Chapter 13 - Aboli Returns to the Track

Lucas and Luna are truly impossible to please. Well, none of these lunatics are easy to deal with, but Lucas and Luna can really make people grind their teeth in frustration.

They want someone who loves them—a pure, innocent angel devoted to them with unwavering loyalty. If that person loves Lucas, Luna will circle them, tempting and seducing them, even disguising herself as Lucas to lure them into a trap. But if that person shows even the slightest interest in Luna, they'll immediately be branded unfaithful and lose their head.

Come on! Obviously, the poor soul doesn't even know whether they're talking to Lucas or Luna. The siblings are clearly just looking for trouble. They're bored, they want to kill, but since they can't betray their own romantic fantasy, they go and fabricate some flimsy scene of betrayal just to have an excuse for murder.

Having read the novel, Louis already knew a bit about the siblings' twisted personalities. That's why he chose this route—making them help him eliminate the monsters and break him out of the arena.

Now, all he had to do was make sure that the drug didn't spread through the whole mansion. After that, he'd finally escape these lunatics and reunite with Sylus—his good brother!

With that thought, Louis quickly calmed himself, running a hand through his hair as he walked outside.

Silver Mansion Security Center.

Bang!

A woman slammed her hand down on the table in anger. Her face was a little gaunt, and her high cheekbones gave her a sharp, severe look. "And up until now, you still haven't figured out who did it? The culprit's been gone for ages! Useless, the lot of you!"

A burly guard lowered his head nervously. "I truly apologize, Housekeeper. But the security cameras show signs of being hacked. The sequence was too advanced—we couldn't crack it."

In front of them, countless monitors displayed different feeds. Each screen clearly showed the imprisoned monsters, with two guards still stationed before the giant doors where two new experimental subjects had just been delivered.

But anyone who went underground now would see how horrific the scene was.

The floor was drenched in fresh blood. The two guards had long since died. The two experimental subjects transferred here from Research Zone 6 had vanished. And most shocking of all—the monsters they'd worked so hard to capture for their underground matches had all been slaughtered and slaughtered cleanly and efficiently, revealing just how powerful the intruder really was.

Smack!

The woman known as the Housekeeper raised her hand and slapped the guard across the face. The blow was so intense his head snapped to the side, fresh blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. Her voice was ice-cold. "In the end, it's because you're all utterly useless! The footage has been looping the same sequence repeatedly, and not one of you noticed anything wrong?!"

The guard kept his head bowed, not daring to speak.

Tap, tap, tap…

At that moment, unhurried footsteps echoed, drawing everyone's attention.

They all turned toward the door.

There, standing just outside, was a girl. Her long, snow-white hair cascaded down her back, her silver eyes cold and mechanical. Her features were terrific, but what captured everyone's attention even more was her aura—arrogant, imperious, like a sovereign looking down upon the world.

She wore a ruffled lace collar blouse, fastened in the center by a pale blue bow. The sleeves extended long, flaring wide at the elbows with frilled detailing, while pearl-inlaid buttons secured the wrists.

Her A-line skirt hugged the waist and fell to her calves, its hem lined with light layers of soft lace. On her feet were white Martin boots. She seemed almost to glow, the only break in the pure whiteness being the small bow at her collar—a faint ocean-blue.

Behind her stood the third young master of the William family of Zone 10, Mason, bowing respectfully. It was apparent he served beneath this girl.

Even in Zone 10, the William family held considerable status. For Mason himself to play the role of attendant, what identity did this girl possess? The housekeeper, after all, found her unfamiliar.

"Honored guests, this place is off-limits. Please enjoy the banquet in the mansion's main hall instead," the housekeeper said with a smile.

Mason replied bluntly, "From now on, this place belongs to my lord. The rest of you—get lost."

His words made the housekeeper frown. Most of Silver Mansion's guests were pampered sons and daughters of noble families. They came not only to indulge themselves, but also to socialize. None of them yet wielded actual power. As the housekeeper of Silver Mansion, she did not feel the need to bow to them.

Her expression chilled as she raised a hand. Two guards immediately stepped forward, intending to remove these uninvited guests forcibly.

Mason frowned, about to shout, when Aboli stepped forward. The two guards smirked, ready to jeer, but before they could say a word, Aboli raised her hand. No one even saw what she did. The next instant, both guards collapsed to the floor, their necks twisted unnaturally—dead beyond saving.

The housekeeper stared at Aboli, utterly stunned. "You… you…"

Just now, this girl hadn't even shown any signs of mechanization. Was she even human?!

Aboli tilted her head, casting the housekeeper a sidelong glance. Her voice was like ice: "Leave."

The housekeeper felt her entire body break out in cold sweat. She quickly fled with the remaining guard.

A temporary retreat—to gather reinforcements. They couldn't allow such an uncontrollable element to remain here.

"Mobilize men to hunt down the intruder. The two experimental subjects must be found," she ordered coldly.

The guards at her side bowed deeply in acknowledgment.

Still, the housekeeper herself did not believe the slaughterer of the monsters was those two subjects. She had inside information—no matter the methods used, those two experiments had never been activated. Yet the higher-ups clearly placed great importance on them.

Inside the room, Mason growled, "Who do they think they are, daring to obstruct you like that?!"

His dissatisfaction with the housekeeper's treatment of Aboli was apparent.

But Aboli ignored him, simply sitting down before the computer and beginning to crack the codes.

The surveillance monitors flickered wildly, alternating between black screens and static.

At last, the fake tranquility vanished. The screens filled with carnage—blood splattered across every feed, the corpses of monsters scattered, cages ripped apart.

Even knowing Silver Mansion's underground arena was full of grotesqueries, Mason couldn't help but frown at the sight.

Had those insane transplant experiments really twisted humanity to such an extent?

Both wary and in awe, Mason's eyes filled with admiration as he looked toward Aboli.

Those useless guards had failed, yet with just a few flicks of her fingers, Aboli had unraveled it.

Her forefinger tapped the desk in a slow rhythm. She leaned slightly to one side, chin resting on her hand, her gaze fathomless as she stared at the playback from the surveillance cameras—watching the entire process of Louis and the two experimental subjects making their escape.

She saw Louis gently embracing them, while those two shameless monkeys clung to him, tearing at his clothes, biting and licking him as if they wanted nothing more than to swallow him whole.

And Louis—he was trembling because of them, his face flushed. He even shed tears for them. Tears!

Mother, Mother… Louis!

Bang! Bang!

Suddenly, Aboli swept everything off the table, sending computers and cables crashing to the floor with a resounding clatter. She shot to her feet, both hands braced against the desk, glaring at the screen. Her eyes were bloodshot, veins bulging, and it was as if her pupils flickered with a mad, bloodthirsty crimson light.

Louis wasn't listening. What were those two monkeys to him? His children? Or the ones he loved? Did he really want to find her another father?

Aboli trembled with such fury that her whole body shook. Standing behind her, Mason lowered his head deeply, not daring to utter a single word.

Aboli bit down on her own thumb like a madwoman, the metallic stench of fresh blood spreading in her mouth—yet she seemed completely unaware of it.

Mother, Mother, don't worry. I'll butcher those two monkeys first. Then you'll pay the real price for this betrayal!

I can be my own father, Mother.
