Within a courtyard,
"Young master Li, It's time to visit your lord grandfather" an old man wearing a butler uniform spoke gently.
"Oh-Hu. Yes coming" rang out a young pure voice in response to the butler's statement. At this moment one can see there were almost ten children gathered, among them one child had a mischievous smile on his face. Although dressed in nobility his clothes were rolled up in dust. This six year old youngster is the young master of Li household. Without any further words he ran towards butler Peng.
"Oh dear, you need to change your clothes before you meet the patriarch young lord. Please hasten this way." With that the butler and youngster duo departed from the scene.
After little Li left the scene rest of the children finally heaved a sigh of relief. On their bodies there were superficial bruises and wounds. Among the nine present children, one of the youngest spoke out questioningly "Brother Meng, why does young master Li bullies us so much? You are so powerful compared to him yet you tolerate his every action without rebelling" after saying such he gave an angry glare towards the child name Meng. Another one chimed in and added "That's right brother Meng. You even have friends who are already adults yet you let him do whatever he pleases. You are a bully too!" Meng is one of the children who are nearing adulthood, as such he was considered to be their leader. Both Meng and other older children stared at these ignorant fools. Li household is their lord for fuck sake and these pitiful childrens want to beat up their young master in his own courtyard? Yeah right. In their dreams. At this moment the child named Meng spoke up "Listen up you brats, young master Li has no one to play with at this manor. He is just a child like us, even though he beats us sometimes he isn't unreasonable." Another older child spoke up "Exactly! As long as we work according to his wishes he buys us foods and clothes. Hell he even buys them for our family you ungrateful fools!" With that the childrens slowly dispersed from courtyard and went to their home.
While these commoners were busy discussing if young Li was a bully or not Young Li changed his clothes and went to Li family's main hall. A butler and a neatly dressed child with slick back hair walked in the already filled hall. After general greetings young Li sat on a seat beside his father. The moment he sat down he could feel ominous gazes fixed at him. There were quite a few members from the Li household who bore mocking expressions and disgusted looks towards young Li. Social pressures as such were nothing new to young Li but everytime it happened he couldn't help but feel anxious. His back was drenched with cold sweats. At this moment a beautiful woman from beside spoke in a quiet voice "Li Shihou, you are my brave boy right? Don't think about them. Father and mother are here." Young Li looked beside at his mother. This beautiful woman who's bearing resembles a calm, surreal jade peak is in fact little Li's mother. Deep down little Li's mother felt guilty for being the reason of her child's misery. They married each other while away from home, without the consent of family leaders. This caused the family elders to have a negative relation with Li Shihou's parents.
Before young Li could feel the entire warmth of his mother everyone stood up in response to Li patriarch's arrival. If anyone looked at Li patriarch they would notice the sword hanging in his waist at first. The sheath was crafted so finely that the craftsman must have been a master level at least. It was Li family's pride and most precious treasure. The sword "Wind Extinguisher" was a heirloom passed down from first generation patriarch. The physique of Li patriarch might receive some attention after this treasure as they were well defined.
After nodding back at everyone's greetings Li Qian took his seat at main hall. With that the family meeting proceeded. As the meeting was nearing it's end Li Qian stared at little Li before speaking out "You carry my blood within you child. I hope you'll bring glory for the family. This is a basic breathing exercise passed down to main family descendants. Practice well" with that butler Peng passed down a scroll to little Li. Seeing a slightly red parchment paper young Li had a big grin on his face. With this he could finally start practicing his path towards immortality. The mere idea excited him so much that he can't wait for family meeting to end. After some more discussion about territorial matters the official meeting finally came to an end.
Just as Li Qian was about to declare the end of this year's annual meeting guards declared arrival of Li Wei. Li Wei is the second child of Li Qian and Li shihou's second uncle. He is a handsome tall man with sharp features, brimmed with overbearing aura. Li Qian has five childrens. His first son is an alcoholic who wastes his time at pleasure pavilions. His second son is handsome Li Wei while Li Shihao's father is the youngest. Other than them Li Qian has two daughters who are married at well known families.
Seeing Li Wei, Li Shihou's father Li Ren showed signs of anger. Li Wei's ambitious and cunning approach to even at his own family made Li Ren dislike his older brother. According to him family is the purest bond that shouldn't be tainted with such things.
Not regarding the various expressions of everyone present Li Wei walked forward to Li patriarch.
