Suddenly.
Swoosh~!
The air was torn apart, emitting a sharp explosive sound as a fierce sword aura slashed through, carving a deep trench between Creed and Akainu, separating the two.
Creed and Akainu froze.
They looked over and saw, not far away, a woman who had appeared without them noticing. She had a tall figure, long and slender legs without a trace of excess fat, wearing short red gauzy shorts.
Her jet-black hair was tied up at the back with a small wooden hairpin, and every movement carried a unique mature charm.
"Enough, Creed, Sakazuki, stop now!"
She gazed at Creed and Akainu, her tone firm yet carrying a hint of softness—soft, yet with a trace of allure, like a willow swaying in the wind or a gentle stream flowing under a small bridge—mild but not without strength. Though firm, her voice made no one feel displeased.
In the distance, the other Marines immediately saluted upon seeing her.
Marine Headquarters Vice Admiral—Momousagi!!
And she was also a candidate for admiral. Though she didn't yet hold the admiral's title, she carried the same code name style: a color combined with an animal.
Her strength was not to be underestimated.
Moreover, Momousagi was known as one of the most beautiful women in the Marines.
If Ain was like the pure, unadorned beauty of a lotus blooming in clear water, then Momousagi was the beauty of maturity fully in bloom.
A true onee-san.
If it had to be described: not too soft, not too seductive—too much softness would be weak, too much allure would be excessive. She carried a calm, composed smile that exuded elegance without losing steadiness.
"Momousagi, what are you doing here?" Akainu asked.
"I came to handle the Crocodile matter. Sakazuki, return to Marineford first."
With Momousagi present, there would be no fight. The battle came to an end.
Akainu gave Creed a cold glare, snorted, and said, "This time, you win."
With that, he turned and left.
Creed watched his back, his eyes narrowing slightly. Truly worthy of being an admiral—his strength was frightening. Creed could feel his arm still throbbing in pain. If the battle had gone on, he wouldn't have been able to hold out much longer.
A cold gleam flickered in his eyes. Akainu, this debt will be repaid in the future!
"Are you alright, Creed?"
Momousagi walked over, gazing at Creed with a wry smile. "Fleet Admiral Sengoku knew Sakazuki's temper and suspected he might clash with you, so he sent me here."
"I'm fine." Creed shook his head.
At that moment, Ain also walked over. She looked at Momousagi with both admiration and excitement. Momousagi was the idol of all female Marines, a woman who forced her way to the position of admiral candidate.
She then turned her excited gaze on Creed—this was Vice Admiral Garp's grandson. In less than two months away from Marineford, he had caused one incident after another, now even shaking the seas as the new generation of the Navy.
She had also felt the aura Creed unleashed just now.
Looking at the handsome young man before her, her eyes carried genuine admiration. At such a young age, his talent was overwhelming.
As expected of Vice Admiral Garp's grandson. His gifts were extraordinary.
"Creed, why did you attack Crocodile?" Momousagi asked curiously.
Although it was Sengoku who had asked her to come, she was genuinely curious. By all logic, Creed had no reason to provoke a Warlord of the Sea, especially in his own territory.
Creed pondered for a moment. Naturally, he couldn't say it was because of the treasure chest, or that Crocodile fit his system's mission conditions. In the end, he simply said:
"I discovered Crocodile is hailed as a national hero in Alabasta, but his true aim is to seize control of the kingdom. For this, he was even plotting for Pluton."
"What?"
Momousagi's expression immediately shifted, her face turning grave. "The Ancient Weapon—Pluton!"
Her face showed utter shock. "Are you certain?"
"Absolutely."
She quickly pulled out a Den Den Mushi.
Before long, the Den Den Mushi projected the image of a man with glasses and a long beard—it was Sengoku.
Sengoku's voice came through the line: "Momousagi, have you met Creed and Sakazuki? They didn't start fighting, did they?"
"I met them, but when I arrived, they were already fighting. I stopped them."
"Good."
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, now isn't the time for that. There's something much more important."
Momousagi repeated Creed's words.
The other side fell into silence, and then Sengoku's voice roared with shock: "What?!!"
The Den Den Mushi's mouth opened wide as Sengoku's bellow came through.
His tone was grave, carrying both fury and killing intent. "Creed, what you said—is it true?"
"Yes. You should believe me."
"Momousagi, give me Crocodile's base coordinates. I'll contact King Cobra of Alabasta directly to confirm."
"Understood!"
Immediately, the Marines under Momousagi's command, including her female officers and soldiers, all began to mobilize.
Creed couldn't help but wonder—was Momousagi's crew entirely made up of female Marines?
The Marines truly lived up to their name. Their efficiency was terrifyingly high.
…
Three days later.
In the small town, Momousagi made her report to Sengoku.
At Marineford, inside the Fleet Admiral's office, Sengoku trembled as he listened to the findings from Crocodile's base. His fists clenched tightly, veins bulging on his forehead.
His chest heaved violently, like a powder keg ready to explode.
His aura burst forth uncontrollably—Sengoku was furious.
Raising his head, he spat the words through gritted teeth:
"Crocodile!!"
He never imagined that Crocodile would dare such a thing. To establish a heroic image among the people, while secretly working as a hidden hand to spark civil war.
Momousagi had uncovered Crocodile's plan. His methods were ruthless beyond belief.
After fully establishing himself as a national hero, he intended to secretly use Dance Powder.
This forbidden substance could summon rain, but afterward caused long droughts.
In a desert kingdom.
Once used…
The entire country would plunge into drought.
In the shadows, Crocodile would spread rumors, claiming King Cobra had used Dance Powder, bringing disaster upon the nation.
This would incite civil war, turning the people against their king.
The kingdom would be torn apart, its people suffering, while Crocodile seized control in secret.
An entire country would be plunged into ruin and death.
And the Navy would bear the blame—for failing to act, for allowing such tragedy to unfold.
Cobra was a World Noble by lineage, so Crocodile couldn't touch him directly nor leave evidence behind.
Thus, he planned to overthrow Cobra's rule by these means.
And all of it… was for the Ancient Weapon—Pluton!!
He had learned from Cobra that the reason Alabasta's royal family remained in the kingdom instead of moving to Mariejois was not only by choice—but also because a Poneglyph was hidden within Alabasta.
And that Poneglyph recorded the location of Pluton!
If Crocodile succeeded, the consequences would be unimaginable.
It was Creed who prevented this disaster—saving the Navy's honor.
"Guards!"
Sengoku shouted, and his aide quickly entered.
…
The next day.
The seas trembled once again.
