'Status.' I thought once the tutorial was over.

'I'm a what!?' I mentally yelled as I looked the status screen.
How could I not be shocked at the discovery? I knew exactly what this meant and it all clicked in my head at once. The strange things happening around the previous owner of this body, the location in England, I was in the version of Earth that had the wizarding world of Harry Potter.-
I couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement at this revelation. Sure the world could be extremely dangerous between careless uses of magic, evil wizards, magical beasts and politics but it was also a world of wonder as well. Even better I was a wizard at the age of eleven which means I would likely be either getting a letter via owl or a visit from someone to introduce me to the magical side of the world soon.
'That puts a damper on my plan to leave this place. Even if I may be able to take better care of myself alone I don't want to risk missing my entry into the wizarding world because of that choice. I'll stay until I can learn the location of the Leaky Cauldron.' I thought making a game plan for the future.
My eyes then moved onto the thing listed in the treasures part of my status. I wasn't sure what a seed package was exactly but one thing I did know was that it wasn't part of the belongings that I had gotten from the drawers.-
I assumed it was in the system inventory and focused on trying to open that exact thing. To my surprised it worked as a window opened up mid air that was exactly one meter in size and depth. Within this window I saw a single glittering golden box that was maybe twelve inches cubed. I cautiously reached forward and felt no resistance as my hands slipped through this odd transparent film and into the space to close around the box. Removing it I let the inventory vanish and moved to open the box curiously.-
I don't know what I was expecting but whatever it was I didn't find it. There was no grand surges of power or blinding lights. The lid smoothly lifted off the box and sitting quietly within was a small sack, two strange glowing rainbow stones and a strange looking amulet that looked like a iron ninja star almost but with only three points on a normal looking thin silver chain. The box seemed to just dissolve into nothing nothingness after that leaving these items on my lap. I opened up the sack only to be left confused as it was filled withy strange rainbow colored coins that had a large stylized "M" on one side and my face on the other.-
I brought my status back up at this point hoping for some clues as to what all this was.
{Treasures: Skill stone(Appraisal), Skill stone(Extraction), Amulet of Articulation(Skyrim)
Currencies: Five pounds, 23 pence, 150 System coins}
'Okay so these weird coins are system coins and I understand what the amulet is about but what's up with these skill stones?' I thought confused as I slipped the amulet on under my shirt and picked one up.
{Skill stone detected, acquire skill Y/N?}
'Yes.' I confirmed.
To my surprise the stone seemed to adhere to my palm at that and break down into particles of sand that burrowed into my head painlessly. I groaned slightly however as I now had a chunk of information in my head that hadn't been there before. It wasn't painful really but highly disorienting rather. I somehow knew exactly how to use my skill and had to admit that it was a fitting skill for a merchant to have. Appraisal was a skill that allowed me to look at an item and automatically learn about it's value, downsides, condition and uses via a description.-
This skill was perfect for a merchant because it would make sure that no matter how convincing a counterfeit is I'd always know it was fake. On the same scale it would also let me make deals that would be profitable for me easier. Encouraged by this discovery I repeated this process with the other skill stone and this time I was left stunned. Extraction was nothing like I had thought it would be which was finding the positive aspects of something and them drawing them out. No it was actually a studying skill.-
Extraction basically allowed me to more fully comprehend and internalize information I read. I was conflicted about this skill as it honestly sounded rather niche and situationally useful. Like I understood the whole knowledge is power thing but unlike Appraisal this skill was not going to actively help me making deals. I accepted it easily enough though as I was going to Hogwarts soon enough and would need to study to excel there. This skill would help me greatly in this regard so I couldn't be too upset about it. As for the Amulet of Articulation I was VERY familiar with it's effects and absolutely loved that I got it.-
{Item name: Amulet of articulation
Class: Treasure
Value: 4000 system coins
Condition: Perfect
Description: A specially enchanted amulet belonging to the thieves guild in the region of Skyrim in the Elder scrolls universe. Increases the wearers persuasiveness greatly and provides a minor protective area where it sits.}
In Skyrim where it originated the effect makes persuasion checks almost always succeed but as this was reality and not a video game it's much weaker effect was not unacceptable. I was thrilled to have the thing though as I had no doubt it's effect would see much use as a merchant needs to be persuasive to swind- I mean earn a righteous profit.
