"Is this your mindscape?"
A ruined city stretched out before him.
The abandoned wastelands of Z-City.
Vision-Ultron descended, scanning the desolate streets. Nothing unusual, aside from the lifeless decay.
Rumble—
From beneath the rubble, a massive monster burst forth, toppling buildings as it roared at the sky!
Demon-level — Pig Head Monster!
Ultron's face twitched.
This creature's aura dwarfed his Hunter II machines. A true monster unlike anything he had seen.
Before he could react—
Another bellow shook the ground.
The earth cracked open as an even larger figure rose.
Dragon-level — Vaccine Man!
His very presence corroded the ruins around him. Ultron quickly calculated: the viral emissions could even damage his vibranium body.
"So this is Saitama's inner world? He isn't from Earth at all—his mind is filled with horrors like this?!"
Even wielding the Mind Stone, Ultron felt a chill.
Then—
A shadow engulfed him.
The sun vanished.
He looked up—
And froze.
A colossal starship hovered above.
On its deck stood a lone figure.
Boros.
The Boros before defeat.
The conqueror etched into Saitama's mind, emanating overwhelming might.
With a casual flick of his finger, a beam of energy lanced down.
Boom!
Vaccine Man was obliterated, body erased from existence.
The Pig Head Monster howled, fleeing in terror.
Ultron's processors raced, disbelief flooding him.
This Boros—
Stronger than Saitama?!
A ruler of the universe.
Even Ultron, armed with the Mind Stone, felt utterly exposed. Not even his phasing ability could hide him.
"This is terrifying… Is this what even Saitama fears?"
He thought he had found the key. If he could tap into that fear, he could break Saitama's will and seize control.
But before the thought took root—
The ground trembled violently.
"ROOOOAAARRR! The universe belongs to our King!!"
A monstrous voice thundered from below.
Ultron's eyes bulged.
The earth split, and an even greater monster surged upward.
God-level — Subterranean King!!
Ugly, crude-looking—yet it rocketed skyward, slamming its fist into Boros.
Blood spewed from the galactic conqueror's mouth.
"W-What?!"
Ultron nearly short-circuited.
Boros was a cosmic overlord! Yet from beneath, a monster even stronger had emerged?!
The sky cracked. The land shattered.
Boros fought desperately, unleashing his might—
But the Subterranean King pummeled him mercilessly.
Ultron felt like a leaf in a hurricane, buffeted by the storm of Saitama's subconscious.
This world… was too terrifying.
The God-level Subterranean King annihilated Boros completely.
Ultron's mind reeled.
He could only watch as the King rampaged, conquering world after world.
But there was something strange.
Wherever the Subterranean King went—
he always spared the supermarkets.
And every time, he would ask one question:
"Do you have discounts here?"
If the answer was no, he destroyed the store instantly.
If the answer was yes, he smiled—then ordered that sales must always be held on Saturdays, and stores could not close before midnight.
Several owners closed early out of exhaustion.
The Subterranean King obliterated them and their shops without mercy.
Ultron: "..."
Utterly dumbfounded.
Did this God-level monster… love supermarket shopping?
Why Saturday? Why sales?
Nothing made sense.
Even stranger—
Though he had wandered this nightmare world for so long, Ultron still hadn't found Saitama himself.
Was his spirit so chaotic that even his true self couldn't be found?
Then one day, as the Subterranean King battled to conquer yet another world—
Ultron's eyes widened.
He saw someone familiar among the bystanders.
White T-shirt with Hello Kitty printed on it.
Loose shorts. Flip-flops.
Plastic bags filled with groceries dangling from his hands.
The bald head gleamed under the sun.
Saitama.
He strolled out of the supermarket, smiling faintly, clearly pleased with his shopping.
He walked right past the battlefield of gods and monsters, completely unfazed.
Ultron realized—
Every time the Subterranean King stopped fighting, it was because this man passed by.
"W-What? In his own world… he's just a passerby? A bargain shopper?!"
Driven by malice, Ultron shouted toward the King:
"There! The bald one! Kill him!!"
At the same time, he unleashed the Mind Stone's power, seizing control of the monster fighting the King, hurling it at Saitama.
If he killed his spirit here—
Saitama would die in the real world too.
Ultron sneered wickedly.
