"Such a person..."
Ryoma finally broke the silence.
Sarutobi Hiruzen's voice was cold as he asked, "Jiraiya, Tsunade, what are you doing here?"
Tsunade's eyes shifted and she pointed directly at Ryoma. "Sensei, this shameless bastard actually tried to take advantage of Kushina while she was drunk!"
"Luckily, I found him in time, otherwise Kushina would have suffered."
Ryoma was suddenly left speechless. Thick roots burst from the ground once again, but before he could react, Tsunade snapped her fingers and bound him with her immense strength.
Sarutobi turned his sharp gaze toward Ryoma. "Ryoma, what exactly is going on here?"
"Kushina was drunk. If I didn't help her back, was I supposed to just leave her lying there? Drag her across the ground?"
"Tsunade, did you even bother to ask about the situation?"
Tsunade crossed her arms with a scoff. "Do I need to ask? Seeing is believing. Isn't that enough?"
[Ding! Based on the host's environment, three choices are available!]
Option 1: Forgive Tsunade, accept her criticism.
Reward:A worn shuriken.
Option 2: Forgive Tsunade, showing you let down your guard.
Reward:C-rank Ninjutsu – Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique.
Option 3: Get angry at Tsunade, properly "educate" her.
Reward:S-rank Ninjutsu – Strength of a Hundred Seal.
Ryoma almost laughed. He hadn't even been trying to scare anyone, yet the system's timing was impeccable, pushing him right into conflict.
He curled his lip. "Completely brainless."
Tsunade froze. The others stared wide-eyed.
"You… what did you just say?!"
She truly hadn't expected Ryoma to insult her outright.
"Don't you get it? I'm saying you've got a big chest and no brains."
"Seeing is believing? What kind of logic is that? If I hadn't caught her, was I supposed to let her fall face-first and drag her back home? Do your eyes not work, or is it your brain?"
"If your IQ is that low, don't act so self-righteous."
"Well-developed limbs, simple mind."
Ryoma let the insults roll off his tongue, each sharper than the last, leaving everyone dumbfounded.
Tsunade exploded.
"You bastard, you're dead!"
Just as she lunged forward, Ryoma's body flickered—vanishing and reappearing a hundred meters away.
The Flying Thunder God mark he had prepared earlier lit up, teleporting him instantly.
This time, even Orochimaru and Sarutobi widened their eyes.
"That's… the Flying Thunder God Technique?"
Jiraiya frowned. "Sensei, didn't you teach him that?"
Sarutobi shook his head gravely.
Orochimaru's golden eyes narrowed. "If you didn't teach him, then this man is highly suspicious."
Sarutobi cut him off sharply. "Enough, Orochimaru. Don't let your thoughts wander. The Flying Thunder God is too unique to have been taught by outsiders. Put away your suspicions. Rest for now—missions await you soon."
Orochimaru forced a lazy yawn. "Got it, sensei…"
But deep inside, he smirked. How could a mission compare to the mystery of Ryoma? There will be another opportunity.
Ryoma gently set Kushina down.
"Hmph."
A cold voice suddenly whispered behind him. His spine stiffened, hair standing on end.
"Ryoma, behind you!" Jiraiya shouted.
Ryoma whirled around just as the diamond-shaped mark on Tsunade's forehead shattered open. Black lines spread across her face, framing her eyes before running down to her chin.
The Strength of a Hundred Seal—released.
Unlocking all the reserves of her Yin Seal, Tsunade's body erupted with a radiant golden chakra aura.
Driven into a frenzy by Ryoma's taunts, her anger boiled over. In an instant, she appeared behind him and Kushina, one hand reaching to crush Ryoma's skull.
Crack!
Ryoma's head split apart in her palm.
"…Too weak."
Tsunade frowned in disbelief, but before she could process it, the image dissolved into splinters of wood.
Substitution Jutsu.
Even Kushina beneath her feet shattered into another block of timber.
"Over here."
Ryoma's voice came from the side. He reappeared ten meters away, holding the real Kushina securely in his arms. Beneath Tsunade, the ground rumbled, and a massive wooden dragon erupted upward, coiling skyward with crushing force.
Sarutobi Hiruzen's eyes widened, his voice carrying both surprise and nostalgia.
"The Wood Dragon Technique… I haven't seen it in decades. To think I'd witness it again."
Memories stirred. He recalled the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, summoning this very jutsu during the rampage of the Nine-Tails. Vast trees and dragons of living wood had bound the beast, forcing even the mighty Nine-Tails to scream in pain as its chakra was drained away.
Though Ryoma's dragon was far smaller in scale, the resemblance was unmistakable.
"Courting death!"
(TN: He said the magic words~😏)
Tsunade roared and drove her fist into the wooden dragon's body. But instead of shattering, the dragon absorbed her chakra, its wooden coils wrapping tightly around her.
"What?!"
Before she could react, the dragon bound her completely.
"Hmph, you think something like this can hold me?!"
Her eyes burned with defiance as she poured more chakra outward, fully confident in her ability to break free.
After all, the Wood Dragon was one of her grandfather's signature techniques. Tsunade knew exactly how it worked—and how to counter it.
"If it wants my chakra, then I'll drown it in more than it can handle!"
She released an overwhelming surge of chakra, her body glowing like a blazing sun within the dragon's coils.
