Matthew and I sat on the chairs beside Mira's bed, which totally changed. It was not any regular ward, but a VIP ward. Everything in her room screamed luxurious, even though it was a hospital room. Not even twenty-four hours had passed since I signed the contract, but he had taken care of everything related to Mira. Despite everything that happened, I felt grateful for Mr. Wolfe.
"This is really a miracle. What are the chances of a patient suddenly getting a sponsor for the treatment and getting a room in a VIP ward?" Matthew scoffed. "It seems Mira is really lucky."
Initially, he felt it suspicious, but the doctor played along upon my request. We told him a charity paid for her treatment, and the rich businessman who ran it pitied her and personally took care of her and her room. I went to lengths to make him believe it.
"I am glad she's okay now." He held my hand. Then he looked at me apologetically, saying, "I am sorry I couldn't arrange the money for her treatment. I tried. I really tried so much, but I was not able to arrange it."
I smiled at him, saying, "It's okay. I know how hard it is to get the money, especially such a large amount. At least, you were there when I needed someone to lean on."
He wrapped his arm around my shoulder, pulling me close. "Thanks for understanding. Trust me, I will always be there for you and your sister."
My sister didn't wake up. I didn't expect it either. Seeing her peacefully rest was a big thing for me, let alone waking up and chatting with me.
Matthew stayed with us for a few minutes, and then he left. As I sat alone, my thoughts went back to the previous night. Everything that happened the previous night was wrong. His words, touch, taste, and the reaction of my body.
I put my palms on my face, swallowing down my emotions. I felt like crying, throwing up, and running away from all the madness, but I knew I was not lucky enough. Just by imagining the coming days and months, my body started to shiver in fear. I knew he was going to chew me up whole.
A little later, as I walked home, a car suddenly halted beside me, which made me flinch. I didn't have to see the person inside it to know who it belonged to.
"Get in the car." Mr. Wolfe said, more like ordered, after rolling the window down.
I hesitated. I looked at him, frightened.
"Do I have to repeat?" He glared at me.
I shook my head and sat on the passenger seat. I didn't understand what to say, so I kept quiet.
"You are moving into my place."
His words broke the silence along with my peace. My eyes widened, and I looked at him, worried. I wanted to yell at him and tell him that I was not going to do such a thing, but my fear made me shut my mouth.
"If you have anything that you want to bring with you, do it now. You won't get another chance." He let out his final word before driving me to my house in silence.
He took the liberty of stepping inside without being invited. He looked at my house, making a face, which I couldn't read. He looked disgusted at the state of my room and worried about how anyone could live in such a place.
"Hurry! I don't have all the time." He sat on the bed, looking at his watch.
I fisted my palm, trying to gather the courage. I finally spoke, "What's the need to move? I can come whenever you tell me to…"
He interrupted me by pulling me to his lap. It was a surprise for me to see how well I fit on his lap and arms.
Looking into my eyes, deeply, he spoke, "You forgot the clauses already? It's clearly mentioned that you should stay at the residence I provide. You can't change it."
I simply nodded my head. I didn't have much to pack, so it didn't take much time for me to vacate. After an hour drive, we reached one of his residences. My eyes widened in shock as I looked at it.
It was not just any apartment but a villa surrounded by a huge garden. A fountain was placed at the entryway, welcoming everyone.
"You should stay here from today." He said while we stood in the main hall.
My entire house was one-fourth of his main hall. It was cozy with well-equipped furniture. Then I reached the bedroom, which had a few indoor plants and a massive bed placed in the middle of the room.
I could not stop admiring how beautiful and elegant everything looked. The only things that felt out of place were me and my bag. It felt embarrassing to even stand among all the luxury that surrounded us.
"You can't move out." He looked at me seriously. "Until our contract ends, this will be your house."
He then stepped closer to me and spoke in his seductive tone, "Don't be sad that I won't stay here. I will be visiting you very often."
A strange happiness hit me when I heard him. The fact that he was not going to stay with me made me happy.
He then grabbed my waist and pulled me to his chest. A small gasp escaped my mouth as my breasts collided with his body. Leaning closer to me, he whispered into my ear, "For instance, tonight."
My happiness was short-lived as soon as I heard his words. A small smirk appeared on his lips, and he brought his fingers to my lips, stroking them while enjoying the scared look on my face.
Then he slowly left me and stepped away, saying, "So, be ready for me tonight."
Giving me one final look, he walked away, leaving me frightened.
