Chapter 92 - Chapter 92: The Dark Sengoku Returns to the Sabaody Archipelago!

Creed frowned at Sengoku. Could this be a trap?

He knew well the Marshal's scheming nature. During the elite training camp, Sengoku had deliberately arranged his opponent to be a Major.

"Marshal, you're not setting me up again, are you?" Creed asked bluntly.

Sengoku froze for a moment. "Of course not. This is your first command. The three of us have high hopes for you. Don't let us down as we build a new navy branch."

"Exactly," Zephyr added. "Do well out there, boy. If you tarnish my name, you'd better be ready for me to come after you."

"Creed, make sure you accomplish something in the New World," Zephyr pressed.

Looking at the three men grinning at him, Creed's mouth twitched. No matter how he looked at it, their smiles seemed full of schadenfreude.

Something wasn't right. Were they arranging him into another setup? Sengoku, maybe, but Zephyr wasn't the type…

After thinking for a while, Creed didn't refuse. So be it. Since it had come to this, he might as well accept it. A new branch was actually a good thing.

If he had been parachuted into an existing one, managing it would have been difficult. Starting from scratch was easier.

After chatting for some time, Creed received a map of the New World's power structure from Sengoku and left the office. His men awaited him at the Sabaody Archipelago, where he would depart in the morning.

After Creed left—

"Let's hope the brat can keep that fat cat in line," Sengoku muttered with a smirk, crossing one leg over the other. "That one's not an easy handful."

The Marshal had racked his brain over where to assign Creed. The boy was too prone to stirring up chaos. The Grand Line was too small for him. Marine Headquarters couldn't keep him either. That left only the New World.

But with only G-5 stationed there, parachuting him in would never work. So Sengoku had founded a new branch—problem solved, headaches gone. Two birds with one stone.

If Creed wanted to cause trouble, let him do it in the New World. Maybe he could even establish the navy's foothold there, where their control was nearly zero.

That evening, there was nothing else to do.

Behind Marine Headquarters, deep in the mountains, Zephyr, Ain, and Creed sat roasting meat, bottles of sake scattered at their feet.

"Gya gya gya~!"

Falkor gulped down wine, squealing happily. At first, it had only been curious about the drink, but after one sip, it had found heaven. Soon it was tipsy, wings flapping erratically, squealing for more, stumbling around in search of alcohol.

Creed saw a small wooden keg beside Zephyr. Falkor swayed over, pushing its snout toward him. "Gya~."

"Hahaha! Creed, this pet of yours is a riot," Zephyr laughed, pulling the keg away. "No, you can't have any."

Falkor screeched, furious at being denied. Lightning sparked across its body, a sudden arc zapping Zephyr head to toe, leaving his hair standing on end. The keg fell from his hands.

The little dragon snorted, wobbling drunkenly as it dove headfirst into the keg, wings twitching. Soon, its whole body slipped in, leaving only its tail sticking out.

"Cute, but dangerous," Zephyr muttered, still slurring from the shock. "Even drunk, it has this much power? Remarkable."

"Did you feed it a Devil Fruit?" Garp asked.

"Nope. It was born with it," Creed replied.

The two veterans clicked their tongues. In their long years at sea, they had seen countless strange things, but this still impressed them.

Creed sighed, hoisting the drunken Falkor out of the barrel.

"Ain, I'll leave it with you," Zephyr said.

"Y-yes!" Ain blushed, feeling a bit thrilled. Was this… meeting the parents?

By morning, Creed looked down at Zephyr and Garp, both snoring like dead pigs.

"Let's go," he told Ain.

"You're not going to wake them?"

"No need."

Carrying Falkor over his shoulder, Creed walked away with her.

"Not sending the brat off?" Zephyr cracked one eye open.

"Send you instead," Garp grumbled, rolling over.

"Fine by me."

And they both went back to sleep.

At the port, Creed and Ain boarded a small warship and left Marine Headquarters behind.

The sea breeze washed over them. Creed looked out at the endless ocean, a smile tugging at his lips.

The grand New World—

I'm coming!

They traveled quickly, not dawdling along the way. In less than a day, they reached the Sabaody Archipelago.

As their ship pulled into the navy port, Creed and Ain disembarked.

From afar, someone spotted him and recoiled in shock.

"T-that man… he's back."

"Who?"

"The one who cut down the Supernova pirates. The one who killed the Iron-Arm Madman. The one who defeated Crocodile. The one who annihilated the 'Marine Hunter' Pirates. The navy's youngest Rear Admiral—Creed!!"
