Hearing Yato's words of concern, Uzumaki Mito felt an inexplicable warmth in her heart.
If her grandson were still alive, he'd probably be just as likable as Uchiha Yato.
But just as she was thinking this, Yato started spouting nonsense again.
"Still, no need to worry. With the Quick-Acting Heart-Saving Pill I prepared for you, I guarantee it'll save your life."
And just like that, the tiny bit of warmth she'd felt vanished into thin air.
Uzumaki Mito sighed. "Seeing those infant corpses… my heart ached for no reason."
"Children from ninja clans at least have it better—they'd never end up in such a state."

As expected, such things were especially heartbreaking for female ninjas.
Tsunade had seen those photos earlier and immediately slapped Danzo twice while he was still under the illusion.
Then she rushed to the mass grave to bury the infants properly.

Departing the Senju Clan Grounds, Uchiha Yato immediately headed to Orochimaru's place to "borrow" some resources.
That's right - he intended to "plagiarize" the Wood Style research progress.
Without beating around the bush, Yato directly told Orochimaru:
"I'm here to steal your wisdom!"
Even Orochimaru was momentarily speechless at such shamelessness.
"No pretense at all, huh?"
This comment actually came from Jiraiya.
Since the Wood Style experiments gained official recognition, Jiraiya had started visiting Orochimaru more frequently.
Let's be honest - it was mainly to see Tsunade.
Yato said, "My Uncle Snake loves my straightforward personality."
"What can I say? I'm just naturally likable!"
Jiraiya didn't argue, being quite familiar with Yato's antics.
After brief pleasantries, he settled nearby to continue his writing.
Yato teased, "Aren't you afraid Tsunade might see you?"
"And give you a Dragon Uppercut special?"
Jiraiya boasted, "Why fear? I'm a pillar of masculinity!"
The main reason was Tsunade's current exhaustion - managing Leaf Hospital while handling the infant pit incident left her no energy.
She'd skipped two Wood Style experiment summons from Orochimaru already.
This explained Jiraiya's boldness in openly writing his "research materials" here.
Orochimaru interjected, "You should contribute your body too. We've hit a minor research bottleneck."
After hearing the details, Yato understood:
Preliminary confirmation showed Tsunade's body could potentially synthesize Wood Style.
Yato shared this potential, while Jiraiya and Orochimaru's attempts proved less effective.
Yato suggested, "Shimura Danzo should be sentenced to death soon. His body making scientific contributions wouldn't be excessive, right?"
This immediately piqued Orochimaru's interest.
Danzo's previously transplanted Hashirama cells were the deactivated, unusable type.
This presented an alternative research angle that greatly intrigued Orochimaru.
With dark humor, Orochimaru remarked, "How cruel - denying him peace even in death, harvesting him for experiments."
Admittedly, prolonged exposure to Yato had softened Orochimaru's originally more malicious personality.
Yato countered, "Don't phrase it like that. This is voluntary scientific contribution. He's a willing participant."After providing Orochimaru with some body cells and incidentally funding an additional 5 million for his experiments, Uchiha Yato left Orochimaru's laboratory.

Three days passed in the blink of an eye.
Today, Shimura Danzo was the star of the show—his execution in the marketplace.
Uchiha Yato had specially arranged the scene to resemble an ancient execution platform.
Upon seeing this setup, Shimura Danzo predictably began hurling wild accusations.
"Damn you, Sarutobi Hiruzen! You won't die well! I took the fall for you..."
"Orochimaru! You betrayed me at the last moment—don't you care about your experiments anymore?!"
"Koharu Utatane! You embezzled funds from the materials department and pinned it on me!"
"Homura Mitokado! You stole Tsunade's medical equipment and blamed me for it!"
"Shimura Clan Head! How dare you make me shoulder your dirty accounts—where's your conscience?!"
Having already been mentally prepared by Uchiha Yato, and with both the village leadership and the Uchiha Clan united in demanding his death, Danzo's fate was sealed.
After his outburst, Uchiha Yato, feeling a twinge of pity, allowed him to sink deeper into the illusion.
For such a thrilling moment—the execution of Shimura Danzo—Uchiha Yato naturally took on the role of executioner himself.
As the murderer met his end, the first to shed tears was the clan elder.
His daughter, Uchiha Michiko's vengeance, had finally been served.
Uchiha Yato then explained, "We've also established another policy in Shimura Danzo's name."

"All those who commit grave offenses against the Hidden Leaf Village will be nailed to this pillar, cursed by future generations."
This declaration sent a collective chill down the spines of everyone present, whether clan shinobi or civilian ninja.
Everyone wishes to leave behind a good name.
Uchiha Yato's move ensured that Shimura Danzo would forever be remembered with disgrace—tainting even the reputation of the Shimura Clan.
But given the current momentum, the Shimura Clan had no room to negotiate. Anyone who dared oppose would be branded an enemy of the entire Hidden Leaf.
To emphasize the grandeur of the moment, Uchiha Yato summoned his Susanoo, wielding its massive blade—a divine weapon he claimed to have "found in the Naka River" to his clan, while telling the Hokage it was a long-held family relic.
Truthfully, the sword-wielding Susanoo exuded an even more domineering aura.
Though it might have been overkill—like using a cannon to swat a fly—the sheer intimidation was meant as a warning to all would-be traitors.
And so, the judgment blade descended slowly...
Marking the end of Shimura Danzo's life.
At this moment, no one spoke. They all knew—it was over.
Sarutobi Hiruzen's heart was heavy with mixed emotions.
His old friend, who had once stood by him to protect the Hidden Leaf, had fallen into darkness—only to meet such an end.
Meanwhile, Uchiha Yato felt nothing but satisfaction.
He had fulfilled his promise to avenge his aunt and demonstrated the Uchiha Clan's transformation.
But just then—an unexpected turn of events...
