Martial Arts Ranks

(Each rank has four sub-grades: Low, Middle, High, Peak)

1. Yellow Rank (Mortal)

Cultivation Level:Body TemperingAt this level, martial arts are purely physical. Movements focus on fundamental forms, stances, and weapon handling. There is little to no Qi usage—techniques rely on body strength and precision.

2. Mystic Rank (Spirit)

Cultivation Level:Qi CondensationThe practitioner begins to infuse Qi into their martial arts, empowering strikes and enabling small-scale ranged attacks. Techniques may include Qi-enhanced weapon arts, light body movements, and basic internal strengthening.

3. Earth Rank

Cultivation Level:Foundation EstablishmentQi becomes fully integrated into every move. Techniques display advanced control, creating defensive barriers or shockwave attacks. Body refinement arts make the practitioner resilient, and aerial footwork becomes possible.

4. Heaven Rank (Sky)

Cultivation Level:Core FormationAt this level, martial techniques fuse with elemental attributes—fire, water, wind, or lightning. Techniques have area-of-effect impact, and combos resonate with the cultivator's Golden Core. Power and artistry unite.

5. Spirit Rank

Cultivation Level:Nascent SoulMartial arts now incorporate spiritual force. Techniques can project soul intent, suppress minds, or strike on both physical and spiritual planes. Astral combat becomes possible, making every move a battle of will.

6. Saint Rank (Mystic)

Cultivation Level:Soul SplittingHere, martial arts transcend mere Qi and soul. Techniques create battle domains, summon phantom clones, and carry partial comprehension of Laws. Each strike can distort reality within a small range.

7. Immortal Rank (Sacred)

Cultivation Level:AscensionTechniques embody fragments of natural Laws. They can resist heavenly tribulations and shatter reality's constraints. Every technique reshapes the battlefield into the cultivator's will.

8. Divine Rank (Immortal)

Cultivation Level:Immortal StageAt this realm, martial arts merge with the Dao. Techniques manifest divine weapons and entire battlefields. Domain creation becomes second nature, and opponents feel as if they fight against heaven itself.

9. Ancient Rank (Divine)

Cultivation Level:Immortal KingThese martial arts originate from the dawn of creation. They can destroy realms, dominate cosmic weapons, and suppress opposing Laws absolutely. Combat becomes a clash of universal principles.

10. Chaos Rank (Transcendent)

Cultivation Level:Immortal EmperorThe peak of martial mastery—techniques that bend, break, and rewrite the Laws of existence. They manipulate time and space, create infinite strike sequences, and forge new realities mid-battle.

Dao Comprehension

1. Basic Understanding (Apprentice)

At this stage, a cultivator has been introduced to the concept of a Dao. They grasp the surface theory and can sense its presence in nature or battle. However, there is little to no actual application in techniques.

Example: A Sword Dao novice might feel an intuitive pull when holding a sword but has no control over sword intent.

2. Initial Comprehension (Titled)

The cultivator begins to apply the Dao in minor ways. Attacks may faintly carry the essence of their chosen Dao, but it's inconsistent or weak. Understanding remains shallow, but it's a crucial breakthrough beyond theory.

Example: A Fire Dao user can now imbue flames with a slight will, making them burn hotter or flow unnaturally.

3. Minor Completion (Expert)

At this level, the cultivator can consciously and reliably integrate the Dao into techniques. Attacks become more potent, and techniques may carry visible Dao manifestations such as Sword Qi or Flame Spirit.

Example: A cultivator's sword slashes may leave behind cutting intent that persists even after the blade passes.

4. Major Completion (Master) (100 System Point)

Here, the Dao is deeply ingrained. Every move, even mundane ones, reflect the essence of their Dao. Techniques become extremely powerful and efficient, often overpowering those below this level of comprehension.

Example: A Space Dao practitioner can fold short distances without technique—just by willing space to shift.

5. Perfection (Grandmaster)

The Dao has become second nature. Cultivators no longer use the Dao—they are expressions of it. Their presence alone may distort the world around them in accordance with their Dao.

Example: A Lightning Dao user's body constantly crackles with lightning, and their mere gaze might paralyze weak enemies.

6. Unity with Dao (Saint)

At this stage, one has transcended technique and form. Their body, mind, and soul are one with their Dao, allowing reality to bend instinctively around them. They no longer invoke laws—they exist as a law's vessel.

Example: A Sword Dao Saint may vanish and reappear as a sword strike, needing no weapon or form.

7. Dao Birth (Venerable)

The cultivator no longer follows existing Daos—they forge their own. Their Dao may twist or rewrite natural laws to reflect their personal philosophy. This is the path of Saints, Emperors, or Founders.

Example: A cultivator who once followed the Ice Dao might create the "Still Frost Dao," freezing time and emotion.

8. Eternal Dao (Eternal)

This is the pinnacle. The cultivator's Dao becomes eternal, capable of influencing reality across dimensions and timelines. They are considered living laws—gods in all but name. Even after death, their Dao may persist and shape future generations.

Example: The Eternal Flame Dao may continue to burn across worlds, granting comprehension to future cultivators.

Alchemist Ranks

1. Apprentice Alchemist

Highest Pill Grade:Mortal Grade

Typical Flame Mastery:1–2 FlamesAn Apprentice Alchemist has just begun their journey. Success rates are low, and they often waste ingredients. Their goal is to master fire control and fundamental cauldron techniques.

6. Grandmaster Alchemist

Highest Pill Grade:Immortal Grade

Typical Flame Mastery:7–8 FlamesA Grandmaster can create Immortal Grade pills—treasures that cultivators from all realms fight to obtain. Their pills often produce natural phenomena during refinement, such as pill lightning or spiritual visions. Only geniuses among geniuses reach this stage.

7. Divine Flame Alchemist

Highest Pill Grade:Divine Grade

Typical Flame Mastery:9 FlamesThese mythical figures can refine pills that defy heaven—pills that heal fatal wounds, reverse aging, resurrect the dead, or alter destiny itself. When refining, divine manifestations often appear, and even heavenly laws tremble.

8. Daoheart Alchemist

Highest Pill Grade:Dao Grade

Typical Flame Mastery:9 Flames (Dao Phenomena)The pinnacle of pill refinement. A Daoheart Alchemist no longer simply refines pills—they create legacies of Dao within each product. Their pills exude Dao auras, summon celestial phenomena, and may even form their own pill spirit. They stand on the same level as founders of immortal sects.

đŸ”„ Advancement Notes

Rank advancement requires both pill grade mastery and flame mastery.

For example:

An alchemist who can create Heaven Grade pills but only controls 4-Flame Fire is not yet a Senior Alchemist.

Pill purity matters.

A 9-Flame refinement of a low-grade pill marks a prodigy, often more valued than someone who barely meets grade requirements.
