Lady Seraphina was still standing there — the room had gone silent, but a divine energy still lingered in the air.
The commanders looked at one another.
Commander Volkran (serious, deep voice):
"Miss Vale…
We need a moment. Just the commanders — to speak privately."
"You've revealed something heavy… we need time to process it."
Lady Seraphina gently nodded — not out of weakness, but in dignity.
Lady Seraphina (soft, but steady):
"I understand.
When truth runs that deep… trust takes time."
She began walking out, but paused near the door and turned around. There was a mix of pain and challenge in her eyes.
"I don't expect you to accept me right away…
But if time and fate allow… I will return."
The doors opened — smooth, slow, and automatic — and she stepped out.
Outside the War Room
Inside Lady Seraphina's body, Ransoku was still present. He held his forehead, overwhelmed.
Ransoku (thinking):
"What's happening to me…?
These flashes… these vibrations… the memories…
Zargan… Master… and this Lady Seraphina… all crashing into my mind at once…"
He sat on a bench, breathing heavily. Flickers of images danced in front of his eyes — the Master's voice, Zargan's brutal training grounds… and a glimpse of Seraphina's childhood.
"This host… Seraphina… she's no ordinary vessel.
I thought it was just a body, but she's a legacy herself…"
"Her body's power is activating on its own… and this aura, this energy — it's what kept me standing in front of those monsters…"
He said to himself:
"For now, everything is okay. I just need to stay low… and wait until Lady Seraphina's memories begin to surface…"
Just then — a loud alarm shattered the silence.
Red sirens began flashing throughout the base.
AI System Alert:
Intrusion Alert: Vorsten Intercept Detected.
Proximity: Class-S Risk. Prepare for Contingency Alpha.
Ransoku (shocked):
"What…? This place was supposed to be undetectable… AI shields, astral cloaking, quantum jammers… everything was in place…"
This base was known as the most hidden and safest place on Earth — a fusion of advanced Artificial Intelligence and ancient magical protections. Radar-proof. Satellite-invisible.
So how did Zargan's army find it?
The Commanders' Private Discussion
Back inside the room — now sealed tight — a heavy, intense conversation was about to begin.
Lady Seraphina had just exited.
The steel doors closed with a deep metallic hum.
Only the four top commanders remained now.
No one spoke. Their eyes did all the talking — eyes that held years of pain, defeat… and now, a new fear.
Chief Grivon (looking down, nervous):
"I still don't trust her.
Even if she claims to hate Zargan now… she's still a product of the Vorsten Empire."
"If even a bit of that rage cools off…
Remember what she is — and what she's capable of becoming."
Marshal Ronan (pacing fast, almost yelling):
"Exactly! If her fury turns against us even once,
We won't just fight Zargan — we'll be facing another beast just like him.
A double threat."
"We've all seen what that legacy did to Zargan…"
"It turned him into a monster."
"And that girl — she's the last disciple of the same master. That same cursed legacy lives in her too."
Commander Volkran (calm, but clearly broken inside):
"We've been fighting Zargan for years…
And we've lost every time."
"Whole empires were wiped out.
Now it feels like even our own lives aren't safe anymore."
"Truth is — we can never defeat him alone."
Commander Helza (after a deep breath, slowly):
"But… maybe…
She's not our end… she might be our hope."
"The same legacy. The same knowledge. The same Sage's disciple.
Maybe she's a bridge — and on either side stand us… and Zargan."
Grivon (crossing his arms, still doubtful):
"Or maybe that bridge… leads us into the same madness and destruction."
Ronan (locking eyes with Helza):
"What do you think?
Can she really defeat a monster like Zargan?"
The room fell completely silent.
Everyone's faces were frozen.
Helza (serious, but with a glimmer of hope):
"No… she can't defeat him alone."
"But if she stands with us…
Then maybe, just maybe… our Resistance will gain a strength
that once felt like only a legend."
No one said another word after that.
Just then, another alert blared through the room.
AI System Alert:
Intrusion Alert: Vorsten Intercept Detected.
Proximity: Class-S Risk. Prepare for Contingency Alpha.
All four commanders turned their eyes to the screens…
Sirens and Steel
Inside the control hall — all tactical officers and warriors were fixated on the giant holographic map. Dozens of red markers were rapidly closing in.
Captain RJ and Security Chief FD were in the comms room, monitoring everything.
Captain RJ:
"They've got high-range interceptors, advanced multi-spectrum radars, phased plasma locators, and gravitational pulse-trackers…"
"All of it — just to find a hidden base like ours…"
FD (grimly):
"Zargan isn't coming with his full army…
But even this strike force is enough to wipe out this location."
Inside the hideout:
Panic was beginning to rise in the people's hearts.
But so was something else — loyalty, discipline… and survival instinct.
Outside in the base: Warriors were suiting up in their armor. Weapon vaults were opening. Young cadets, nurses, engineers — everyone had taken their positions.
Everyone knew — if Zargan's army reached here, this last hidden base was done for.
But still —
No one ran.
No one screamed.
Everyone stood ready — no matter what.
And in that same moment —
Ransoku stood up too.
"War is about to begin…
And now… even I must be ready."
If you felt the tension rise with every beat of the siren, don't miss what comes next.
