Chapter 14 - Wanda: Stop Playing Around, Don't Touch Me There!

Wanda looked around at the constantly changing decor of the room, her eyes wide with disbelief.

"Is this what Chaos Magic does?"

She had never imagined that her power could create such a transformation. It was hard for her to believe that this was the power inside her.

"This is the effect of Chaos Magic twisting reality!"

"I simply used my understanding of Chaos Magic to unleash its true power!"

Cassius nodded slowly, his expression certain. He hadn't actively controlled anything; he was just guiding Wanda to get a feel for her power. After saying that, he let go of her hands.

Buzz!

As the scarlet light disappeared, everything in the room began to return to normal at a visible speed.

"How do you know so much?" Wanda's curiosity about the mysterious man grew. Cassius seemed to know her power better than she did!

"We've already had 'negative' contact; of course I know," Cassius said with a smirk, reaching out to pinch Wanda's cheek. Because Wanda was so thin, he had always assumed her cheeks would be bony. When he pinched them, he discovered that they were much softer than he had imagined. He couldn't help but rub them a few times. It felt incredibly soft and smooth.

"Stop playing around! Don't touch me there!" Wanda's cheeks were flushed red, as if they were steaming. Even though she knew Cassius was just teasing her, she couldn't help but think of what happened last night. Especially after their energies intertwined, she found that she was no longer so resistant to his touch. In fact, being in contact with him made her feel a sense of security. After what just happened, she felt they had a lot in common.

"Okay, hurry up and teach me how to control... Chaos Magic." Even though she knew the energy in her was magic, it was still difficult for her to accept.

"A diligent little witch is destined to become great!" Cassius stopped what he was doing and looked at Wanda with a gentle gaze. "You have to feel its existence and focus on your perception of it. It's not a simple form of energy; it's an ancient form of magic!"

To control this power, she needed more than just an understanding of how it worked; she needed to calm her mind and feel it. It was like a car. Pushing it with your bare hands would be exhausting, but sitting in it and pressing the gas would be much faster.

"Relearn?" Wanda's eyes lit up. Before, she had just used her powers as a simple form of energy or a mental ability. She never thought about re-experiencing her Chaos Magic this way.

If Cassius hadn't told her, she might never have made any progress. But now she knew that Chaos Magic could even affect reality. When she practiced, she would focus on that aspect.

"Yes, my cute little witch is much more perceptive than I thought," Cassius nodded in satisfaction. "Let's start. If you make a mistake, you'll be punished!"

"Huh? Punished?" Wanda was stunned for a moment, then she immediately understood, and the tips of her ears turned pink. Even without him saying anything more, she knew the punishment would be humiliating!

"Turn this into something else," Cassius took a cup from a nearby table and placed it on the desk. "Begin."

"Okay!" Wanda took a deep breath, her expression serious. She held out her hands, and a scarlet light burst forth.

Bang!

A scarlet light hit the cup, and with a crisp sound, the cup shattered into pieces.

"It shattered..." Wanda muttered, her lips pursed in disappointment. She hadn't expected to fail so soon.

"It's okay," Cassius pinched Wanda's cheek and took another cup. "Focus on feeling it carefully."

With Cassius's encouragement, Wanda's eyes sparkled. She tried again, focusing her Chaos Magic on the cup. But the next second, the cup shattered again. Wanda was visibly disappointed.

"Don't rush." Cassius sat beside Wanda and said gently, "Chaos Magic isn't purely constructive or destructive. It can create anything and destroy everything, turning it all into nothingness. It's about creation and destruction."

"Creation and destruction?" Wanda frowned, deep in thought. They sounded simple, but they were two complete opposites.

Cassius took Wanda's hand, and as their energies intertwined, he said, "But you are leaning toward destruction right now, with no constructive element. Chaos Magic is like a balance of light and darkness. What you need to do is find a balance between the two, so they can freely transform and merge."

As he spoke, the broken cup began to piece itself back together at a visible speed, then returned to its original state.

Wanda's mouth dropped open in shock. She knew Chaos Magic could do this, but she never imagined it could be so simple!

"So it's about finding a balance?" Wanda bent down and picked up the cup from the ground, finding no cracks whatsoever.

"You try?" Cassius took the cup from her and placed it on the stool in front of them.

"Okay!" Wanda nodded without hesitation. She closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them again. She held out her hands, carefully recalling how it felt when Cassius was using the Chaos Magic. A brilliant scarlet light enveloped the mug.

Buzz, buzz, buzz...

This time, with a hum, the mug didn't shatter. Instead, it twisted and changed, and the things around them began to twist as well. In that instant, the other half of the mug changed and turned into a square box.

"It worked!" When Wanda saw this, she excitedly hugged Cassius, cheering in delight. She couldn't believe she had succeeded. This meant she could take a step further in controlling her powers.

However, in her excitement, Wanda didn't notice that Cassius's expression had become a little strange. Cassius was truly feeling what "happiness" was like.

Then, Wanda suddenly realized something was wrong with Cassius. She looked down, and her body froze.

"My witch, I've helped you so much. How are you going to thank me?" Cassius asked with a mischievous grin, his hand on her shoulder as their eyes met.

Whoosh...

The sound of the wind blew softly.

That night, it rained, and the rain trickled down the window.

Inside, it was a different kind of storm.
