I've got him. The cocky brat Alwyn is finally in the palm of my hand! So much for being the legendary prodigy!
"That's right, Everflame. Come meet us at this factory and you can get your little apprentices back. After you've done what we ask, that is," I said.
"And Aliza?"
"Oh, I'm afraid she's going to die regardle—"
I couldn't even react before my head was rolling on the ground. I hadn't realized my head had been severed until I saw my own body standing above me. That useless idiot-witch Jezebel immediately gave up and started to beg for her life.
That weak-minded bitch! Damn it, it's over! Fuck... I have to pretend to be dead like a filthy animal to avoid being turned to dust!
I watched Alwyn and his party's cute little reunion. The little apprentice girl kicked my head across the floor into the corner like I was nothing more than a ball. It was the most humiliating moment in my entire life.
Finally, they're leaving!
After they finally closed the door, I picked my head up off the ground and reattached it to my neck. Though I'd technically lost to Alwyn, I won in the sense that the fool truly believed he killed me. Alwyn may not know what I was, but if he'd decapitated me in person he certainly would've realized something was amiss.
Quite simply, I, Amon de Clare, was no longer human. Whilst I was doing important research in the tower, I transfigured myself into a living homunculus. It had never been done before, and very few knew of it. Not even Alwyn himself.
Ah, feels good to be whole again... they took all the brooms!? Inconsiderate...
I then left for the tower. I'd have to report everything that had happened.
Who knew Alwyn and Aliza would be working together once again? I thought that ship sailed—and sunk—three years ago.
