"Excuse me, could you stop doing whatever it is that you are doing? You are causing my daughters some pain." The man with the girls, likely their father, said firmly.
I looked at the man calmly "I am actively restraining what is happening. Their magic is instinctively triggering it. I can no more stop it than they can their own." I said half truthfully.
I could in fact stop my conquerors haki if I wanted to but I didn't see why I should. It was the truth that their allure magic was triggering the haki to begin with though. -
"Then go to a different line." he said with a sharp tone.
I pressed my conquerors haki down on him at this without bothering to hold it back.
"I was here first. You leave." I said while his face paled and sweat formed on his brow before going back to waiting.
He and his two daughters did in fact go to a different line after that though the older one who I was fairly certain was Fleur kept staring at me afterwards. With that minor speedbump successfully navigated I got to speak to the goblin at the podium and convert a gold bar into galleons. Like before I got ripped off in terms of conversion cost but honestly I couldn't be bothered with it as there was no point.-
The goblins were clever about their price gouging and had it all made public knowledge so nobody could say they were being cheated since everyone got the same price. Didn't mean you weren't getting shafted by them, just that you had no one to complain to since it was transparent from start to end. Still I walked out of the bank fifteen thousand galleons heavier than I walked in.-
I returned to the alchemy shop and bought that elixir while the old man behind the counter just looked at me in amusement.
"I do hope you don't intend to drink the elixir yourself. You may stunt your growth if you do, it wasn't made for children after all." he warned seriously as I put the vial away in my bag.
"I will keep that in mind." I say with a nod before leaving the shop.
After that I didn't really have any interest in any of the other shops besides the book shops. Due to this I chose to check out the various food shops and sample some of the local cuisine.-
It was funny how many looks I got for ordering one of everything on the menu in these places and then actually finishing it all. I caught more than a few gossipy whispers from people making outlandish guesses that I was a dragon is disguise or some such other ridiculousness. Not that I blamed them since putting away half my expected weight in food was insane, especially when I'd go repeat that in a different shop. Personally my favorites so far had to be the pastries and cakes that I bought from the sweet shops.-
"You can come out now." I said casually as I walked into a secluded alley casually after finishing up at the third sweet shop.
"What gave me away?" a male voice asked as the air rippled and a man appeared.
He had a thin figure and dressed in muggle business clothes with a vest and dress pants. He had short brown hair and brown eyes with a face covered in freckles.
"Doesn't matter. Why are you following me?" I asked seriously.
He raised his hands to show me his palms "Don't mean you any harm if that's what you are worried about. Was hired not long ago to investigate you. Not much to be found in the ministry so I chose to go straight to the horse as it were." he said casually.
"Let me guess, Delacour's?" I said with a scoff.
His eyes widened a tick "I can't tell you that, client confidentiality and all that." he said neither confirming or denying my guess.
"Makes no difference to me. Leave me be, I don't like being stalked and I won't ask nicely if I catch you again." I warned before leaving the alley.
He didn't take my warning seriously it seemed.
When my observation haki picked up on his presence stalking me again I didn't bother confronting him but gathered the electrical charges in the air and caused clouds to gather rapidly overhead. People hurried to get away from the sudden freak rain storm while the clouds overhead rumbled. I paid the rain no mind though as I was sitting under a table umbrella on the patio of an icecream parlor. I casually looked at where the guy was standing under an eave and pointed a finger at him as I licked my triple scoop chocolate almond cone.-
The next instant there was a flash followed by the loud crash of lightning striking the ground and the man was left smoking, charred and slumped against the building. My stomach turned at this but I forced it down as I continued eating my icecream. I paid the aurors no mind when they came and collected the body after a small commotion was made once it was spotted. I quietly slipped away with no one the wiser and found the french version of the Leaky cauldron called Le Gobelet Noir or the black goblet in english.
