Chapter 19: Stubborn Plants.
" Master, permit me if I'm wrong but I think I have a better idea as to how you can take care of these things without wasting your magic power so much." Ming Yao found the courage to speak up. Since she couldn't help him in combat, she still wanted to be of help anyway she could.
Su Ping raised a brow, not expecting to say such things. " And what plan do you have in mind?"
" I noticed to were able to copy the Frog demons abilities back in the swamp and I'm guessing your claw attacks were also done through the act of mimicry."
" You are correct." Su Ping nodded, he was surprised she could piece together all that from just watching him fight once. He couldn't help but see this minion of his in new light.
" I'm not sure if it'll work, but us it possible to mix both abilities into one?" She said while staring at him adamantly as if waiting for his response.
' Mixing the both of them?' Su Ping felt perplexed, he had never tried such before. ' I'm not sure I've ever tried that before.' he pondered before closing his eyes.
He envisioned the Poison blasts corrosive properties as well as the blade rains energy blade structure. A purple black glow leaked through his eyelids as he slowly opened his eyes.
He raised his right hand, this time the claws on his right glowed a deep purple black but not only that but, Su Ping could smell a potent stench of decay emanating from them.
He slashed out his claws, 5 crescent energy blades flew out, they were more faster than before but not only that, the 5 energy blades sliced through not one, not two, not three, not four, but 10 Abyssal blood tree sprouts before creating a deep blade mark on the bark of an Abyssal blood tree. The blade marks released a corrosive stench as faint wisps of smoke permeated from the wound.
As for the decapitated Abyssal blood tree sprouts in the wake of his attack, they were all dismembered on the soil, their bodies releasing corrosive wisps of smoke. Not only that but to Su Pings satisfaction, only the Abyssal blood tree sprouts that weren't severed from the base of the stump near the roots, were alive, the others quickly went mad, swinging their vines without care, in the process, damaging the other sprouts and trees around them before being corroded to death.
" It worked!" Ning An and Yang Lan said with disbelief. They had thought Ming Yao's idea could work but they didn't expect it to actually do.
" Master! Master! It worked, I was right, it actually work–" Ming Yao was filled with excitement and joy, her tail swaying rapidly from left to right but her body stiffened when Su Pings large clawed hand gently pressed against her furry head, rubbing it carefully, giving her a head path.
" Master?" Ming Yao stared at Su Ping in confusion. She was stunned when she saw a rare smile on her draconic masters face.
" You did good Ming Yao." Su Ping's words of affirmation caused the edges of her lips to curl upwards into a cute, fang filled smile. It would've looked terrifying to normal people but to Su Ping who had been in the Abyss for more than a day, it kinda looked cute.
"Ming Yao felt a pricking feeling behind her only to turn and see Ning An and Yang Lan, their expressions filled with envy. They had been apprehensive towards the task of building an "army" for the master, but now seeing this little warm exchange between Su Ping and Ming Yao, the both of them retreated not trying their best to help sooner.
Ming Yao smirked towards her two counterparts, puffing out her fluffy chest with pride.
At the same time, the dying actions of the Abyssal blood tree sprouts had brought about a chain reaction. Su Ping watched as the Abyssal blood tree's and Abyssal blood tree sprouts all began attacking each other.
He didn't expect things to turn out this way but at this rate, the remaining ones would be too weakened to gang up on him and he could then get rid of them entirely. He might lose some rare potential militia units but at least he would still gain the excavated territory. Judging by the sheer size of it, he might even be able to complete one part of the systems level up mission with it.
Just as Su Ping thought things couldn't turn out differently, he suddenly felt an intimidating presence from deep within the Abyssal blood tree grove.

Su Ping was dumbfounded. He couldn't understand what kind of unfortunate situation this was. The meer pressure the creature was emanating made him feel as if his surroundings were diffused with smoke, making him suffocate a little.
His eyes constricted when he turned towards his subordinates, all ten imp demons had long since dropped on the floor unconscious, their mouths foaming.
Ning An and Yang Lan were forced to prostrate on the floor due to the pressure alone, while Ming Yao was the only one struggling the remain standing.
" Master...help us." The three fox demons cried out while trying to endure the overwhelming pressure. The pressure was being emitted from deep within the Abyssal blood tree grove and yet it was this formidable.
Su Ping's expression darkened seeing his subordinates in such a miserable state, his blood unconsciously began to boil as memories of his own pitiful times emerged in his mind, from being forced to endure countless transgressions just to feed his aging parents, struggling to survive amongst minions and almost dying in just a day after being reincarnated.

A soul shaking Dragons roar was released from within him, The roar itself was supposed to be nothing but sound, but strangely, it pushed back the overwhelming aura, forcing it several tens of meters away from him and his subordinates.
" Master..." The three fox demons stared at their master in awe, his incredible visage as he protected them slowly being etched within their minds, their h
earts beating more rapidly than normal as an unknown warmth enshrouded them.
