Chapter 26 - Violation of Rules

Mr. Wolfe dropped the plastic bag that was in his hands, and the fresh fruits rolled on the ground. It seemed he came to the hospital to leave the fruits for Mira and pick me up.

The burning flames in his eyes were so clear that they made me want to run away. He was raging like a bull, which left me trembling. It truly felt like I was cheating on him when in fact there was nothing real going on between us.

"It's…"

He didn't let me speak but threw me over his shoulder, which startled me. Taking his long strides, he reached his car in a few seconds while I still froze in fear and confusion.

Pushing me into the backseat, he ordered the driver to start the engine.

"No! Mr. Wolfe, please."

I looked at him, begging. "I have to inform Mira, or else she'll be worried."

He clenched his jaw and tapped his fingers on his leg as if he was controlling his emotions from bursting out. The fact that he was going to lose his temper any moment made me frightened to the core.

I wanted to talk to him, but I didn't dare to say another word. I only prayed for him to calm down while I texted the caretaker, "Some urgency came up. Please tell Mira that I'll visit her again."

I looked at Mr. Wolfe, who was still fuming. His already dark pupils darkened more, and his face turned red as if his anger was not able to stay within.

We reached his villa, and only to worsen the situation, my phone rang. He snatched it from my hands, and as soon as he saw Matthew's name on it, he lost his temper.

Throwing the phone to the floor, he shouted, "What the fuck is happening?"

I shook my head negatively. "Nothing."

He held my face fiercely, almost hurting my jaw. His angry eyes bore into mine while he shouted, "Nothing? You said you were going to meet your sister, but you went to meet him behind my back."

I shook my head again, and tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Don't fucking think your bloody tears are going to calm me down." He yelled in my face.

I managed to speak, "I went to see Mira…"

He cut me off. "You couldn't even spend days without meeting other men." He scoffed. "What did I even expect from a woman who worked at nightclubs?"

The anger and disappointment were clear on his face, but it was the last thing I cared about. His words hurt me so much and made me realize how low he was thinking about me. I could see the disgust in his eyes.

I kept quiet for a long time, but this time, I didn't want to stay silent. I freed myself from his grip, shouting, "Why should you even expect anything from me? I signed the contract because I needed money. It doesn't mean you have the right to treat me as a slave and capture my freedom."

The anger in his eyes didn't fade even a little. It only intensified.

I continued, "Yes, I went to meet him. According to the contract, I shouldn't entertain other men, but there's no clause like I shouldn't meet or talk to any man other than you."

A sensible part of me yelled at me to shut my mouth, but my anger won. It made me continue shouting despite the scary look he had on his face.

"Mr. Wolfe! I am doing everything that's written on the contract. I moved here and served you with my body whenever you needed it. But my personal matters are mine."

My shouts echoed through the whole room, and I looked at him with my anger-filled eyes. We both stayed silent for a moment, and only when he started to speak did I realize what I had done.

"You are talking about the contract, huh?" He scoffed.

He shut his eyes as if he was trying to dissipate his anger, and then he looked at me. Not with anger. But with something more. Like an evil monster.

A smirk appeared on his face as he stroked his thumb over my lips, saying, "I left the copy of the contract here. Did you ever get the chance to read all the pages?"

A lump formed in my throat as I sensed the malice in his tone. He walked to the room, which he turned into his office. Whenever it turned so late, he used to stay and work in that room.

In a few minutes, he came to me and handed me the document, saying, "Read clause 7.2.1."

A clause under clause. I signed the contract in a hurry, but before that, I read the contract when he gave it to me the first time; however, I didn't go through all the sub-clauses. I expected the subclauses were only about more details, but as I read them, I was dumbfounded.

"Control: Keiran Wolfe has all the control over Elira Yung and her personal affairs."

My lips quivered. I raised my eyelids to look at his proud face.

"There's more." The smirk was still intact on his face while he turned the page and pointed at another subclause.

I read, "Elira Yung should not have any intimate contact with other men, including hugging and kissing."

"I clearly saw you both hugging. Worse, he kissed your forehead."

I didn't understand what to say. My palms turned sweaty, and tears didn't stop wetting my face. I bent my head down, feeling heavy in my chest.

He stepped towards me, crowding me. "Rule number one: Never skip any detail from a contract. Especially when you are dealing with a devil."

He placed his forefinger under my chin, making me raise my head to look at him. "Babygirl, you violated the rules. What should I do now?"

My angry expression was long gone, and I looked at him, almost begging him with my eyes.

He took a step back, saying, "You talked about the contract and clauses. Shall we talk about the violation clause now?"

Quickly, he called Alex, and the next words he said left me on my knees.

"Stop paying for the treatment."
