Chapter 139 - Chapter 139: Hulk vs. Metal Knight! Smash You! Today’s Bricks Are Extra Hot!!

Saitama, with a bit of mischief in mind, decided there was no reason to stick around now that Boros had been dealt with. Without a word, he vanished in a flash of light.

The next second, he was back home, changed into his blue-and-white striped pajamas, and pulled a plate of fruit platter from the fridge—prepared by the three heroines. Happily, he lay on the sofa, watching TV while munching.

Meanwhile, the massive interstellar warship, its control room abandoned, began to sink. Not long after Saitama left, the ship's hull suddenly exploded. Purple lightning split the air as green psychic energy surged. Tornado and Blizzard, in full rampage mode, burst out and annihilated the wretched octopus monster completely!

The ship was huge. Many alien soldiers manning weapon systems still survived inside. Unfortunately for them, Tornado and Blizzard, both top-tier psychic monsters, sent every missile back into the ship itself.

Boom! Deafening explosions rocked the sky. The gathered S-class heroes stared wide-eyed at the sinking warship.

It was over. The alien invasion war had ended.

Though to most, it didn't feel that troublesome—Boros was the toughest part, after all.

"Finally done. I can head back now. My dojo still has things to take care of," Silver Fang stretched.

"My sword's broken. What a disgrace to a samurai," Atomic Samurai muttered at his melted blade.

The other S-class heroes also prepared to leave.

Suddenly, Metal Knight flew up, red mechanical eyes scanning the wreckage of the warship.

"What are you doing?" Genos asked warily. From the beginning, some heroes clearly hadn't fought seriously—Dog Man, Metal Knight, even Sweet Mask. Pretending to battle, but secretly calculating. And now, with the fight over, Metal Knight moved in.

"Recovering this warship. There are things inside I need," Metal Knight said bluntly, as if it were his right.

Bang, Atomic Samurai, Child Emperor, and others frowned. Metal Knight wasn't ranked high, but he had deep ties with the Association. He had built their headquarters, provided advanced tech, and made plenty of profit. Nobody knew where his true body was, only that all his machines were remote-controlled.

Even Tornado had to give him some face—nobody wanted to chew this hard bone.

"Heh! Sorry, but someone else already claimed this ship," a rough, mocking voice rumbled behind him.

Everyone turned. It was the grinning Savage Hulk.

"Hm? S-Class No. 4, Bruce Banner? You mean to fight me for this wreckage?" Metal Knight's voice chilled, his shoulder launchers opening.

"Haha! No need to fight. Split it half and half?" Hulk sneered.

"This is already my bottom line. Don't think—"

Before he could finish, Hulk's green hand grabbed his leg.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Before all the stunned S-class heroes, Hulk swung Metal Knight's robot like trash, smashing him left and right. Missiles detonated across Hulk's body, exploding violently—but they only enraged him further, boosting his strength.

S-Class Metal Knight, his remote machine, was smashed to pieces in front of everyone. Wires and sparks flew, his armored frame twisted like scrap iron. Finally, Hulk stomped it into the ground, leaving a huge footprint in the once-indestructible alloy.

"You think you can bargain with me? I'm not in the mood. Anyone got a problem? Then this wreck belongs to me!"

Hulk's eyes swept the crowd.

Tornado and Blizzard ignored him. Why? Because—well, the truth was, the wreck's salvage was already decided by Special Sale Saturday's supercomputer analysis, and Bruce had agreed. They valued the wreckage at over 10 billion yen.

Tornado and Blizzard, as silent partners, each got 20 million yen. Not bad at all.

Genos, too, stayed silent. Silver Fang, Atomic Samurai, and the rest decided to give face.

So the wreckage of the starship naturally fell into Bruce's hands—technically, his and Dr. Genus's joint research institute.

Otherwise, when all the heroes left, the sad remains of Gorilla, Beast King, Ground Mouse, and Carnage Kabuto would've crawled out—now reduced to construction workers in yellow safety helmets, hauling wreckage under the blazing sun.

June 9th.

The day was hot. Today's bricks burned extra.
