Chapter 226 - Easy money

"Yes! I can't prove it but you definitely cheated!" she declared like it was law.

"Sure sure, whatever helps you cope." I said with a grin.

"What are YOU doing here?" a male voice cuts in from the doorway.

There with a not pleased to see me at all expression was Taiyang Xiao long.

"Good afternoon. You have a lovely home." I say calmly.

"Out. NOW." he said firmly.

"Alright. Unnecessarily hostile but I suppose a surprise visit from someone might warrant such a reaction." I said casually.

"I still haven't decided what I think about you yet. Leave before I decide I don't like you at all." he said firmly.

I pressed down on him with my conquerors haki with narrowed eyes "Don't make a threat you can't keep." I warned flatly as he collapsed to his knees with his hands shuddering as he held himself up from falling.

I look at Ruby "Have a good evening." I say with a polite dip of my head before I elementalize and leave the house.

The moment I was outside I shot up into the sky before moving in a random direction while blanketing the ground below with my observation haki. -

Soon I reached a red leafed forest that I recognized immediately as Forever Fall. The trees here were one of my targets this time as the sap they produced had properties that annoyed Grimm which caused the trees not to suffer much damage from the creatures. Despite this however the place still contained a large population of Grimm. I landed in a flash and began to look for a few saplings that I could transplant back to my world. It wasn't particularly hard as there were a few yearlings that were perfect size, not too big and not tiny sprouts either.-

With a wave of my wand I uprooted these trees cleanly and put them away in my inventory. Still finding Forever fall let me get my bearing in this world since Ruby's home was on Patch island off the west coast of Vale. Forever fall was on this exact coast so now I knew which directions were west and east. I also knew which direction I had to go in order to reach the main city of this kingdom, Vale. Yes the main city of the kingdom was named the same as the kingdom itself.-

No one ever said the creators of this world were very good at naming things. They tended in fact to get rather on the nose with a lot of stuff.

'Oh? Now there's something helpful.' I thought as my observation haki picked up smugglers moving through the forest.

How did I know they were smugglers? Because the sap of these trees was a controlled substance and they were secretly harvesting it. They all had on nondescript black outfits with no defining features and masks to keep their faces hidden. Standard illegal organization type stuff.-

I elementalized and appeared in the midst of their encampment.

"Good evening folks. I'll just be collecting your haul and auras. Please spare yourselves the trouble and don't resist." I say casually.

To absolutely no surprise they all drew guns on me and opened fire. I sighed and let the bullets go through me harmlessly.

"The hard way it is." I say calmly before waving my wand.

The ground shakes as mounds of stone and dirt rise up and turn into iron chains that launch out and wrap around each of these people and drag them screaming into the ground.-

In total it took me barely thirty seconds to trap each of these people from the neck down in the now hardened ground. With the same casual attitude I walked over to their sap collections and stored them in my inventory before making my way to each of them and laying my hand on their heads to claim their aura ability copies. I was quite satisfied with my haul from this amount of effort as that was another ten ability stones for aura that were now part of my collection. I also collected their scrolls and after factory resetting one of them transferred all the money on the others to that one before resetting them too.-

I finally turned the ground they were trapped in into sand before elementalizing and shooting further along the coast from the clouds to find the city of Vale. It wasn't hard to find really as the sun descended and the shattered moon rose over the horizon and darkness deepened everywhere. Vale was a huge city built next to the sea for shipping access and had it's signature Huntsman academy Beacon built on the cliffs overlooking the city. It was a modern city too, slightly futuristic even with the sleek efficient vehicles that were used to get around.-

It was a noisy place even as the day wound down to it's nighttime activities. I made no effort to hide my descent into the city as I appeared in a flash of light on the city square that had a large fountain with a statue of someone or other of some historical importance. At this time of day there was not many people out and about but that number was never zero. Thanks to this quite a few people saw my arrival and strange clothes and took pictures to post online.-

This was all part of the plan though as I doubted Ozpin wouldn't be keeping an eye on the social media of his own turf. He'd definitely see my pictures and likely put two and two together and come personally. With that in mind I walked over to the late night open pizzeria and ordered dinner with the funds I had taken from those smugglers as I waited.
