. Odin's experience was too vast, and Hela had not been in a fight for many years.
Hela used the pressure from the weapons to leap back dozens of meters. A thick, pitch-black divine power was released from her body, spreading all around her. The air around her rippled, and space itself began to twist.
At the same time, a thick stench of death filled the air. It was a stench that was impossible to describe, and it was accompanied by countless wails and cries. As the sounds spread, the ground cracked open, as if hell was returning to Earth.
An army of the dead crawled out from the ground. This was her Death's Realm!
The wailing spirits struggled to escape. Their hateful cries echoed through the sky, as if they were helping Hela release her endless fury.
Odin's expression was grim. He had to be serious when facing Hela who was using her death-related power!
He gritted his teeth, and a dazzling golden light erupted from his eyes. His immense divine power gathered in Gungnir. As the golden light gathered, Gungnir began to tremble, and its energy made it feel as if it had come to life.
Odin took a deep breath and threw Gungnir at Hela and her army. At this moment, Gungnir, filled with endless divine power, turned into a meteor. It flew toward Hela with terrifying speed, arriving in an instant.
The terrifying energy was too much for even the undead that had crawled from the ground to withstand. Even from a dozen meters away, they were torn to shreds by the power.
Hela's heart tightened, but she was not afraid. She gripped her two Nightswords tightly, gritted her teeth, and raised her blades to try and knock Gungnir away.
Boom!
However, when Gungnir hit, a massive energy exploded, and a visible golden light arc spread out!
The golden light enveloped everything. It was like a circular barrier that kept expanding, spreading to everything around it. The power pushed the ground and the undead in all directions.
When the undead touched the golden light, they let out terrifying screams. It was like a bulldozer. As the golden light spread, it covered an area of two kilometers. When the golden light disappeared, the entire undead army was gone!
On the plains, a huge crater had appeared. It looked as if it had been bombed by countless missiles. The crater itself was over forty meters deep.
Hela was severely wounded, lying in the crater. Blood oozed from her pores, and it flowed from her mouth. The golden Gungnir was standing in the ground right beside her. If she hadn't moved a little, she would have been impaled by the terrifying weapon. But even now, she was not in good shape. She had been sealed for many years, and her divine power was too weak. She no longer had the power to fight Odin.
Odin's expression was indifferent as he raised his hand. Gungnir sensed his power and flew toward him. He retrieved Gungnir and walked into the crater toward Hela.
"Hela, in the name of the All-Father, in the name of the gods of old, and in the name of the Nine Realms, I sentence you to..." Odin walked into the crater, looked at Hela lying on the ground, and began to declare his judgment.
Whoosh!
As he was speaking, Odin suddenly felt a danger rapidly approaching. His eyes widened. In the next second, a figure suddenly appeared, standing right in front of Hela.
Thor was stunned. He hadn't even seen how the man had appeared. Following that was a feeling of unspeakable dread. This speed was too fast, so fast he couldn't see it. He was certain that this was not magic. It was power! The purest kind of power!
"Hela is now my subordinate." The man stood with his hands in his pockets. After confirming that Hela was okay, he slowly walked to a spot less than half a meter away from Odin and spoke in an unquestionable tone. "Did you ask me about this?"
Odin's brow furrowed, and his heart began to race. A terrifying aura was erupting from this young man. This was a terrifying power he had never felt before.
