Chapter 41 - A Jealous Wanda. Get Her Off You!

Cassius looked at Gwen, who was clinging to him, and then at Wanda's glaring expression.

Please, big sis, get down! He felt like Wanda in the air could tear him apart. Her eyes looked like a jackal that had its prey stolen. But he was also enjoying the feeling of her chest pressed against him, and for a moment, he didn't want to let go. He finally understood what "exciting" meant.

"Ahem, ahem..." After a while, Cassius awkwardly patted Gwen's thigh. "Alright, you can let go, Miss Ghost-Spider."

He had to say, he could feel the youthful bounciness with those two pats. The feeling almost made him want to take out a certain staff. He really didn't dare to be playful anymore. God knows how angry Wanda would get.

"Oh, sorry, I was just too excited!" Gwen quickly let go.

As she came down, she even brushed against his staff. She couldn't believe a person with so much power would carry a gun.

She couldn't help but wonder. A being with his power was still so cautious. But she had also been too excited. She had just remembered that she was Gwen who was close to Cassius, not Ghost-Spider.

"Alright, Tony will come and handle the scene later." Wanda walked up to Cassius, holding back her anger, and said in a muffled voice. She could also sense that Gwen's mental fluctuations toward Cassius were very strange.

Although Cassius wasn't the one who initiated the hug, she was still filled with jealousy. Even in that short sentence, Cassius could feel the jealousy.

"Witch, it looks like those reporters are here for you." Cassius suddenly noticed the reporters in the distance and quickly changed the subject. He didn't want Wanda to dwell on this any longer. He knew that Wanda could sense his inner thoughts.

"But this time it wasn't..." Wanda was stunned because she had just been a spectator. It didn't feel right for her to be interviewed.

"I don't like being in the spotlight, and the Avengers need to improve their reputation right now." Cassius shook his head.

Although the last incident had improved their reputation somewhat, it was still limited. Giving this credit to Wanda would be a good thing for her. Besides, he had already received his reward from the system. Dealing with those annoying reporters was a task better left for Wanda.

"But..." Wanda looked at the sincere expression on Cassius's face and finally nodded. Cassius was right. The Avengers needed these positive events to maintain public attention.

"Then Ghost-Spider and I will leave first." Cassius looked at Gwen, a subtle smile flashing across his lips. Wanda could only nod helplessly and stay behind to deal with the reporters.

As soon as they left, a large group of reporters immediately surrounded Wanda.

"Scarlet Witch, did you deal with the monster yourself this time?!"

"You're a hero of New York! Is it true that the monster was over ten meters tall?"

"You didn't back down from such a terrifying monster. Was it for the people?"

"Did you sustain any serious injuries during this incident?"

"..."

The reporters only dared to approach after they saw the monster in the distance disappear. So they had no idea what had happened. Seeing only Wanda there, they naturally assumed she had done it all.

"Well..." Wanda was not good at lying. She had a hesitant look on her face. But remembering what Cassius had said, she could only force a stiff smile and nod. The reporters' endless questions were giving her a headache.

Thankfully, Tony and Steve arrived at that moment and dispersed the reporters. They also set up a cordon around the area.

"Wanda, are you okay?" Steve, holding his shield, quickly walked up to Wanda and asked with a serious expression.

It was clear from the state of the scene that this must have been an incredibly difficult battle. The ground and everything around them had been affected. It was safe to say that the entire street was almost destroyed.

"I... I'm fine. I wasn't hurt." Wanda bit her lip and shook her head. She had been a spectator the entire time. Cassius alone had taken care of everything.

"You're getting stronger and stronger..." Steve looked at the destruction around them and couldn't help but show a slight surprise. Even an angry Hulk would be no match for this. Everything as far as the eye could see had been destroyed beyond recognition.

"I didn't kill that monster." Wanda took a deep breath and denied it. Although Cassius had told her to take the credit, she didn't want to lie to her friends. Besides, if it had been her, dealing with that monster would have been very difficult. The flames alone would have rendered her helpless.

"Then who was it?" Steve asked, confused. He couldn't believe there was another person with such immense power.

"I... A mysterious person." Wanda shook her head awkwardly. She didn't know how to explain Cassius's existence.

"It's fine." Tony, who had just finished dealing with the media, came over and gave Wanda a deep look. He opened his mouth as if to say something but then turned away, holding it in.

He knew Wanda wasn't lying. The identity of this mysterious person was what he wanted to know most. This person had helped Wanda learn to control her magic and had now saved the people.

The more he thought about it, the more he felt that this person's identity was becoming more and more elusive. He wanted to ask, but the words Cassius had said to him came to mind. It was better to wait for her to tell him herself.

"Scarlet Witch!!!"

"Scarlet Witch!!!"

"Scarlet Witch!!!"

"..."

Wanda turned around in confusion. A large group of people with signs were shouting her name outside the cordon.

"Those are your fans," Steve said with a smile, looking at Wanda's confused face. "Go give them an autograph and take some pictures."

"Okay." Wanda nodded and walked over with a smile to take pictures. However, she didn't notice the pair of strange blue eyes in the back of the crowd, staring at her. The eyes were filled with greedy desire.

"The Chaos Magic is really in her." The figure in the crowd was none other than Agatha. The woman's gaze fell on the dust that the Minotaur had turned into within the cordon. A smile she couldn't suppress spread across her face, and she trembled with excitement. "And there's even the Phoenix Force!"

What kind of opportunity has the Lord given me?! Chaos Magic and the Phoenix Force at the same time! Agatha's eyes turned cold.

She wanted both of them!
