Chapter 192 - Chapter 192: S.H.I.E.L.D. Crisis! Nick Fury Dies!

The moment Steve spoke, the agents inside the elevator lunged at him.

Electro-shackles and stun batons flashed as they tried to subdue Captain America.

But Steve Rogers was no ordinary man. Ten against one, and they still couldn't pin him down.

Just then—

Knock knock~

A strange, out-of-place tapping came from outside the elevator.

Everyone froze. Steve glanced over—

And there stood a bald man in a yellow jumpsuit, white cape fluttering behind him, casually waving.

"Saitama?!" Steve blurted in shock.

That instant of distraction was all it took. Two agents locked his wrists in magnetic shackles.

The elevator doors burst open. More men rushed in.

"Go, Saitama! S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't what it used to be anymore!" Steve shouted.

Guns swung toward the bald hero, every agent on edge.

After all, this wasn't just any man. This was Saitama, the invincible hero endorsed by Stark Industries, a living symbol of strength.

"You seem to be in trouble, Steve," Saitama said flatly.

Ignoring the weapons pointed at him, he reached out—

Shatter!

The reinforced glass barrier cracked like brittle ice. With a light twist, Saitama bent the alloy railings wide enough for a man to step through.

He landed inside the elevator without a care.

Not a single agent pulled the trigger.

Too strong. The steel that resisted bullets folded like paper in his hands. Who dared provoke him?

"Leave now, Saitama! Fury is dead, and S.H.I.E.L.D. is compromised!" Steve urged, panic flashing in his eyes.

"We can talk outside. Anyone here… got a problem with that?"

With a casual squeeze, Saitama crushed the shackles binding Steve. His dull eyes swept the room.

No one answered. One by one, the agents backed away, clearing a path.

In the control room, silence reigned.

The order to arrest Captain America had been hard enough to swallow. But this? Saitama's sudden arrival shocked them to the core.

"Why… why is he here?!"

Alexander Pierce's heart sank.

As a high-ranking Hydra infiltrator, he had one priority: eliminate threats to their plan.

And Saitama was target number one.

Saitama patted Steve's shoulder. "Let's go."

Together, the two walked straight out of S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters. Guns lined their path, but none dared fire.

"Fury's death doesn't add up. S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't the organization it used to be," Steve muttered.

Outside, engines roared overhead.

"Attention, Steve Rogers and Saitama. Surrender immediately or we will open fire!"

The warning repeated as a fleet of stealth gunships surrounded them, Gatling cannons glowing, missiles armed.

"Master, threat detected!"

Weekend Special's voice buzzed in Saitama's ear, the AI eager as ever.

"No. Analyze S.H.I.E.L.D.'s activity and identify the root issue," Saitama ordered calmly.

Streams of encrypted data flickered past invisible to all but the AI.

Pierce's face twisted. Fear gnawed at him.

"Open fire! Kill them!" he barked.

"Director, it's Steve and Saitama—"

"I said FIRE!"

The sky rained bullets and missiles. Explosions consumed the headquarters entrance.

"Even if Saitama survives… Rogers is finished," Pierce thought coldly.

But as the smoke cleared—

A sphere of crackling energy shimmered into view. Scales of black metal overlapped, arcs of blue lightning weaving between them.

Saitama stood unharmed within.

The shield dissolved, the fragments reforming into an unremarkable black ring on his hand.

Weekend Special's voice rang out: "Zero-Type Defense. Even a nuclear strike would be ineffective."

"Analysis complete. S.H.I.E.L.D. has been compromised by Hydra. Secret project location identified. Proceed?"

A holographic map flashed across Saitama's vision.

"Proceed. Let's go, Nick Fury."

With one hand, Saitama scooped Steve up.

Their bodies vanished in a streak of lightning, leaving Hydra gaping in disbelief.
