Genshu Hao had been unable to leave his teachers side, or more like she made it so that he would be unable to go anywhere as she had taken him from his resting place and right into her own room. He was surprised by the action but he didn't mind it as he had been in her room in the past.
After she had brought him there she placed him on the chair in the hall of the room before she ordered him to stay put and went out, putting a seal on him before she walked out as he watched her and wondered what she would do after bringing him here.
Yanyue Mei was furious as she left her room, she immediately barked orders to the guards stationed there to be very vigilant and guard her room and especially Genshu Hao. The guards shook in place due to her glare as they nodded immediately.
She also had four servants go inside of her room, they were meant to protect and serve Genshu Hao in there and she made it especially clear to the four women that they have to ensure that he was fine and they all nodded and went to do their given job.
She walked through the hallway briskly with force and purpose, anger bubbling inside of her as she kept a tight lid on it as she made her way towards where she had called the disciples to assemble.
After she had learned of what had been done to Genshu Hao, she had ordered the servants to gather the disciples of the sect together, with permission from her grandfather of course, before she took her disciple to her room to grant him more protection and comfort.
'Big sister.' Genshu Hao's face as he saw that echoed in her mind as she grit her teeth.
She remembered how he had patted his chest and told them about how he had lost his heart due to Zhun He, or whatever the true name of the bastard was and she felt horrified that she was so okay being around and teaching such a guy, the same one who had morally wounded her disciple Genshu Hao and left him for dead.
She remembered how Genshu Hao had told her about his gut feeling that something wasn't right about Zhun He and she cursed under her breath as she remembered the conversation.
'Jealous... I thought he was jealous... And yet what he suspected was true, that bastard attacked and wounded him and he would've died were it not for the pills.' Yanyue Mei thought to herself as she felt fear grip her heart as she thought about it.
The thought of finding her disciple in front of her, dead covered in blood and with a hole in his chest and his heart missing. To see the very disciple she had taken care off for all these years dead like that, she didn't want to imagine it, she was terrified of that thought.
She had never thought that Genshu Hao would be mortally wounded, as he was always surrounded by the people of the sect and she and the rest were also here as well. Guo Shen is also his friend which gave him more protection and his connection with her and his skills in negotiations have garnered him protection from others as well, due to that she had never once thought that he would be mortally wounded.
But now that possibility had happened and it would've been true were it not for Genshu Hao's resourcefulness and she couldn't help but feel like she had failed him. He had tried warn her about Zhun He, only for her to brush his worries off and it resulted in him almost dying due to her not believing him.
She shook her head as she reached the place as she looked down at the disciples of the sect with a hard gaze as they all stood there at attention and she saw Guo Shen at the forefront with a worried look.
'At least he has a friend like him.' Yanyue Mei thought to herself as she felt a bit relieved before she hardened her expression more.
"As you all know, my disciple Genshu Hao had been wounded and his attacker was speculated to be Zhun He who has vanished from our lands." Yanyue Mei said in a hard and indifferent tone as she addressed the crowd.
The disciples nodded to her words as she saw the contemplative expressions on their faces.
"And so I am here to tell you all that it was indeed Zhun He who had attacked Genshu Hao and left him wounded to such a degree. It would appear that he had come to our sect to gain the knowledge from our scrolls and after getting it he had left the clan." Yanyue Mei said to the disciples seriously.
Many girls made scandalized gasps when they heard that as many men looked at each other in surprise. But the most surprised was Zhun He as she couldn't believe what she had just heard from the mouth of their princess.
To the girls Zhun He was like a prince, having great cultivation talent, martial arts and even great physical appearance, he was the dream man for many of them. But to hear that he had actually attacked and wounded Genshu Hao was shocking for them.
"I knew it! I knew he was trouble! Genshu Hao was right all along." Guo Shen muttered with anger and indignation at the thought of the traitor while those around him heard him.
"We do not know where he might be, but Zhun He is an enemy of the Sect. If you see him, do not engage unless you are significantly stronger than him, otherwise just inform the sect of his whereabouts, understand!" Yanyue Mei said for all to hear.
"Yes lady Yanyue!" All the disciples shouted in unison as she nodded and then turned around and quickly made her way towards her room.
She entered the room and found Genshu Hao drinking some tea as he is dressed in fine silk robes while the servants are keeping a watch over him.
"Leave." Yanyue Mei said to the servants as they obeyed and left the room after giving a bow.
She looked at Genshu Hao as he had finished his tea as he is looking at her as she walked to his side and sat on the chair beside him with a contemplative look on her face.
"Lady Yanyue, I am fine. The pills have healed me." Genshu Hao said to her as she frowned.
"You don't have to call me that you know. Especially when it's just the two of us." Yanyue Mei said to her disciple as she remembered how he had called her big sister.
She remembered when he would call her that in the past before he grew up and he stopped doing so, and started calling her by lady like the rest, as a sign of respect for her position and she had grown used to it.
But now she wanted him to call her his big sister again like in the past, especially after what had happened and her own failings. She is his master, and more than that she was the one who had raised him. His protection is her duty, something that she had taken upon herself to do, and yet he would've died and she wouldn't have known, all because she had decided to ignore his warnings as she wanted to support Zhun He and make him a better cultivator to boost herself.
"Um, it has been a long time so it's kind of hard. What can I call you?" Genshu Hao asked feeling quite nervous.
Yanyue Mei felt a tremor pass through her as she heard that, hearing that he didn't know what to call her, she didn't know if he was pulling her leg or not.
"You can call me big sister like in the past you know." Yanyue Mei said to him as she looked at him.
"Sorry, it's just been so long that it's hard. I have always called you lady for a long time now. I mean, I have to show my respect." Genshu Hao said to her as he frowned.
"Well I want you to call me big sister." Yanyue Mei said to him as he nodded.
"Okay, if that's what you want, big sister." Genshu Hao said with a small fragile smile.
She felt a warmth in her chest as she heard that like he had done before as she looked at him.
"I want you to stay in my room from now on." Yanyue Mei said to him as he was surprised.
"B-But..." Genshu Hao said in surprise.
"No. You almost died. I am not about to let you go out of my room until I'm sure that you will be safe." Yanyue Mei said to him seriously.
"And what am I supposed to do while I'm here?" Genshu Hao asked her in turn as he knew he couldn't defy his master.
"Cultivate. I'll bring the scrolls that you weren't able to get before, and try to find ways to help you advance." Yanyue Mei said which caused him to look at her in surprise.
"Really?" Genshu Hao asked in shock.
She felt a tightness in her throat as she heard the question and understood that he didn't think that she would actually help him in his cultivation like this, considering how she had rejected his requests before. The fact that he didn't seem to believe that she would actually help in his cultivation and his disbelief at the fact that she was not blocking him like before was discouraging for her.
'I will make it up to you Genshu Hao. I should've treated you like I had done with Zhun He.' Yanyue Mei thought to herself as she looked at him.
