Hajun was watching. His stomach twisted with anxiety. He gulped dryly. His eyes darted to the fallen that rolled over ever so slowly on the concrete. His breathing quickened.
His eyes darted back to Suho then back at the rod. He was struggling and thrashing to let him go.
"Now what, little hero?"
Before his mind could register he marched and picking the rod and was about to slam the rod against the bald man's head when he halted as the rod was snatched from him.
"You fuck…" the man with the sigil who was previously knocked out by Suho gritted his bloodied teeth before landing his hand against Hajun's cheeks.
Smack!
The sound rang in Suho's ears as Hajun crashed on the floor. His lips tearing a little and red prints on his face.
Suho screamed and bit on the bald man's hand harshly. Ahh! The man screamed in pain and shoved Suho away. Suho quickly got up and was about to run to Hajun but was again caught by the bald man again. "Not so fast, brat."
Before Suho could scream, the man with sigil dragged Hajun across the floor. His eyes locked with Hajun's terrified ones. Suho's chest tightened, eyes wide with horror. No...
"Let him go! I said let him go!" Suho's voice cracked, desperation lacing his voice. His eyes burning red.
The bald man holding Suho snickered and struck him across his face. Suho snapped to side, tears falling from his eyes. The man clutched Suho's hair forcing his gaze up towards him.
"I really hate bitches like you," the bald man spat, slapping him again. And again.
Suho's body crashed to the ground, blood streaming from his nose and lips. Red prints staining his pale skin. His body shook violently, too weak to rise.
The bald man crouched, grabbing Suho's chin harshly. "Hah… you're a pretty one. A feisty little bitch, huh." Straightening, he called out, "Boss, this one's too pretty to waste. How about we take him too?"
The scarred man smirked, shrugging. "Do what you want. My only concern is the money."
The bald man grinned wickedly. "Now we can have some fun. If not for this brat interrupting us, we would have already be done with it."
"Yeah," the man with snickered, circling Hajun with others. Hajun was trapped between them. Even Suho couldn't help him. "But, don't worry boy, your turn is next."
Hajun shook his head frantically, crawling back. "No… don't come closer."
The bald man yanked Suho's arm, forcing him to watch. "Open your eyes, bitch. After this, it's your turn."
"Not so fast, brat." The red rose man gripped Hajun's leg, dragging across the ground. Hajun struggled, punching weakly at the men, but they only laughed.
Suho's throat burned as he screamed. "No! Let him go! I will kill all of you, bastards." He struggled and thrashed throwing his legs and arms everywhere, hitting the bald man, but it was useless. The man was too strong for Suho. "Why... why are you doing this?"
His vision blurred, chest moving up and down with ragged burst of breaths. "He's a human too. Why are you doing this to him?"
The all just chuckled. They were cruel. They were monsters.None of them had remorse. They were enjoying this. Destroying a life meant nothing to them. For them, it was entertainment. They find joy in hurting others. It was too much for little Suho.
Suho was losing consciousness. His body was weakening and taking shallow breaths. Everything was spinning.
Suho was losing his mind. Suddenly, something appeared before his eyes. With blurred vision, he saw it. He saw the ball of lightning. It thundered with rage. Small fragments of blue lightning flickered from it and gathered together at the centre. Suho raised his hand to reach it. Closer. I need to get closer.
The minute his hand touched the fragment of lightning, everything shifted. His body rigid, pupils rolled back. Blood welled in his eyes, streaming down his face.
His body convulsed violently. His fingers twisted, his chest heaving. Suho's eyes somehow landed back to Hajun. I will save you at all cost.
The bald man froze. "H-Hey… what the—?"
…
The string keeping his sanity, snapped.
For a moment, everything was silent. He couldn't hear anything. With a deafening crack, a surge of mana burst from him… blue lightning violently shook everything.
The rooftop exploded, debris falling as everyone staggered and crouched down covering their head. The bald man collapsed, electrocuted to death, black smoke flickered out.
"The fuck is happening?"
In the middle of chaos, Suho stood, eyes glowing blue. Strands of hair flickering with currents had turned silver at the edges. Lightning flickered out of his body turning everything blue.
A thin, glowing line of blue current twinkled across his left cheek. He touched it, rubbing it softly.
The suited men cursed under their breath, terror decorating their faces.
"He's gone berserk—!" one shouted.
"Impossible! He's just a kid! He's not even old enough to awaken!"
Suho eyes glared at them, his voice low and guttural. "I told you… I told you to let him go."
The scarred man lifted his hands nervously. "H-Hey, calm down. Why are you so serious over this?!"
But Suho didn't listen. Madness had taken over him. Lightning thundered with all its might around him. With a flick of his hand, a torrent of blue current flickered forward, striking the scarred man. His screams tore through the air as lightning electrocuted his body. He fell limp, smoking on the concrete.
The others stepped back in terror.
"Fuck… kill him before he kills us!" shouted a man with a sigil tattoo, drawing on forbidden magic.
"You idiot! Magic is banned!" another barked.
"Do you think I care about that now?!" The man raised a dagger of mana, only to be struck down instantly, his body charred black.
The remaining darted for the exit, but the garage door slammed shut with a metallic clang.
"You filthy bastards," Suho snarled, his voice echoing unnaturally. "With no remorse for your sins… Innocents suffer while you trample their dignity and honour for your amusement. It's time to face the consequences of your deeds."
Mana thundered violently. The ground trembled. Lightning surged from Suho's body taking a shape of colossal dragon of blue lightning. It roared before launching itself forward with destructive force.
"Look at your pathetic selves. Terror craving your face. Scared?" Suho voice raised, menacingly.
"Those you trampled on must be scared, begging for their lives. But did you filthy bastards listen to their cries."
"No, you didn't. In fact, all of you enjoyed their pain."Screams filled the air along the roar of the dragon. Dragon's roar tore through every single one of them getting the taste of rage. "None of you stopped. So, why should I?"
Suho wasn't in his mind. And yet, not a single flicker of current touched Hajun.
Even in his berserk state, he was shielding Hajun.
Hajun's body trembled as he tried to rise. Tears blurred his vision. He saw them, every man dead. Killed by this boy. Someone he didn't knew. Someone who risked his life protecting him. His saviour.
Suho stepped forward, glowing eyes softening as he looked at Hajun. His lightning flickered faintly as the dragon disappear slowly, his breaths uneven. Slowly, he extended his hand.
Hajun stared at it, dazed, before finally grasping it.
Suho pulled him up, steadying him with an arm around his waist. Hajun leaned weakly against him, wrapping his arm around Suho's shoulder for balance.
"Let's go…" Suho's voice was hoarse, his lightning subsiding as the glow faded from his eyes.
Together, limping, they walked out of the ruined garage.
