Chapter 46 - Ep 46: Reward and Quest

[You have completed the quest.]

Huh? Didn't I just receive this notification a while ago?

[You have completed a hidden quest. The dead world has been revived.]

[New Quest: Revive the dead world: 1 Revived/17 left.]

[Reword: Divine Ring. Whisper pouch.]

[Whisper pouch - An item with infinite space. You can place anything inside it. It never fills.]

[Divine Ring - A divine relic that allows the user to create a gate that is connected to different worlds, and it can also revive a dead world.]

As Jinhwan read that, he didn't say anything, just kept staring at the window.

What was that? A Ring? Dead world's? And 17 more? And reverse? Isn't that what Hana just says? How can something be used if so how can I not know about it?

I gotta ask people who have come back from Once Gate. For now, I'll just go back and leave Koko at her Village and go back to the gate.

As Jinhwan was about to get up he stopped at the sudden window appearing again. His eyes widened a little as he read that.

[Left in ten minutes fast.]

Huh?

He looks at that in confusion, it's not something he heard about, and this message is more like someone is telling him. But before he can process anything, something happens just a few steps away from him. A crack appeared in mid-air, and it just got bigger like a glass crack, and then it was shattered, leaving a blue light there. It was a gate.

He looks at Koko, then gets on his feet, still holding Hana, who is sleeping on his hands.

"Will you be able to go back on your own?"

Koko looked at him for a few seconds.

"You're leaving?"

She asked.

Jinhwan just nod.

"I don't know why, but I have to leave in ten minutes. So I won't be able to come with you to your Village."

Hearing his words, Koko looked at him for a few moments, standing there. Then she looked up at him.

"Are you going to find that masked man?"

Jinhwan stared at her for a few seconds before answering.

"Yeah, I have to."

Koko takes a step closer to him.

"Then take me with you, I wanna know the reason why he did all this."

"You sure? Because I'm not sure if we can come back here."

He paused, then continued.

"You have your family here."

"I... I don't have family here, it's just Coco, he used to live with my uncle, so it's fine."

Jinhwan just stared at her as if he was seeing someone these eyes made him remember someone...

"Fine, let's go, just hold her for a minute."

He gently held Hana in her hand as she held her close to her chest, one hand around her back, making sure she was comfortable in sleep.

As his hands were free, he grabbed a stone from the ground, then walked towards the huge wall of the City, and slowly removed the webs from the wall. After cleaning a small part, he ran that stone on the wall for a while, writing something. After that, he dropped the stone and walked back to Koko.

"Let's go."

Koko looked back at the direction her Village was, then turned her head back to the gate, and they both walked in that gate together. And with them, the gate disappeared.

"Young master."

The first thing Jinhwan heard as he walked through the gate was the sudden light of the sun, which made him close his eyes as he covered it with the back of his right hand.

Then he felt something, it was warm, holding him in her hands, wrapped around him, hugging him tightly as she could. Jinhwan felt sudden pain in that grip as if his bones would soon be crushed.

"Whoa, whoa, control your strength, Seyoung, you'll kill me."

Jinhwan whispered in pain. Hearing his words made Seyoung realise she hugged him with all her strength, it's not like she is some ordinary person, she is an S Rank awakener after all.

She looked up to him as their eyes met. Jinhwan saw her eyes, they're teary like she could cry at any moment.

Jinhwan gently moved his hand around her face, cupping her face in his hands. Then he moved his thumb around her eyes as he closed them. A few tears fell as he wiped them with his thumbs.

"Didn't know you missed me this much in just a few hours."

"A few hours? You're gone for four days, Jinhwan. I was worried when I found out you get stuck in Once gate."

Jinhwan moved his head in confusion.

Four days? But doesn't the time work differently? As I know, one day in Once gate is counted as one hour of Earth time.. I'm not sure if I was there for three or four days, so on earth, only a few hours must have passed, but how is it possible that the time on that dead world and earth is the same?

Jinhwan moved his gaze from Seyoung, looking around, he saw lots of people standing around him. It's the same road he entered the gate, but now it's blocked. There are a few cars that have blocked the road from both sides. It's afternoon time, the Sun is up in the sky, white as always.

Then he saw Uncle Joon standing there Jinhwan could clearly see that worried expression on his face. A smile appears on his face.

"Don't tell me you miss me, Uncle Joon."

Jinhwan's tone was teasing Joon, and hearing his words, Joon smiled back.

"It's nothing I just had bad thoughts thinking you might not come back... Well, Miss Cha was worried, she would scold me whenever she saw me these days."

His voice was calm and gentle as always.

"Well, well, if it isn't our Boss."

This voice belongs to a man who was sitting on a wooden chair under a huge umbrella, as if he were on the beach.

He was wearing an oversized white t-shirt, blue pants, and a pair of slippers. He moved his left hand, removing his sunglasses, revealing his reddish brown eyes. His beard was brown, cut perfectly short. His hair is tied in a hairband as he gets up from the chair and walks towards Jinhwan. Each step was slow and steady. That smile on his face is still there.

He just stopped a few steps away from him, standing in front of Jinhwan. Seyoung was still clinging to Jinhwan, not bothering with her surroundings.
