Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 – Boyfriend?

[Bonus Chapter]

"I'm not married," Ken said, shaking his head.

"Then… is he your secret love child?" Bulma stared at him in shock, like she was looking at a weirdo.

Ken responded by pinching her cheek in annoyance.

"Don't pinch me, it makes me drool," Bulma pouted.

Ken slowly let go of her cheek.

Her face was just too soft—so tender it felt like it would drip water. Extremely satisfying to squish.

"Hehe, I was just messing with you. I may only be five, but even I know you can't have a kid at your age," Bulma grinned mischievously, flashing a row of pearly whites. Then she tilted her head. "But why does he keep calling you 'Dad'?"

"He calls everyone that. Who knows why," Ken shrugged.

Bulma: "…"

She stepped up to Broly and tilted her head, studying him.

"Papa…" Broly pointed at the moon again.

"Try 'Mama,'" Bulma said, wiping sweat from her forehead.

"Uhh…" Broly scratched his head, looking confused. He mumbled, "M-Mama…?"

The next morning.

Bulma barged into Ken's room and dragged him out of bed.

To be honest, Ken had never slept so soundly before.

Maybe it was because he was back on Earth—combined with his past life's memories of living here—he felt more adapted to the environment.

Even though Earth in the Dragon Ball world was a bit different from the one in his past life, it had better air quality at least.

After all, this Earth had excellent ecological preservation.

Cars here used advanced energy tech, which drastically reduced carbon emissions.

You could say that the oxygen level on Earth right now was quite high.

Ken had just arrived, but it already felt like living in an oxygen spa.

Even though he no longer needed to breathe to survive, a bit of fresh air every now and then still felt great.

"Are all aliens this lazy? Get up! Today's my kindergarten graduation ceremony. It's the biggest day of my life!" Bulma tugged at him.

Ken: "…"

"It's just kindergarten graduation," he muttered.

"You promised you'd come with me," Bulma pouted, clearly worried he'd back out.

"Fine, let's go." Ken nodded without argument.

Before leaving, Ken gave Broly a quick reminder not to wander off or cause any trouble.

Broly nodded, seemingly understanding.

Ken wasn't too worried about him. As long as no one provoked him, Broly was pretty mild-mannered.

When he wasn't going berserk, he was actually kind of like that quiet, good-natured kid next door.

Plus, Broly still had tons of Earth things he was curious about.

Even watching ants move house could keep him occupied for hours.

Bulma usually went to school by herself.

Dr. Brief and Panchy had always encouraged her independence.

Besides, the kindergarten was only about 200 meters from their house.

Bulma cheerfully slung on her backpack and grabbed Ken's hand, leading him toward school.

"Bulma!"

As they reached the school gate, a girl called her name.

Ken turned to see another young girl with blue hair.

"Emily!" Bulma smiled and waved back, then introduced her to Ken. "She's my best friend, Emily."

"Who's he, Bulma?" Emily asked as she ran up, her eyes immediately locking onto Ken's tail. "Whoa! This tail looks so fun!"

Just as she reached out to grab it—

Smack!

Bulma swiftly blocked her hand with an angry glare. "Emily! Don't touch it! That's my tail!"

"Hmph, you're so stingy. Can't I just play with it a little?" Emily grumbled, clearly disappointed.

"Nope," Bulma declared, treating Ken's tail like her personal property now.

Ken was speechless.

Hello? It's MY tail.

"Just one touch," Emily begged.

"Not even once." Bulma shook her head firmly.

"You're a meanie. I'm not playing with you anymore!" Emily stomped off.

"I'm not playing with you either!" Bulma huffed.

Ken silently wiped sweat from his forehead.

Talk about a plastic friendship… That fell apart fast.

"Ken, listen. You're not allowed to play with Emily," Bulma said sternly.

"Sure, whatever," Ken nodded indifferently.

Like I wanted to play with either of you little brats in the first place. If I didn't have to live here for a while, do you think I'd actually come to a kindergarten graduation?

…Well, to be fair, Dr. Brief did mention the teacher was quite the looker…

To avoid further tail drama, Ken coiled it around his waist like a belt.

Then he followed Bulma into the classroom.

And the moment he stepped inside, he spotted the teacher.

She really was a beauty. Not quite on future Bulma's level, but still easily a 9/10—and her figure was absolutely stunning.

Especially those long legs… snow-white and mesmerizing.

The teacher blinked in surprise when she saw Ken, her big, beautiful eyes turning to Bulma.

"Teacher, this is my boyfriend. He's here for my graduation," Bulma introduced proudly.

Ken: "…"

Seriously? That's how you introduce someone? You're five! How do you even know what a boyfriend is?!

The teacher was visibly stunned. Then she gave a bitter smile and nodded, saying nothing more.

Inside, though, she felt a bit deflated.

Even kindergarteners have boyfriends now…

And I'm still single…

Bulma pulled Ken to sit beside her.

"Bulma, is he really your boyfriend?" Emily asked from the next seat.

"I thought you said you weren't playing with me anymore," Bulma replied smugly.

"I was wrong, okay? Please forgive me, Bulma." Emily clung to her hand, apologizing.

"Fine, I forgive you," Bulma said cheerfully.

"Can I borrow your boyfriend for two days? Even my cousin, who's a year younger than me, has a boyfriend. I'm not letting her beat me!" Emily pouted.

"You can borrow him, but you're not allowed to touch his tail," Bulma said seriously after a moment of thought.

Ken: "…"

These two fake-friends made up fast…
