"Mr. Saitama, the Gauss sniper rifle has been completed. Testing is finished."
After nearly a month, Jarvis finally finished producing the Gauss sniper rifle.
"Man, looks like I've got to speed up the reactor upgrade. This thing… isn't made just to deal with me, right?"
Stark, having received the same update, wore a bitter expression.
The Gauss sniper rifle.
Its greatest strength was penetration—atomic-level penetration. Even violent spatial tremors couldn't stop a single shot.
Stark had once asked Jarvis, and the reply was blunt: even the newest, metal-forged reactor couldn't provide the energy load density required for the Gauss sniper rifle.
Simply put…
It was like trying to power a Boeing airliner with a diesel engine. You'd need rocket-engine-level output!
And right now, only that monster Saitama met the requirement!
The two stepped into the lab.
There it was—a sleek, one-zhang-long Gauss sniper rifle lying on the testing platform.
The weapon's body was elegant and efficient, with a long barrel that screamed of raw power.
Along its side ran a faint blue line, giving it a futuristic, sci-fi aura.
The Gauss sniper rifle also came with a tactical scope, carrying a copy of Jarvis inside, serving as its main battle-assist system.
When not in use, it could shrink down into a tactical wristwatch for easy carrying.
"Mr. Stark, according to the schedule, today Hammer Industries is co-hosting an armor expo with the Department of Defense. Do you plan to attend?"
Jarvis's voice rang out.
"Hammer? The guys who make lighters and assemble sofa TVs?"
Stark sneered.
"Miss Potts and Miss Natasha are already representing Stark Industries, so your attendance is not required."
The projection displayed an invitation letter signed personally by Hammer.
Stark pursed his lips, annoyed.
Before Stark Industries shut down its weapons division, Hammer's little company couldn't even get scraps. And now they dared to puff themselves up?
Trying to shit right in front of him?
Just as he was about to refuse, Saitama's face flashed across his mind.
"Unknown incoming call, Mr. Stark."
"Patch it through."
The line connected. A deep, hoarse, chilling voice came through, instantly freezing Stark's face.
"Hey, Tony, how's your mom? Heh. I doubled the rotation speed, followed your advice, and sure enough, the energy's much stronger now."
The voice belonged to none other than… Ivan Vanko!
He sounded disturbingly lively.
Expressionless, Stark's heart sank. He hadn't expected this bastard to still be alive.
Last time, Vanko had pointed out his poisoning, practically waiting for him to drop dead!
"Need a hand?"
Beside him, Saitama casually fiddled with the Gauss sniper rifle, asking offhandedly.
"Relax, brother, I've got this handled."
Stark forced a smile and hit the mute button. "Track the call's location, Jarvis!"
"Yes, sir. Activating Oracle Life Network…"
The display lit up, quickly locking onto the caller's position.
Of course, with Jarvis's terrifying processing power, it didn't take long to trace it.
Meanwhile, Vanko continued to send Stark messages.
"Now, the Stark family legacy will be rewritten. Everything your father did to my family for forty years, I'll do to you in forty minutes. I hope you're ready…"
Vanko's sinister laugh filled the line before it went dead.
The final trace locked onto the Manhattan area—exactly where Hammer Industries was located.
"Damn it!!"
Stark's eyes flashed with razor-sharp light, his entire body radiating a terrifying aura.
"I've got to head out immediately, brother Saitama!"
No time for explanations.
Stark knew all too well—Vanko was very likely setting his trap at the expo.
Pepper, military officials, and countless business giants were all there!
Slipping into the Mark III armor, Stark locked onto the expo's coordinates. Flames erupted beneath his boots, and he vanished into the sky.
"…What's going on?"
Nearby, Fury's face tightened, and Natasha's brows knitted.
"Leaving me to guard the house, huh?"
Twirling the finely-crafted Gauss sniper rifle in his hands, Saitama smirked, "Guess I'll go practice shooting instead. Give me a suitable coordinate, Jarvis."
"Searching for coordinates within the Gauss sniper rifle's bionic range… [Coordinate screenshot ~~~]"
A light-brown tactical lens fell over Saitama's right eye.
Data streamed down across the glass like a waterfall.
In moments, a target locked.
"Crackle—"
Arcs of lightning surged.
Before Fury and Natasha's stunned gazes, Saitama vanished with the Gauss sniper rifle in hand.
"So fast…"
Natasha wiped sweat from her brow. Compared to their first meeting, Saitama was even faster now!
"Natasha, follow Stark. He may be in trouble. This is our chance!"
Fury snapped a quick decision.
…
New York Expo Center.
As the largest heavy-industry exhibition in the U.S., it had previously been Stark Industries' exclusive stage.
But this time, the spotlight belonged to Hammer Industries.
Justin Hammer had chosen this place to fulfill his vow of 'shitting in front of Stark.'
Today was his day.
With rhythmic music blasting, Justin Hammer strutted onto the stage with disco-like steps.
He tried to mimic Stark's smooth moves but came off as laughably awkward.
Taking the mic under countless spotlights and the eyes of industry titans, he smiled with forced confidence.
"Ladies and gentlemen, today I present to you… the U.S. military's brand-new face!"
"Hammer Iron Soldiers!!"
The powerful theme music blared.
Lights flashed.
On stage—
Land, sea, and air Iron Soldiers rose from hidden lifts, lined up neatly, exuding an overwhelming aura!
The audience erupted in applause and awe.
Among them, Pepper sat expressionless, utterly unmoved.
And then, even the silver War Machine armor—once housed in Stark's lab—was revealed!
Worn by Colonel Rhodey, clad in heavy Hammer-modified plating, it stirred the crowd with shock.
But Justin Hammer didn't get to bask in his glory for long.
The roar of jet engines thundered from above.
Heads tilted skyward.
As the figure descended, cheers erupted.
It was Stark!!
The iconic brass-toned armor, styled after Saitama's design, landed squarely in front of Justin Hammer.
While Stark scrambled to neutralize hidden dangers—
Saitama, moving like living lightning, had already begun the strongest assault.
