Chapter 12: Fox turned Food delivery service.
[I'm afraid that information is inaccessible, only the Administrators have unrestricted access]
' Administrators?' Su Ping didn't know what they were but he was sure they had to be the ones in charge of this crazy game.'
[Now that your questions have been answered.]
[Please input the name of your faction]
The system suddenly asked out of the blue.
' A name?' Su Ping was perplexed, he'd never actually given that much thought.
' If I use something simple it'll backfire in the long run and If I use something too grand I'll come off as conceited...or worse, I might attract the irritation of other Kings without even meeting.'
[Input your faction name.]
The system seemed to be growing impatient. Su Ping stiffened, he already knew what happened last time it was impatient.
The system seemed to be growing impatient. Su Ping stiffened, he already knew what happened last time it was impatient.
' Dark Dragon Dynasty! I'll go with Dark Dragon Dynasty!' Su Ping said in a rush, afraid he'd be a second late.
[Dark Dragon Dynasty has been inputted into the King's Game Database]
The system said, the next moment the panel vanished. The Instant it left, Su Ping sighed with relief.
The White Fox Demon approached him an began nuzzling against his scales but, Su Ping ignored her, his focus drawn to the demonic rabbit, his stomach grumbling with a persistence that drowned out his caution. Using that much mana had caused him to feel a bit peckish.
He approached the carcass and tore into it, the meat tender and warm, its flavor rich and satisfying as he devoured it quickly, the meal silencing the hunger that had just risen.
' Next things first, I suppose I should give here a name.' Su Ping glanced at the white fox demon.
" From this moment on, I'll call you, Bai Ming Yao." Su Ping said.
' Hopefully she can understand me right?'
Su Ping's worries were short lived because Bai Ming Yao began swaying her tail rapidly from left to right, her eyes filled with glee.
Him bestowing her with a name meant he was now fond of her and would definitely be willing to protect her which saved her from worrying about being discarded easily.
' I still don't feel assured going out with this body of mine.' Su Ping glanced at his infant dark drake form. Though he was still a dragon, he felt like he needed a more fearsome form before venturing out again.
' The system said I could evolve by consumption. Why not I have her get me prey instead of looking for them myself. That way I can stay safe while making sure my territory doesn't get taken over by another.'
Su Ping felt the idea was solid so he ordered her to venture out and gather more food, his hunger for growth was something that gnawed at his core right now, urging him toward growth and survival in the merciless Abyss.
The stronger he got, the easier it would be for him to expand his faction in the cruel Abyss.
Bai Ming Yao's red irises met his, her gaze sharp yet obedient, and with a subtle nod, she slipped out of the cave, her lithe form vanishing into the jagged landscape beyond, her tail swaying with a quiet determination to prove herself unlike her earlier wariness.
Alone once more, Su Ping's mind turned inward, his thoughts a steady current beneath the primal instincts of his drake form.
"Now that she's gone off to work, I shouldn't stand idly by either."
He mused. " Besides reaching adolescence, I should make sure my combat skills are adequate enough."
He quickly sought to activate his innate Talent.
[Innate Talent: Dark Dragon Eyes]
Closing his eyes, he summoned the memory of the purple peacock's blade rain skill, its torrent of glowing feathers vivid in his mind, and began to mimick it, channeling energy into his claws but unlike before, he pushed his focus further by trying to build up the energy in his claws instead of releasing it instantly.
The cave's cool air seemed to hum as his mana drained rapidly, the purple-black glow of his claws deepening, pulsing with an intensity that felt like a storm trapped within his small frame.
The moment his mana hit zero, a surge of power coursed through his claws, vibrating with a tremendous force that seemed to strain against its confinement, as if eager to unleash chaos.
"This could be dangerous." Su Ping thought, his heart pounding with a mix of awe and caution.
"It's too dangerous to release this inside." With a swift bound, he rushed out of the cave, his claws scraping against the stone as he emerged into the open, where the blood-red sky loomed overhead, casting long shadows across the twisted terrain.
Raising his glowing claws, he slashed outward, unleashing arcs of dark purple energy that shot through the air with a low whistling sound, their edges sharp as blades.
The slashes sliced through several protruding rocks with effortless precision, like knife through butter.
Unfortunately, his lack of practice caused them to be less clean, sending shards flying in a spray of dust, and continued their arc, carving rough claw marks into an Abyssal Blood Tree Sprout in the distance before dissipating as the tree sprout healed itself, their power spent.
' INCREDIBLE!!!!'
Su Ping gasped, his glowing eyes wide with shock at the raw destruction he'd caused, Never did he expect this much power to be locked within his infant drake form.
Heart racing, he retreated to the cave, his tail flicking nervously as he glanced at the horizon, wary of the commotion attracting the Abyss's predatory denizens.
Moments later, Bai Ming Yao returned, her white fur slightly matted with sweat, a freshly killed demonic rabbit dangling from her maw, its blood dripping onto the cave floor with a soft patter.
Su Ping tore into the meal without hesitation, the meat's rich, coppery flavor satisfying his hunger as he devoured it in moments, then fixed his gaze on Bai Ming Yao, ordering her to fetch more.
