Penny's POV
Andrew freezes at the door. Savannah stands there, gorgeous as always, with a bottle of red wine dangling casually from her fingers. She looks like she stepped out of a magazine spread titled How to Haunt Your Ex's New Girlfriend.
Jess mutters, "Oh, hell no," under her breath beside me.
I can practically feel Andrew's pulse from across the room. He doesn't move for a moment, then he steps aside stiffly. "Savannah."
"Andrew," she says smoothly, brushing past him as if she owns the place. Her perfume hits me first—warm, expensive, and intoxicating. "I thought I'd bring something nice. I heard you were hosting such a… cozy evening."
Her eyes find me, flick to Jess, then back to Andrew. She smirks. "I hope I'm not intruding."
"You are," Jess blurts immediately.
I elbow her hard. "Jessie."
"What?" she says innocently. "I'm just setting the mood."
Andrew clears his throat, shutting the door. "Dinner's basically finished."
