"Yes, we've tried all kinds of methods already. More than ten hydraulic cranes have been wrecked, but nothing works."
Coulson sighed helplessly.
"Saitama, it's this hammer. A real headache. No human can lift it. I doubt you can either."
Fury rubbed his temples.
As they spoke, a shrill alarm suddenly blared.
"Someone broke in?"
Coulson's face darkened, pulling out his walkie-talkie to issue commands.
But the sound of fighting drew closer.
A tall, blond man charged in, knocking aside agents and soldiers as he went, his eyes fixed firmly on the hammer!
It was Thor!
Banished from Asgard by Odin, Thor had sneaked back under the cover of night with Jane, hoping to reclaim Mjolnir.
"I need armed backup!"
Coulson ordered as Natasha prepared to move—
—but Saitama stopped them.
"With him here, it's fine."
Fury was completely calm, having already witnessed Saitama's terrifying strength.
Whatever god, whatever monster—none of it mattered.
The bald demon king was the monster among monsters.
Thor cut his way through, finally standing before Mjolnir.
His face lit up with pride and determination.
This was his weapon!
With it, he would return to Asgard!
From a high platform, Hawkeye silently drew his bow, ready to fire at Fury's command.
But Fury gave no such order.
Thor shoved aside the last obstacle and stood directly before the hammer. His grin widened, his heart pounding with exhilaration.
Gripping the handle, he felt the familiar touch.
Old friend!
"Raaaghhhh!!"
But the smile froze on his face.
What the hell?!
No matter how he strained, Mjolnir wouldn't budge.
His arms trembled, his veins bulged, but it was useless.
A crushing despair filled him.
He had been abandoned.
Forsaken by the gods themselves.
Collapsing to the ground, he roared his anguish, hollow and broken.
"…Another lunatic."
Fury sighed.
Others had tried to steal the hammer before, all to no avail.
This intruder seemed the most desperate, but still—no use.
"He's strong,"
Saitama said with a nod.
Fury and Natasha froze.
Strong?
Was he serious?
That blond weakling? Sure, he'd taken out a dozen agents, but so what?
Even Stark wouldn't get such a compliment from Saitama.
But Saitama could see Thor's stats:
Name: Thor
Hero Class: God of Thunder
Intelligence: 2 (3)
Strength: 2 (7)
Speed: 2 (6)
Endurance: 2 (7)
Energy Projection: 2 (7)
Combat Skill: 2 (6)
Note: Thor without godly power is no different from a human. Regains full attributes when his power is restored.
"Want me to give it a try?"
Saitama asked politely as Thor slumped in despair.
Thor glanced at him, then let out a bitter laugh.
"Useless… Only I or my father can lift it. Now, not even I can…"
"Oh? Asgard hammer?"
Saitama scratched his head curiously and reached for it.
Thor shook his head, even closing his eyes.
Banished, abandoned, powerless—he had no future in Asgard.
But as he brooded, an explosive hum filled the air.
Lightning flared, blinding and deafening, shaking the entire base.
Soldiers stumbled and fell in terror.
Even Fury, Natasha, and Coulson nearly lost their footing.
In every stunned gaze—
Mjolnir, immovable until now…
…shifted.
Just a fraction of a millimeter.
Saitama's face lit up with rare excitement.
His muscles tensed.
Finally—something interesting.
Thor's eyes widened in horror.
Mjolnir could only be wielded with divine power—yet this bald mortal was forcing it, by sheer brute strength!
The hammer resisted, lightning erupting like a raging storm.
Bolts shot skyward, forming a colossal pillar of light visible for miles.
And within that searing brilliance, the bald king of salted-fish stood calm, expression unchanged.
Meanwhile, in Asgard—
In the treasure vault, Loki had just confronted Odin and learned his true heritage.
In anger and despair, Odin collapsed into the Odinsleep.
At first Loki panicked, begging desperately—
but soon, relief crept in.
Thor was banished.
Odin was incapacitated.
By right, the throne of Asgard fell to him!
Surely this was fate's reward for his suffering.
Smiling bitterly in public yet rejoicing inside, Loki began plotting to ensure Thor's exile became permanent—
or better yet, fatal.
But then—
A thunderous boom shook the heavens.
A pillar of lightning from Midgard pierced the skies, slamming into Asgard's royal palace itself, shaking the realm to its core!
