Vale's POV
Black helicopters surrounded the warehouse before I could even process what Mama had said about Dante's father.
The sound of rotor blades drowned out the Dragon King's roaring from below. Bright spotlights flooded through the broken windows, making everything look like a nightmare movie.
"Nobody move!" a voice boomed through a megaphone. "This is Agent Sarah Chen with the Department of Supernatural Affairs. We have the building surrounded!"
"Department of what?" I asked in confusion.
"The government knows about us," Luna said grimly. "They've always known."
Papa grabbed my arm. "Vale, we need to run. Now."
But there was nowhere to go. Armed soldiers were rappelling down ropes from the helicopters, landing all around us with military precision.
The Dragon King's massive head poked up through the floor, his golden eyes blazing with ancient fury. When he saw the helicopters, he let out a roar that shattered every remaining window in the warehouse.
