Chapter 16 - Negotiation

By shooting Dahood in the chest with his Mossberg s90a1, Simon managed to defeat him. The bullet sent Dahood flying ten meters away, but Simon's vest and powers allowed him to survive.

Dante still won't give Tom to Simon after his victory over Dahood in the match to determine who would take him because, in his opinion, a meaningless match has no bearing on the fate of his people.

The following outburst from Misa: "That's cowardly behavior. You are not standing on your words."

"I see that you're worried about your friend, but we need Tom for our negotiations with the government. We won't harm anyone—we've been victims before," Dante tries to reassure them, assuring them that they will never harm Tom, but rather that he is necessary for their negotiations.

To which Dante responded, "Why him? Why not another person, like a president or governor?" Misa inquired.

"Governors, presidents, senators, prime ministers—everyone can be replaced, but people like Tom cannot. He is one of the most important people in the government; the government will do anything to bring him back," Dante answered.

"You said one of the?" What if we bring some other important person?" Jimmy asked.

The person who killed Metalman was Gerry, Tom's partner. Though it's practically impossible, why not bring Gerry if you can? "You guys can take your friend," Dante says, offering them a deal to return to Tom.

"Isn't Jerry a cartoon mouse?" Amane murmured to Misa.

Surprised, Misa looked at her, unable to believe that she is laughing off her brother's trade. She was asking seriously, though; she wasn't joking.

"He was gay, Tom," the realist stated.

"He was his comrade, assh*le," Misa said angrily.

In response to Realist's question about where Gerry might be, Dante advised him to visit the imperial residence.

Wondering, "And where is the imperial residence?" realists posed the question.

He is the son of the imperial family, as Dante revealed, and the imperial residence is in Tokyo.

At this moment they knew that they were f*cked.

In a meeting with his companions, Realist laid out their options: join the superhero resistance force or rebel against the government.

If they defy the government, Simon warned, they would be labeled a global terrorist. Going against the government is like going against the entire world. Therefore, it is preferable to go up against the 300 soldiers.

Based on her belief, Amane proposed that they approach the government with a thorough account of what transpired, explaining what happened and why the realist should be removed from the wanted list. This would ensure that the government would assist them.

The realist asked Dante, "Are you giving me your word on that?" "We'll bring you, Gerry, and you'll let Tom go."

"I assure you, if you bring Gerry, we will release Tom without hesitation," Dante promised the realist.

They departed from the resistance home and headed for the Tokyo station.

****On the way, Realist asked Jimmy***

"Jimmy, I thought you were born into a noble family in Japan, weren't you?"

"Well, I guess you could say that," Jimmy responded.

Jimmy was advised by realists to accompany Amane to the imperial family residence to collect a marriage proposal from Gerry.

"What did you say? You think I'm a wh*re or something? That's my third time acting like I'm getting married," Misa remarked.

Realists questioned, "Who was the first?"

"You! "Assh*le," Misa answered.

What? The realist then inquired curiously, "Who's the second?"

"The clown, duh," said Misa.

"Oops!" the realist grinned. "Excuse me, were you really implying that?"

"Indeed, I was, Misa replied.

You weren't, I assure you. "What were you saying? I'm going to marry my handsome husband. Oh my god," the realist provoked Misa.

"You are an idiot, and from this point on, I will not be doing anything," Misa remarked.

"I was just kidding; it was all in good fun," the realist stated plainly.

"Stop romancing in front of the kids, n*gga, don't you have a little bit of dignity?" Simon said.

"Quiet down, you coal," Misa remarked.

"Who is Cole?" Simon inquired.

"That black mineral thing called coal," Amanée remarked.

"So now you like him too, my friend? Why are you all so racist? OMG," Simon exclaimed in frustration.

"I am not racist," Jimmy stated.

"I understand," Simon corrected, "but hold on a second. I never considered this before, but if you're Japanese, what's your name?"

"Well, my name isn't Jimmy," Jamie clarified.

Misa was taken aback, and she asked, "What is your name?"

"Hi, I'm Junichi Shimizu, and Jimmy is an evolved version of jumi."

They all o'ed simultaneously, ugh.

They all get on the bus to Tokyo, with Jimmy and Amare sitting side by side.

In a conversation between the realist and Misa, he revealed to Misa, "Jimmy has a crush on Amane, as you would guess by now."

Unexpectedly, Misa blurts out, "Yeah, wait, whaaaat? He has a crush on her." Unfortunately, they are seated far away from Jimmy and Amane, so they might not hear her.

"When, how"

Realist said, "I don't know, but can't you see?"

"Even the retards who pick up their phones and read novels on a f*cking phone might have guessed it by now."

"What? Oh, I see. It's your disease, being retarded. But I'm not interested in hearing what you have to say next, Mr. Realist." Misa closed her eyes to show her disinterest.

"I mean, who in their right mind would read a two-dude-f*cking novel? Definitely some forty-five-year-old weighing five hundred pounds living with three cats 'would read those sh*tty stories on a f*cking smartphone in the middle of the day." Realist whispers to Misa.

"Shut the f*ck up," Misa advised the realist.

"Miss Amane, you are very skilled in combat, aren't you?" Jimmy nervously asked.

"I am a super-soldier; I have an artificial backbone with artificial tendons; it makes me very fast," Amane said.

On the other hand, Jimmy wanted to know if Gerry was stronger than she.

Amane responded, "My brother didn't tell me much about him, but rumor has it that he absorbed all the metal from the metalman—bones, eyes, teeth, and whatever else he carries around beneath his skin—with the exception of his face."

"Don't worry, I can outrun him if things go wrong, hahaha, so it will be fine."

"F*ck all of you n*ggas. I think I am the only single n*gga. F*ck this, I am going to sleep," Simon sighs. "The f*ck are you staring at, n*gga? Never seen a Black dude?" he said to an old man staring at him.

"Damn n*gga, can't share emotions with God in peace"

They arrived at the imperial residence, where the realist informed them that Jimmy and Amane are in a relationship and that Misa is your sister. He offered them the photo he had taken of Misa and would show it to them if they politely requested.

They both went inside the house and announced their desire to meet Gerry.

They were instructed to wait in the guestroom by the servant. While they waited, they could hear what sounded like someone walking in iron shoes.

They first laid eyes on Gerry, a man of six feet four inches, adorned with tattoos all over his body, verdant hair, and golden teeth.

In an instant, Amane turned to Jimmy and exclaimed, "Misa would never say that."

He bowed slightly and said, "I know who you are" as he sauntered over to them, a smile gracing his face the whole way.
