Asgard. The Realm of the Gods, within the Palace of the Aesir.
"Father, why have you summoned me?" A man with a beard, long golden-blond hair, and armor strode in. Every movement exuded a rough, rugged aura, and his deep voice echoed faintly throughout the great hall. He had been on his way to defeat the Fire Giants, so he was shocked when his father, the Allfather, called him back.
"Thor, I have a matter for you to attend to." The man on the throne was Odin, the Allfather. His expression was incredibly serious and authoritative, his voice leaving no room for doubt. It was clear that Odin's face carried a troubled look.
"Just say the word, Father, and I'll take care of it!" Thor thumped his chest, the metal on his armor clanking. He looked incredibly proud, and his tone was full of confidence. But he couldn't help but feel a little confused. Why would his father call him back even before he could deal with the Fire Giants?
"The truth is, you've always had a sister. Many years ago, she was sealed away in Norway, on Midgard." As Odin spoke, a complex mix of emotions flashed in his slightly clouded eyes. He had a lot of mixed feelings about his daughter.
"I have a sister?" Thor was stunned, as if struck by lightning. He never imagined he had a sister, and that Odin had never told him. More importantly, this sister was sealed on Midgard. He knew that only Odin could have given such an order. But he couldn't understand why his father would be so heartless as to seal his own sister.
"Yes," Odin nodded slowly, then continued, "She committed a grave offense, so she was sealed. She was meant to remain sealed, but she somehow escaped early."
He knew Hela's nature. With Hela on the loose, there was bound to be chaos and bloodshed. He had to find a way to resolve this matter before Hela caused a catastrophe.
"So you want me to...?" Thor looked puzzled. Although he wanted to know the reason, seeing Odin's solemn expression, he ultimately didn't ask. If his father wanted to tell him, he would have done so already.
"I want you to find Hela's whereabouts." Odin took a deep breath, stating his plan with a grave voice. Hela absolutely could not be left alone. And out of all the people, Thor was the most suitable choice. Although his strength was not equal to Hela's, finding her and escaping should not be too difficult.
"Alright, leave this to me!" Thor casually agreed. All he had to do was bring back this sister he had never met. It was no problem at all. What's more, he was very curious about this so-called sister. What could she have done to be sealed on Midgard by his own father?
"Wait."
Just as Thor was about to turn and leave, he heard Odin's voice behind him. Thor turned back, a little confused.
"Be careful on your journey. Hela's power is very strong. Even if you find her, do not act rashly. You must notify me immediately." Odin warned him gravely. He knew Thor was impulsive. If he were to get into a fight with Hela, he would not be a match for her at all. That's why Odin had to be the one to seal Hela again.
"Okay, Father," Thor nodded absentmindedly and walked out. He didn't take Odin's words to heart at all. She may be his sister, but how much stronger could she possibly be? He was Thor, the God of Thunder! There were few who could defeat him.
After watching his impulsive son leave, Odin, on his throne, sighed deeply, looking heavy-hearted.
This matter was far from simple. He knew very well that Hela could not have broken the seal by herself. Although the seal was unstable because of his weakened power, she should not have been able to escape.
But just then, a certain energy appeared. This energy directly allowed Hela to break the seal and escape. He truly couldn't figure out who this power belonged to. And what were this person's intentions?
It was all giving him a headache. After all, he didn't know when such a being had appeared on Midgard. Everything seemed so confusing. He could only hope that this time, arresting Hela wouldn't cause any more trouble.
....
Earth, on the outskirts of New York.
The landscape was now a wasteland. Not only were the surrounding trees torn up as if by a Category 5 hurricane, but the once lush, green grass was gone, replaced by a sandy wasteland like a barren desert.
What was even more terrifying was that the original large mountain had disappeared without a trace. The entire mountain range had been moved to another location, as if it had been lifted and then placed somewhere else, a true miracle.
Large numbers of police officers surrounded the area, pulling up a cordon that stretched for several kilometers. Most of the police force in New York had been dispatched here.
"Oh my god, what on earth happened?" Black Widow Natasha Romanoff looked around, her mouth agape in shock.
Leaving aside everything else, just the sight of the mountain range was enough to make her hair stand on end. Although she had seen the mysterious person in action before, this was on another level. The visual impact was even more terrifying.
She couldn't understand how it was done. Even if they brought out the largest mining vehicles from Stark Industries, it would take more than a day to move this mountain!
Not long ago, they had received a report of a huge explosion here. And some people said they saw a mountain flying. They originally thought the witnesses had been mistaken, but they never expected to see such an unbelievable sight when they arrived. This was more than just a large explosion.
"Damn it. The Winter Soldier situation is already bad enough, and now this kind of weird stuff happens in New York all the time." War Machine James "Rhodey" Rhodes looked at the scene in front of him, at a loss for words.
Lately, Tony and Steve's relationship had become increasingly tense, with both of them at each other's throats every time they met. And now, weird things were happening frequently in New York—magnetic fields were going haywire, and energy explosions were a common occurrence.
Someone who didn't know any better would think it was the end of the world. And all these messes were happening near New York. He had to go investigate these things every three days, but he couldn't figure anything out.
"The situation here seems to..." Natasha's eyes caught something. She crouched down and carefully examined the marks on the ground, frowning slightly.
There was a little bit of black powder on the ground, but the powder was so fine. If you didn't look closely, you would think it was just some ground-up black rock. From the fine texture, it was even crushed to the point where you couldn't see any grains of sand.
The more she looked at it, the more she felt she had seen it somewhere before...
"Where was it? I've definitely seen this before!" Natasha gritted her teeth, racking her brain. Just then, her eyes suddenly widened, and she remembered a place! It was Orchard Beach!
Was this the work of that mysterious person? Or, are all the recent strange incidents the work of this mysterious person?
"What's wrong? Is there something off about this stuff?" Rhodey also noticed Natasha's grave expression. It looked like she had found something big.
"I think this stuff might be..." Natasha was about to voice her suspicion.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, a massive pillar of rainbow light descended from the sky. The dazzling light made everyone present squint. Then, a man slowly walked out of the brilliant light. From his slightly bulky figure, it was none other than Thor, the God of Thunder!
Natasha and Rhodey were both surprised to see Thor. What was this guy doing on Earth when he should be in Asgard?
"Long time no see, everyone." Thor spread his arms and gave Rhodey a hug, his every move showing his carefree nature.
"Why are you here?" Natasha asked with a puzzled tone. After all, Thor would never show up here unless something was wrong.
"Don't even get me started. My sister, Hela, is missing." Thor didn't hide anything. He spread his hands, looking at the two with a helpless expression.
"Missing?!" Natasha and Rhodey immediately felt something was terribly wrong. Last time, the "missing" Loki almost destroyed all of New York. Now a sister is missing? Is she going to destroy all of New York? These Asgardians were no joke. The thought gave both of them a headache.
"I don't know how to put it, but 'missing' seems to be the right word." Thor shrugged, answering casually. He didn't think this so-called sister of his could cause too much trouble.
"So why are you here now?" Rhodey asked, puzzled. If he was looking for his sister, why would he show up at their location?
"I felt Hela's presence here last, so I just used the Bifrost to come here." He thought the energy was just too great to not notice.
"Wait, did you say your sister's presence disappeared here?" Natasha asked with a look of surprise. She had found evidence of the mysterious person here.
"Yeah. From the state of the surrounding area, it looks like my sister did this..." Thor looked around, sighing helplessly. This was indeed a bit of a mess. "But don't worry, we Asgardians will take full responsibility for this!"
"This isn't just about taking responsibility." Natasha felt dizzy for a moment. Earth was already in chaos. Now, before they could even solve their own problems, Asgardian matters were getting involved. To make matters worse, it seemed the mysterious person had a fight with Thor's sister. Looking at this inhuman sight, it was probably a huge fight.
Tink, tink...
Rhodey's Bluetooth headset suddenly started blinking. After he answered the call, his expression instantly became incredibly serious.
"What's wrong?" Natasha saw Rhodey's grave expression and immediately felt something was wrong. Don't tell me, before we've even dealt with this mess, something else has happened?
"Steve took Sam and the others and went to Germany." Rhodey gritted his teeth and hung up the phone. He had no idea what was going on. But he had a feeling it had something to do with the Winter Soldier, Bucky.
"How's Tony now?" Natasha could already guess that Tony would be furious when he heard this news.
"Tony is going after them too." Rhodey let out a long breath, his face a mess. Tony's emotions were unstable lately. After seeing this, who knows what he might do.
"Looks like Tony is going to lose it." Natasha shook her head helplessly. "I just hope there won't be any unnecessary conflict."
The tension within the team had been growing lately. If they really started fighting, the consequences would be unimaginable.
"What are you guys talking about? What's wrong? Did something happen?" Thor rubbed his beard, looking at everything his sister had done. When he noticed their solemn expressions, he walked over cheerfully.
"No time to explain," Rhodey shook his head, saying that they had to get back now.
"Okay then, you can tell me on the way!" Thor didn't mind and quickly followed the two.
On the plane.
"What?! So you guys broke up?" Thor jumped up, making the cabin shake. He looked at Tony with disbelief in his eyes.
"Thor, 'break up' is for romantic relationships," Rhodey looked at Thor as if he were an idiot. He couldn't help but shake his head as he explained.
"Oh," Thor's lips twitched. He said awkwardly, "Well, it's pretty much the same."
"Can you please shut up for a sec?!" Looking at the nonstop chatter from Thor, Tony snapped irritably. He was furious right now. He never imagined Steve would run away with them!
"Tony, where are we going now?" Thor scratched the back of his head, not caring about Tony's tone.
"Ross just issued the final order to capture the Winter Soldier. But Steve and his friends are trying to help him flee!" Tony gritted his teeth, his voice filled with suppressed anger. He was really angry that Steve was so reckless. He would go to such lengths for one person!
"Tony, we can't solve this with violence, can we?" Natasha frowned, hesitating as she spoke. She didn't want to see her former comrades fighting each other. She couldn't accept something like that.
What's more, it wasn't just Steve alone this time. Sam, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, and others were with him. If they started fighting, it wouldn't be easy to stop. She just hoped they could all sit down and talk things out.
"Natasha," Tony suddenly turned around, his eyes glaring as he said, "Whose side are you on?!" He paused and walked to the corner. A young man with a black skin and an air of nobility was sitting there.
Tony took a deep breath to calm his emotions, then said, "This is T'Challa, the Black Panther."
"Everyone, I'm here for revenge for my father." The Black Panther T'Challa's eyes were full of fury. "Bucky killed my father with a bomb, a man who loved peace so much."
Upon hearing this, the cabin fell into silence. No one spoke. Their expressions were grim. Even the usually cheerful Thor fell silent.
Wanda, sitting in the corner of the cabin, didn't say a word, just watching the scene unfold, her face filled with grief. Both sides were her friends. She couldn't take a side. She didn't want to help anyone, but she couldn't stand aside either. After much hesitation, a cell phone appeared in her hand.
[Wanda]: Cassius, I'm in trouble. I hope you can help me...
