"Pff—!"
Tornado nearly spat blood, her big eyes wide. It was like someone had ripped away her blanket and exposed her completely.
Her face flushed crimson, but she still shouted stubbornly:
"How could I ever like this pighead? He's bald! You want me and my sister to marry the same man? Dream on!"
"Looks like Teacher Saitama doesn't object though," Vision Helen said.
"Really?" Tornado couldn't hide a flicker of joy.
Child Emperor: "..."
So much for denial.
Realizing her slip, Tornado blushed deeper, like a boiled shrimp. The thought of marrying alongside her sister and other pretty women was tempting, but far too much!
She stiffened her neck, pretending to be defiant but sneaking curious glances.
"Ahem, Helen-san... can you actually see our thoughts?"
Child Emperor asked nervously.
"You mean your plan to miniaturize space so Saitama can carry it? And that you think I'm very pretty? Thank you."
Helen smiled politely.
Child Emperor: "..."
The poor boy turned scarlet. To be caught admiring his teacher's student in front of him—especially one as beautiful as Helen—was mortifying.
"It's because of the Mind Stone?"
Saitama asked curiously.
"Yes, Teacher." Helen nodded. Unlike the original Vision, she understood the Mind Stone. Vision never knew how to wield it, relying only on his vibranium body, using the stone as a laser.
Ultron had planned to use it to control the Earth. After his death, Saitama reclaimed the Mind Stone. With Helen inheriting Vision's cube, she now knew exactly how to use it.
She could read others' minds clearly, though stronger, more complex minds were harder to pierce.
"Still, best not to overuse it. It might be awkward," Saitama said honestly.
"Awkward? Not me! Baldy!" Tornado snapped, though one look at Child Emperor's face said otherwise.
"Are Fubuki and the others okay?" Saitama asked.
"Hmph! So you remember them? I thought you'd forgotten us after collecting all these students!" Tornado pouted.
Child Emperor wanted to sneak out. He smelled jealousy and the risk of an explosion.
"Oh, good. Want to come over for dinner tonight, Tornado?" Saitama asked seriously.
"I... I..." She glared, about to refuse, but ended up nodding. Then quickly added, "Of course! I'll eat you broke, baldy!"
Child Emperor: "..."
Single dogs take critical damage.
"Teacher, about twenty kilometers from here... there's a monster."
Helen suddenly spoke.
"Monster?" Saitama's eyes narrowed.
Tornado and Child Emperor tensed.
"Lately monsters appear more often. But with you back, it's no problem," Tornado said.
While Saitama was away, Bang had taken Garou, and hero hunts dropped. But monsters still appeared, growing stronger with time. The Hero Association struggled.
"Don't worry, Teacher. Based on your world's levels, they're tiger-class. Other S-Class heroes are nearby. No big deal," Helen explained.
"You know all this? And how far can you see?"
Saitama was curious. He hadn't told her about his world. Yet she seemed to know everything, scanning with mental power.
"My range isn't huge. About 100 km. I pick it up from people's minds," Helen answered.
The Mind Stone. Its wielder could read and alter thoughts across wide areas. With Helen, it was like building Yuri's Mind Control Tower + Mental Detector in real life.
No wonder it was one of the six Infinity Stones.
"Amazing!"
Saitama's eyes lit up.
Tornado and Child Emperor rolled their eyes. This guy always praised others, forgetting he was the real monster.
"In that case, Helen, go help them. Reduce casualties. Tornado, let's head home."
"Hmph! Who'd go with you? Wait for me, baldy!"
She huffed, then hurried after him.
Helen bowed and flew toward the monsters.
Child Emperor: "..."
I need to move out of this lab. At this rate, I'll go crazy. I'm still a kid! Why torture me with this dog food every day?!
Meanwhile, at a rotating sushi bar—
"Thanks for guarding us today, Metal Bat," a fat rich man said. His spoiled son sat beside him.
Metal Bat's brow twitched.
He thought it was an important mission. Turns out, he was babysitting two pigs at dinner. What a joke!
He was S-Class, rank 18! Sure, he'd slipped once and dropped to A-Class, but he'd clawed back up fast.
"Sweet Mask, that bastard... one day I'll smash him into meat paste!"
He clenched his fists, simmering in fury.
