Chapter 77 - Chapter 77 – Go Easy This Time, Don’t Rip Anyone Apart Again

The Supreme Kai immediately shifted the topic, pretending to control that cluster of angelic power with his hands, studying it carefully.

In truth, the Supreme Kai had no idea—it was Merus secretly keeping the angelic power under control all along.

Without Merus's influence, and if Ken himself didn't rein it in, that energy would have gone wild long ago.

"This… this is indeed quite a strange energy… as for the problem, well… it's just not easy to control." The Supreme Kai spoke thoughtfully, offering an explanation.

"My energy feels rather impure. Do you have any way to purify it?" Ken asked casually.

"Well… that's a tricky question…" The Supreme Kai was stumped, staring blankly at the odd energy.

"It's fine, we'll figure it out later." Ken decided to give the Supreme Kai some face.

After all, Ken knew very well that the Supreme Kai could never possibly understand angelic power.

The Supreme Kai of Universe 7 didn't even recognize the God of Destruction—let alone an Angel.

Asking him was the same as not asking.

But Merus… why did you even bother?

Ken gave a simple thanks, then crooked his finger.

That cluster of angelic power immediately returned to him.

"See, Ken? Even the greatest god of this universe can't solve your problem…" Merus seized the chance to lecture. "So you need to train harder, think about how to purify angelic power yourself. I'm sure you'll find a way! I believe in you, Ken! Keep it up!"

Ken stared at Merus silently.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Merus suddenly felt guilty.

"Merus, you didn't go in such a roundabout way just to tell me this, did you?" Ken asked.

Merus: "…"

"…Was it that obvious?" Merus gave a sheepish laugh.

"You're basically saying I should work hard, train, and purify angelic power myself, right?" Ken pressed.

"The problem is… even my brother Whis doesn't know how to purify it…" Merus admitted with a troubled look.

"Merus, think carefully. I know you'll come up with something." Ken patted his arm.

Merus suddenly realized something was off.

This was your problem.

Why are you asking me to find a solution for you?

"When does Supreme Kai plan to deal with Frieza?" Merus quickly changed the subject.

"I've got nothing going on right now—I'll go handle it for you." The Supreme Kai thought for a moment, then nodded in agreement.

"Thank you very much, Supreme Kai." Merus bowed immediately.

"I'll go meet Frieza and explain things to him." The Supreme Kai smiled.

Merus hesitated.

"Don't worry. I promised you—I won't kill him!" the Supreme Kai added. "But you'll need to tell me where this God of Destruction is. Since he's behind Frieza, I should at least meet him."

Merus thought about it and realized sending the Supreme Kai to Beerus wasn't a bad idea.

It would be a good chance for Whis to educate him about the God of Destruction.

So Merus agreed without hesitation.

"Then it's settled." The Supreme Kai was pleased, his sharp eyes piercing through the divine realm, gazing into the distant reaches of space.

In less than ten seconds—

"There! I've found Frieza. I'll head over right away." The Supreme Kai smiled faintly.

"Supreme Kai, let me accompany you!" Kibito asked respectfully.

"No need." The Supreme Kai shook his head. "I'll be back soon."

"Kaikai!"

Chanting, his body flared with divine light—

Whoosh!

In an instant, the Supreme Kai vanished.

Broly's eyes went wide in shock, immediately searching for his presence.

But how could Broly possibly track him down?

"He disappeared?" Broly turned to Ken.

"Hmph, never seen it before, huh? That's the Kai Kai. Only the Supreme Kai can use such a divine skill." Kibito puffed up proudly. "Of course, as his disciple, I can use it too—though not as well as the Supreme Kai."

"Kai Kai?" Broly grew even more curious.

"In simple terms, it lets you instantly travel from here to Planet Vegeta." Kibito explained with pride.

"Teach me!" Broly's eyes lit up.

"Forget it. Mortals can't possibly learn this. It's a divine technique." Kibito snorted, his red face full of disdain.

Broly fell silent.

"Don't worry, Broly. I'll take you to a place where you can learn Instant Transmission later." Ken reassured him.

Broly's eyes immediately sparkled, his expression full of anticipation.

"You mean the Yardrat version of Instant Transmission, right?" Kibito chuckled. "That can't even compare to the Kai Kai!"

"Say another word, and I'll hit you." Broly cracked his knuckles, glaring at him.

"Oh? Did I hear that right? You said you'd hit me?" Kibito laughed. "Do you even know who you're talking to? I may not be as strong as Supreme Kai, but I'm still his disciple—one of the greatest gods of this universe! I know you Saiyans are a warrior race, but do you really think you can challenge me?"

Broly immediately looked to Ken with puppy-dog eyes.

"Go easy on him. This time, don't rip anyone apart." Ken gave him a nod and a warning.

A grin spread across Broly's face as he rushed toward Kibito.

In the vast, endless cosmos.

Frieza's spaceship drifted slowly through space.

Inside the ship—

Frieza sat in his hover pod, gazing out the window at the stars.

His attendant, Berryblue, stood stiffly at his side.

"Berryblue, it's been days without any news of Ize, hasn't it?" Frieza asked.

"Eh? Yes! Lord Ize has indeed been missing for several days now." Berryblue nodded gravely.

"I have an uneasy feeling… Could Ize have met with disaster?" Frieza frowned, his tail swaying anxiously.

"That can't be, Lord Frieza… The last place Lord Ize went was the Galactic Patrol. With their strength, there's no way they could stand against him!" Berryblue shook her head firmly.

Whoosh!

Just then, the space around them rippled.

Pop!

The Supreme Kai appeared, having used Kai Kai to arrive near Frieza.
