Hakuto furrowed her brows, releasing arrow after arrow with perfect aim — yet every shot missed. It was the first time since mastering archery that she'd failed to land a single hit. The figure in black ahead seemed to know her inside and out, dodging each attack with an eerily strange movement technique.
Even with the combined tracking of the Sharingan and Spirit Transformation Technique, she still couldn't land a hit.
This evasion method should have been physically impossible for a human body to perform. Could this person not be human at all, but some monster wearing a human disguise?
Realizing this, Hakuto decided not to hold back any longer. A transparent arrow rested on her bowstring as light from heaven and earth converged at its tip. Ripples spiraled through the air in front of the arrow, locking tightly onto the figure before her.
Just as she was about to release the shot, a voice echoed inside Hakuto's mind: "Is it really worth doing this to me just because I nearly killed someone who has absolutely no blood relation to you?"
As soon as these words were spoken, Hakuto trembled all over.
Sasuke's first sentence left Anya puzzled, prompting him to curiously ask, "What does that mean?"
Sasuke replied tonelessly, "He says... he's your child."
"What?" Anya furrowed his brows, instinctively retorting, "That's impossible. How old is he anyway?"
Looking unusually mocking, Sasuke sarcastically remarked, "Don't you even know whether you have kids out there or not?"
The implication was clear — accusing Anya of carelessly fooling around with women.
"Hey," Anya snapped. "It was your mother who asked me to revive the Uchiha Clan. Now that you're back, this important responsibility falls on you too. Talk to me properly, or else tomorrow you'll marry Xiulin and start producing offspring."
Gotcha now...
Sure enough, upon hearing this, Sasuke immediately backed down and quickly responded, "About my age."
If he was around Sasuke's age, then he must have been born after the Third Battle ended. Anya relaxed slightly, initially suspecting Tsunade might have given birth to twins and abandoned one. But now it seemed he was just another lying bastard. Back then, during the period shortly after the Third Battle, the person Anya interacted with most was Orochimaru. They hadn't even touched other women, much less done anything more intimate. So could it possibly be Orochimaru's doing...?
Come to think of it, maybe it wasn't so impossible after all...
A chill ran through Anya as he suddenly stood up uneasily, his expression shifting wildly while recalling past events.
During the Third Battle, he had provided large amounts of blood for Orochimaru's purposes. When visiting Orochimaru's secret base for Wood Release experiments, there was a particularly hidden laboratory strictly off-limits to anyone.
Additionally, Orochimaru once mentioned that Sasuke wasn't even his greatest creation. Recently, during a visit to Orochimaru's Northern Stronghold, Anya recalled seeing a shadowy figure whose presence caused his heart to skip a beat momentarily. One memory after another flashed through his mind like slides being projected.
A bitter smile tugged at Anya's lips. He already had a rough idea of the truth. Gritting his teeth, he muttered, "Damn it, Uncle... You really stuck me with a hell of a problem."
Although her arrow remained drawn and ready, after hearing these words, Hakuto just couldn't pull the trigger. Given that Anya was such a father who had already brought her several stepmothers, how could she possibly know whether there were even more illegitimate children out there?
Lowering her bow, Hakuto asked, "Then tell me, exactly who are you?"
"Your younger brother."
"I don't believe it."
Instinctively, Hakuto felt something was off.
"Heh, then let me show you."
The man in black removed the mask covering his face, revealing features nearly identical to Anya's. His eyes clearly bore the Three-Tomoe Sharingan, though a sinister smile curled at his lips, adding an eerie charm.
Hakuto froze in shock. No words were needed—the face said it all. But...
"Who is your mother?"
Rather than answering directly, he said, "Sister, you really are Father's firstborn—even more perfect than me, it seems. However, I'll prove to all of you that I am his most outstanding child."
After saying this, the cloaked man vanished before Hakuto's very eyes.
Hakuto stood there for quite a while. After picturing a tragic drama in her head, she couldn't wait any longer. She released the Moon-in-the-Well Seal on her forehead and activated her Rinnegan: Yomiotsutsuki Teleportation.
A black portal appeared, and Hakuto dove straight inside.
When she reappeared, she immediately sensed Anya's presence. Furious, she barged into the room and questioned, "Did you go find yourself another lover again?"
Has the Samiu affair already been exposed?
Anya flinched slightly but nodded in admission anyway.
"Hmph, just as I thought. Dad, you really are a playboy," Hakuto couldn't help but comment. "But still, you shouldn't abandon them."
"Abandon?" Anya started to argue back. "I never abandoned any woman of mine."
Hakuto instantly shot back, "Then what about that sudden appearance of a new 'brother'? From what I remember, I only have Bai as one."
So *that*'s what she meant.
Anya sighed deeply and responded, "About this child—I wasn't aware of him beforehand."
Upon hearing these words, Sasuke beside them couldn't help muttering under his breath, "Playboy."
"All right, I'll explain everything clearly to you both." Thinking it over, Anya decided to come clean. "During the Third Battle, I collaborated with Orochimaru on several experiments. At one point, I requested his assistance, and in return, I provided him my own blood. I suspect this child likely resulted from artificial creation using cells extracted from my blood. These are merely guesses, but it must've been something like that."
"So he doesn't actually have a mother? Wait, that doesn't add up." Suddenly realizing something, curiosity burned brightly in Hakuto's eyes. "Then why did you admit earlier to having found another lover? Who is she?"
Annoyed, Anya snapped, "Hakuto, can't I keep anything private?"
"All right then, if you won't say, I'll go ask Auntie Tsunade."
You win, Anya surrendered. Instantly knocking Sasuke unconscious, he confessed truthfully, "You know her—the Fifth Raikage, Samiu."
"Fifth Raikage? Dad, you're amazing!"
"Thank you."
Pouting discontentedly, Hakuto asked, "What do we do about this artificial person then? I refuse to recognize him as my brother. Also, he told me he'd prove himself as your most outstanding child."
"Ahh, honestly, I'm troubled by that too."
Anya had already figured out every detail clearly in his mind.
At the beginning, there was no doubt that Orochimaru created this child to serve as his next reincarnation vessel. But for some unknown reason, he later gave up on it and turned his attention to Itachi and Sasuke instead. After two consecutive failures, Orochimaru seems to have accepted reality. He abandoned this plan long ago, retreating into the shadows and leaving the child behind.
Hakuto followed up, "Then why would he attack Sasuke?"
"My guess is that this kid carries not just my cells, but also Orochimaru's," Anya said helplessly. "Sasuke killed Orochimaru once—everyone knows that. It's only natural for him to seek revenge."
It clicked with Hakuto. "So he's your and Orochimaru's child."
