Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: The Otherworldly Visitor — The Holy Undead Necromancer

"Grasping the sun and moon, plucking the stars from the sky—there is no one like me in this world. Who would've thought that a mere wisp of my soul would survive!"

"Who's there?!"

A sudden unfamiliar voice rang out in his ears, startling Zhu Ziyang enough that he nearly fell into deviation during cultivation. He instantly jumped off the bed, the Stillness Fate Ending Scythe appearing in his hand as he scanned the room cautiously.

"Child, don't be nervous."

The aged voice came again, sensing Zhu Ziyang's deep wariness, and attempted to soothe him.

"Who are you?" Zhu Ziyang could tell this voice held no malice, but he remained vigilant.

"I'm merely a remnant soul, nothing more. You needn't worry." The old voice replied, clearly trying to put Zhu Ziyang at ease.

"A remnant soul?"

Zhu Ziyang's heart tightened. For a remnant soul to retain such clarity and awareness—it meant the original being must've been terrifyingly powerful. He asked calmly, "Where are you?"

"Hehe... I'm on you."

"You're inside my spiritual sea!" Zhu Ziyang's expression shifted as the realization hit him. "When did that happen?"

"Don't be afraid, child. I truly mean no harm," the voice quickly reassured him. "I was drawn here by that little silver wolf's presence. I have no ill intentions, I swear."

Little silver wolf? The Silver Dragon Wolf!

Zhu Ziyang understood—the chaotic energy caused by the Silver Dragon Wolf's sacrificial ritual must've attracted this remnant soul.

As he calculated silently, his eyes emitted a faint golden glow. Through his vision, a faint golden flame appeared within five meters of him.

Only then did Zhu Ziyang fully relax.

Light's Mind Eye. This was a special innate talent granted by the Ultimate Light—allowing him to perceive the emotional intent of any soul. If someone harbored goodwill toward him, they would appear shrouded in a golden flame.

Clearly, this mysterious remnant soul had spoken the truth. It harbored no malice toward him.

"So, it's you?"

Zhu Ziyang's consciousness entered his spiritual sea. There, he immediately saw a gray pearl floating in the air, alongside a silver diamond-shaped crystal. The old voice was emanating from the gray pearl.

"Indeed, it is I."

The pearl trembled gently. The old soul, sensing Zhu Ziyang's trust, sounded pleased.

"Who are you?" Zhu Ziyang asked curiously. From the pearl, he could sense both light and death attributes—an unusual and intriguing combination.

"Who am I? Hah… it's been a long time since anyone asked me that." The aged voice carried nostalgia and pride. "My enemies called me a scourge. My followers called me a god. My creations called me Father. I am the Scourge of the Undead, the Holy Undead Necromancer—Electrolux!"

"Scourge of the Undead? Holy Undead Necromancer? Electrolux?"

Zhu Ziyang echoed the names in disbelief, quickly searching his memory for any reference—but came up empty. None of those names existed in any record he had read.

"Hehe, no need to search. I am not of this world," Electrolux said calmly, tinged with quiet sorrow.

"Another world?"

Zhu Ziyang was stunned. He gazed at the gray pearl with fresh awe. "You really come from another world? So you're… a god from that world?"

He remembered what Electrolux had called himself before, and his excitement surged. If this was truly a remnant of a divine being, then the knowledge and power it contained would be unimaginable.

"A god?" Electrolux let out a sigh of self-mockery. "Regrettably, I was a coward who dared not take the final step. I never truly became a god."

"I see." Zhu Ziyang felt a bit let down but had anticipated such an answer. "Even so, your strength must've been enormous. Comparable to our world's Title Douluo, at least. How did you end up as a mere remnant soul?"

"I don't even remember," Electrolux admitted, his voice lost and confused. "Honestly, if your power hadn't resonated with mine, granting me just enough energy to stay conscious, I would've long since vanished."

"Resonated power?"

Zhu Ziyang caught on immediately. "You also wield both light and death?"

"Indeed. Though unlike you, I obtained my death attribute through later cultivation. You, however, possess both from birth."

"Heh, of course! I'm an Ultimate Light user, after all!" Zhu Ziyang replied proudly.

"Ultimate Light? In my world, we called people like you 'Child of Light'. You truly are a blessed child." Electrolux's tone was both admiring and wistful. Then he asked, "Child, would you like to become my disciple?"

"Huh?"

Zhu Ziyang was caught off guard. He hadn't expected Electrolux to want to take him as a student and wasn't sure how to respond.

"You may think I'm joking," Electrolux said solemnly. "But even as a remnant soul, I once stood shoulder to shoulder with gods. Teaching someone like you—a mere third-rank magic user—is more than within my ability."

"Third-rank magic user? That's your world's system of cultivation?" Zhu Ziyang asked curiously.

"Correct."

Electrolux explained, "Though I don't know the specifics of your world's system, elemental control is universal. I can teach you Light Magic, Undead Magic, and how to fuse the power of light and death."

"You can really teach me how to fuse light and death?"

Zhu Ziyang's eyes lit up. He had been struggling with the Stillness Fate Ending Scythe's dual attributes—this was exactly what he needed.

"Of course. I earned the title of Holy Undead Necromancer for a reason. My summoned undead were completely immune to light-based attacks." Electrolux's pride was evident in his tone.

"Undead Magic? What's that?" Zhu Ziyang asked, intrigued.

"You'll find out once you become my disciple," Electrolux said slyly. "So? Will you take me as your teacher?"

Zhu Ziyang weighed the pros and cons.

After a moment of thought, he made his decision and declared loudly, "Teacher!"

"Good! Good! Good!"

Electrolux was thrilled. The gray pearl vibrated with joy as he repeated the word thrice. "Good child. You're called Zhu Ziyang, yes? Then I shall call you Ziyang. You will become my most outstanding disciple!"

"Do you… have any other disciples?" Zhu Ziyang asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Probably… I think…" Electrolux sounded unsure.

"Teacher, when will you teach me how to fuse light and death?" Zhu Ziyang asked eagerly.

"Haha, so impatient!"

Electrolux chuckled. "I would love to start right away, but I must rest and stabilize my soul. Otherwise, I might dissipate entirely."

"I understand. Then please rest first, Teacher. I can wait," Zhu Ziyang said sincerely.

"Good child!" Electrolux laughed heartily. "Give me no more than a year. When I awaken, I will teach you Light Magic and Undead Magic. In the meantime, you can practice releasing light in one hand and death in the other."

"Yes, Teacher."

"Good! Good! Good!" Electrolux repeated joyfully once more, and his voice gradually faded as the gray pearl dimmed.
