The gigantic ape's body rapidly shrank. Black hair, red fur, wild to the extreme, a crushing aura rolling off him.
"Grandpa!!"
Pan's face lit up with joy.
Hidden in the shadows, Gohan watched quietly.
Just as I thought. Base Super Saiyan 4 multiplies power by four thousand times. In this timeline, Dad's base power level is already a hundred billion. After the 4000× boost, that's four hundred trillion… four hundred trillion.
My own mutated form doubles that again. But because my base power is lower, even with an eight-thousand-fold multiplier, I only end up about equal to this timeline's Dad's Super Saiyan 4…
Gohan confirmed his earlier guess.
In the main timeline, he had no other Super Saiyan 4s to compare against. Until now, it had only been a theory that his Super Saiyan 4 was stronger than the "standard" version.
"Grandpa, can you still turn back to the way you used to look?" Pan flew up and asked.
"I don't know. But if I want to beat that guy, I'll need this body and this power."
Goku glanced at his reflection in a pane of glass. His eyes hardened.
Crack.
The glass shattered.
"Pan, take your grandpa Satan somewhere safe."
Goku's tone was calm.
"Got it, Grandpa!!"
Overjoyed, Pan grabbed Mr. Satan and flew away.
"Baby… this is your doom."
Boom.
His extreme speed whipped up a violent gale as Goku rocketed into the sky, locking onto Baby's ki in an instant.
Whoosh!
In a flash, he appeared inside the tall building where Baby was hiding.
"Son Goku, don't you dare harm the great Lord Baby!"
Bulma stepped in front of Baby to block him.
"You know, you look really annoying like this, Bulma," Goku said, mouth quirking.
"Bulma, hurry up!"
Baby smashed through the ceiling and bolted out.
Goku didn't bother with Bulma. He shot after Baby.
As long as he defeated Baby, there would be a way to fix everything.
"Baby, you've piled up so much evil, I will never let you go!"
Goku's voice burned with anger.
"Big words!" Baby snarled, refusing to be humiliated any further. He launched himself at Goku.
Smack!
Goku didn't dodge. He let Baby's fist crash straight into his face.
"So this is your strength?"
Goku's body didn't move an inch. His head tilted, then slowly straightened, still pressing firmly against Baby's fist.
That was psychological warfare at its finest.
Baby completely lost it.
"Die, die, die! How dare you look down on me!!"
His punches rained down in a frenzy, but he still couldn't do any damage to Goku at all.
"Huff… huff…"
Sensing the situation turning against him, Baby yanked himself away, hovering at a distance. He threw his arms up, drawing in the hatred of the Tuffle-controlled Earthlings to form another Revenge Death Ball.
"If you're so tough, then don't dodge!"
Baby tried to goad him.
"Bring it."
Goku dropped to the ground and didn't even lift his hands.
That kind of provocation nearly sent Baby into a complete breakdown.
"Revenge Death Ball!!"
The black energy sphere hurtled down toward Goku.
Goku didn't just stand his ground he didn't so much as twitch. He simply smirked faintly and watched himself get swallowed by the Revenge Death Ball.
Boom!
A deafening explosion shook the air, sending dust flying skyward.
"Hahaha! Goku, no matter how strong you are, there's no way you walk away from that unharmed!"
Seeing his attack land, Baby burst into triumphant laughter.
"Oh? You sure about that?"
Shoo.
A gust tore through the air, blowing the dust cloud away.
Goku stood there unharmed, not a single scratch on him. At his feet, a lone stone pillar had been preserved by his ki.
"Baby, if that's your full power, then you're finished. Haa!"
Goku's figure blurred. His fist slammed into Baby's stomach.
"Gwah!!"
Baby's eyes bulged, almost popping out of his skull, as he spewed up a mouthful of sour fluid mixed with blood.
"Damn it! Damn it!!"
He roared in frustration.
"Baby, this ends now. Ten Times Kamehameha!!"
Goku gathered twin spheres of blue light in his hands, then drew them to his waist. Massive power compressed into the ki spheres, fusing them into one.
"Stop! The great Tuffle-ization plan will not fail, Lord Baby will not be defeated!!"
Bulma's fingers flew over the keyboard.
On top of the building, five dish-like receivers rose and unfolded.
"Bulma?"
Because he controlled Bulma's body through Tuffle parasite eggs, Baby could clearly hear every word she said.
"Bulma, stop! If I get swallowed by that berserk power and lose my mind, then what?!"
Baby might be losing, but that didn't mean he wanted to become a mindless beast.
"I believe in you, Lord Baby! Blutz Waves one thousand times!"
Bulma slammed the final key.
Possessed Bulma was basically a demon at this point more twisted than Baby himself.
The amplifier dishes immediately captured the Blutz Waves Earth was emitting, then reflected them back, magnified a thousandfold.
"Haa!!"
Goku fired his Ten Times Kamehameha at just that moment.
The Blutz Waves poured over Baby's body.
He began to grow.
Another Golden Great Ape appeared.
The shockwave from his transformation completely neutralized Goku's beam.
"Rooooar!!"
As a Golden Great Ape, Baby also began to destroy everything in sight.
One stray blast shot straight toward Pan.
"Grandpa!!"
Goku swooped in and pulled her out of danger just in time.
"Pan, get farther away," he said.
"Grandpa, are you sure you can beat him?" she asked anxiously.
"Don't worry. Right now, he's just a wild animal. I'll take him to an uninhabited planet and finish it there."
Goku's lips curled into a confident smile.
"Mm!!"
Relieved, Pan looked up at him with shining eyes.
Whoosh.
"Where should I take him…? There's no ki to sense on uninhabited planets. The Supreme Kai's World, maybe… Elder Kai will definitely have an idea," Goku muttered.
Supreme Kai's World.
"Pfft. What am I supposed to do about this, you brat?! Don't you dare come here!!"
Elder Kai was absolutely outraged.
Planet Tuffle.
Goku flew up to Baby's shoulder.
Flick!
A ki blast suddenly shot from the tip of Baby's finger.
Goku twisted away, barely dodging it.
"What?!"
"Hahahahaha! Son Goku, don't forget the one transforming into a Great Ape is just Vegeta's body!"
Baby laughed wildly.
"He's really hamming it up, huh," Gohan chuckled from the shadows.
"Baby!!"
Realizing that his plan had failed, Goku had no choice but to fight head-on.
Whoosh!
As soon as he got close, Baby's colossal fist smashed him away.
Even after transforming, Baby's huge body still moved with insane speed, not losing out to Goku at all.
"Damn it… looks like I'll have to get serious."
Goku didn't dare hold back anymore and finally went all out.
Boom, boom, boom!!
One huge and one small silhouette clashed fiercely in the air.
Everything on Planet Tuffle was being reduced to rubble.
Boom!
After exchanging over a hundred blows, the two pulled apart and glared at each other again.
"Hehehe… Goku, I wonder how familiar this one looks to you Galick Gun!!"
Baby gathered a terrifying mass of energy.
Then he suddenly twisted around and fired it toward Earth hanging in the sky.
"Stop, Baby!!"
Goku shouted and shot after it.
"Kamehameha!!"
He fired a beam of his own, dispersing part of the Galick Gun.
But the rest still struck Earth.
Several cities vanished in an instant.
"Baby… you're dead. Ten Times Kamehameha!!"
Goku unleashed another full-power blast and hit Baby dead-on.
The classic anime rule kicked in: lots of smoke means nobody's dead.
Baby remained unscathed.
"Impossible!"
Goku stared in disbelief.
"Hahahaha! That's your full power? It barely tickles!"
Baby roared with laughter.
He had no idea that his larger body also meant a longer "reaction time." It wasn't that he'd taken no damage his nerves just hadn't delivered the signal yet.
"If that's all you've got, then you can die now. Super Galick Beam!!"
Baby mimicked Goku's stance, his whole body glowing blue.
Crackle.
That was when the pain hit.
His muscles spasmed violently, his body trembling uncontrollably.
Goku's Ten Times Kamehameha had absolutely hurt him.
"Son… Goku!!"
Baby's injuries were severe, but he still forced out one last attack.
The blue beam struck Goku head-on.
The two of them crashed to the ground almost simultaneously, completely unconscious.
"Lord Baby!!"
Bulma hurriedly prepared to fire up the Blutz Wave Amplifier again.
Supreme Kai's World.
"Now's our chance," Elder Kai muttered.
"Honored Ancestor, do you mean I should go restore Son Goku's strength?" Kibito Kai asked immediately.
"Idiot! In that body, you can't restore him at all. Go to Earth's Lookout and get the Ultra Divine Water. Use it to purge Trunks and the others of their parasites! No, wait hold it!!"
Elder Kai's eyes widened as he sensed something.
Planet Tuffle.
"That's enough, Bulma. Let's end it here."
Gohan finally stepped out of the shadows.
A single ki blast shattered the amplifier.
"Gohan??"
Bulma froze, staring at the boy who'd appeared in front of her the young Son Gohan locked deep in her memories.
Right now, Gohan didn't look like his adult self at all.
He ignored her and walked over to Baby's massive body.
"Oob, come on out. I know you're not dead."
Gohan's tone was calm.
Baby's huge frame began to twitch and struggle.
The intense pain in his abdomen jolted him awake. He couldn't help but open his mouth and vomit something out.
It was Oob, who had been waiting for a chance to attack Baby from the inside.
Gohan flicked his palm, sending out a sharp ki blade that sliced through Baby's tail.
The thousandfold Blutz Waves hadn't just turned him into a Great Ape they'd also regrown his tail.
Once the tail was severed, Baby's body started to shrink rapidly.
In a mysterious space somewhere
"Oh? I've been found?"
A figure that looked vaguely like a Namekian paused.
He had seen Gohan's arrival.
Though he resembled a Namekian, the pressure he gave off was so overwhelmingly powerful that ordinary words couldn't even begin to describe it.
