Chapter 295 - Chapter 294: An Unknown Island, an Unknown Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast!

On a starlit night, across the vast and boundless ocean, a solitary shuttle cleaved through the waves, advancing with unwavering determination. Inside the vessel, a young man and three young women sat together, admiring the ocean's unique starlit scenery through the transparent dome of the cabin.

This shuttle was the Moon God Shuttle, and the four aboard were none other than Zhu Ziyang and his companions.

At this point, they had already been at sea for three months. The Moon God Shuttle had long left the coastal waters of the Douluo Continent and entered the uncharted deep-sea regions never before reached by Douluo's people. The sea chart embedded in the Moon God Shuttle was now useless. They could only rely on the stars to discern the east and steer the shuttle steadily in that direction.

If it were ordinary people adrift at sea for three months with no destination in sight, they might have gone mad. But Zhu Ziyang and the others were not ordinary people—they were acknowledged geniuses. Such isolation and monotony didn't even register as hardship to them.

Moreover, they weren't alone—there were four of them, and counting their spirit souls, there were ten beings aboard in total.

At this very moment, Zhu Ziyang's Xue, Bing, Shuang, Luo, Jiang Nannan's Chacha, and Zhang Lexuan's Yuyu were all summoned, adding warmth and life to the otherwise lonely vessel.

If not for Electrolux objecting, Zhu Ziyang would have even called forth a few of the Light-aligned powerhouses from within the Holy Law Demiplane.

Speaking of Electrolux, ever since the creation of the Holy Law Demiplane, he'd spent much less time in Zhu Ziyang's spiritual sea. Most of his efforts now went into training the newly reborn inhabitants of the demiplane—souls reborn from death into life.

As Electrolux often said, these reborn races would form Zhu Ziyang's greatest foundation in his future conquest of the Divine Realm and exploration of the stars.

Though Zhu Ziyang felt slightly helpless at Electrolux' lofty ambitions, he didn't discourage him. Let the old man have something to occupy his time.

"Ziyang, there's an island ahead!" Bing Di, who was steering in the cockpit, called out.

"An island? What kind?" Zhu Ziyang lifted his head instantly from Zhang Lexuan's lap and asked.

"It's too far to see clearly," Bing Di replied, "but I can confirm it's a large island—larger than any we've seen so far."

"You mean bigger than Heavenstar Island?" Jiang Nannan paused mid-bite, dropping her fruit in surprise.

Heavenstar Island, the largest known island in the Douluo Sea, was about the size of the Dou Spirit Empire. Though nominally part of the Star Luo Empire, it hosted the only independent kingdom in Douluo—Heavenstar Kingdom.

Bing Di's claim that the island ahead surpassed Heavenstar Island in size immediately sparked the group's curiosity. An island larger than Heavenstar could be considered a small continent.

"Brother, let's go take a look!" Qian Lingyi said eagerly. At some point, she had started calling Zhu Ziyang "Brother" like Jiang Nannan did. Though Nannan wasn't happy about it, Ziyang certainly was.

"Let's go then!" Zhu Ziyang stood decisively and headed for the cockpit, followed by the three girls. Their spirit souls weren't interested and remained behind.

Once at the cockpit, with Bing Di's guidance, they saw the island in the distance. Though still far, its silhouette was visible, and they could tell it was massive. Without hesitation, Zhu Ziyang injected more soul power into the shuttle to speed up.

Soon, the full view of the island unfolded before them. It was enormous—just one side rivaled Heavenstar Island in length. The terrain was rugged, with at least four distinct mountain peaks visible even from afar.

When the shuttle drew within a mile, even more detail became visible. The island was densely forested—massive trees covered everything, even the cliffs and tidal flats near the ocean.

Not a trace of civilization was in sight, which made their hearts sink. It appeared to be an uninhabited island. Still, they decided to circle it first to check for potential docking spots. Even if it was uninhabited, they had no intention of ignoring it.

After circling the island, they confirmed that it was indeed massive—at least twice the size of Heavenstar Island. It could rival the combined territory of the Heaven Soul and Dou Spirit Empires.

"An island this large… could it really be uninhabited?" Jiang Nannan said with regret.

"We'll find out soon enough," Zhu Ziyang said with a smile. "If it is, we can record its location and send word back to Douluo for development."

"Exactly!" Zhang Lexuan nodded. "We've already seen so many uninhabited islands; one more won't hurt."

After docking, they stored away the Moon God Shuttle and oriented themselves. They decided to reach the island's highest peak to get a broader view.

The tallest mountain was a solitary peak rising over five thousand meters above sea level, standing alone in a dense forest without other mountains nearby. It wasn't far from where they had landed, so they set off immediately.

All four took to the skies: Zhu Ziyang unfurled his Ice Dragon King Wings (an external soul bone); Qian Lingyi activated her martial soul and summoned her twin angel wings; Zhang Lexuan, as a Title Douluo, flew freely without relying on her martial soul; and Jiang Nannan, now a Soul Sage, flew with practiced ease.

They flew about 100 meters above the ground, observing as they traveled. A large river snaked through the forest below, and although they saw unfamiliar soul beasts along its banks, none had reached the ten-thousand-year level.

The river's source was at the mountain peak, so they followed it. Most beings, after all, gravitate toward water.

After four or five hours of flight, they reached the mountain's base and landed to find a path upward.

Why not just fly? To conserve soul power. Given the island's dense soul beast population, the mountain at its center could easily be home to a hundred-thousand-year soul beast—just like in the Star Dou Forest.

And sure enough, when they reached around 1,000 meters, they were blocked by a tiger-type soul beast they didn't recognize.

"You four! Who dares trespass on the Holy Mountain without being summoned? To disturb the Holy Emperor's slumber is a crime punishable by death a thousand times over!" the tiger roared in human speech—delivering information that immediately caught their attention.

"Ziyang, what do we do?" Zhang Lexuan asked quietly.

"This tiger just broke through to the hundred-thousand-year level; its aura is unstable. If we restrain it quickly, we can probably extract a lot of information about the island," Zhu Ziyang said decisively.

"Okay!" Lexuan trusted him unconditionally and didn't hesitate.

"Take it down!" Zhu Ziyang called out, and immediately made the first move. His eyes flashed silver, unleashing a strange spiritual ripple from his body.

Zhang Lexuan followed instantly. All nine of her soul rings emerged—her final red ring glowed brilliantly, casting radiant gold and violet light across the tiger.

Ninth Soul Skill: Moon's Imperial Seal.

The Heavenly Thunder Roaring Tiger never imagined that in the core of the Sacred Forest, atop the Holy Mountain, someone would actually dare attack it. But regardless, it was swiftly subdued by the joint efforts of Zhu Ziyang and Zhang Lexuan.

The Moon's Imperial Seal sealed its soul power. At their current strengths, Lexuan could keep it sealed for three full minutes.

And three minutes was more than enough for an interrogation.
