Chapter 382 - Chapter 382: Gift

Time passed gradually. The blades within Anya's Mangekyō ceased their rotation, his blood-red pupils slowly turning black once more. The dojutsu ended, and he let out a long breath. His Sage Art chakra—his life force—was nearly gone, and his body felt wave after wave of exhaustion. Fortunately, the intense pain in his eyes and mind had vanished completely, though his chakra reserves were heavily drained.

Tsunade silently examined her own body. After a long pause, she spoke with disbelief in her voice, "I actually... got a year younger. How is this possible? Your eyes... can actually control the Power of Time?"

Anya nodded. "Yes. My Mangekyō Sharingan is a time-based dojutsu. My left eye holds Eternity, which grants Time Stasis, while my right eye embodies Setsuna, allowing Time Acceleration. Using both together enables Time Reversal."

"But," Tsunade recovered from her excitement, her expression turning concerned, "from what I know, using the Mangekyō Sharingan usually comes at a great cost. Are you sure you're okay doing this...?"

"Don't worry," Anya smiled. "My body has been reconstructed—I've already severed the Restraint within my bloodline. Today's Mangekyō is no longer the incomplete half-technique it once was; now, it has become the perfected Mangekyō."

Indeed—perfect. That was how Anya defined his Mangekyō. Yet he wondered, how would it measure up against Madara Uchiha's Eternal one?

"Really?" Tsunade said joyfully. "Then give me some more!"

Anya shrugged helplessly. "None left."

Meeting her disbelieving look, Anya added, almost tearfully, "Not a single drop remains."

After repeated explanations from Anya, Tsunade finally understood. Although his Mangekyō had evolved into its perfected form, it wasn't limitless in usage. Once the dojutsu power was exhausted, it required time to replenish. Reversing her body by an entire year had completely drained his dojutsu power, and it would take at least two weeks to fully recover.

Only then did Tsunade realize just how incredible her man truly was. No wonder he seemed indifferent to many things—there probably wasn't anything in this world, aside from life and death itself, that could still trouble him.

All those worries she'd once carried gradually faded with Anya's arrival. Her mood inexplicably brightened, and instead of dwelling on his month-long absence, she affectionately asked, "Is your chakra nearly drained?"

"Huh?" Anya didn't catch on immediately.

Tsunade leaned close and whispered softly in his ear, "I built a small room inside my office. It has a bed inside—originally meant for resting when I get busy."

At this clear hint, Anya couldn't possibly misunderstand. Without another word, he suddenly stood up, scooped Tsunade into his arms, and strode toward the little room. With one kick, he flung the door open. Soon afterward, muffled sounds emerged from inside—sounds clearly unsuitable for children.

After a thoroughly satisfying battle, Tsunade lay lazily on the bed, her face flushed red. Even lifting a finger felt too tiring. She could only let out soft moans as Anya's hand kept wandering where it really shouldn't.

Her hoarse voice murmured, "Why… why does today feel different with you somehow?"

"That's right," Anya said. "I've mastered a new sage technique that lets me circulate all my Sage Chakra internally, merging it into a unified whole—my perfected Sage Mode. You can now consider me equal in strength to the Sage Slug." Anya had always been clear about her own power and never underestimated herself.

"No wonder you didn't absorb much of my chakra this time," Tsunade realized.

Anya gently turned Tsunade's body toward hers until they were face-to-face. With a soft expression, she said, "There's also something else I need to tell you... The reason I came back a bit later this time."

For once, Tsunade raised an eyebrow curiously. "What is it?"

Smiling mysteriously, Anya replied, "A gift—a present to celebrate your becoming Hokage."

"Really?" Tsunade sounded doubtful. "Didn't you always oppose me taking on this role as Hokage?"

"I used to think that way, yes," Anya shook her head. "But not anymore. I was wrong. I shouldn't clip your wings and keep you tied to my side. Instead, I should let you shine and do what you truly want to do. So, I promise—you'll love this gift."

Tsunade was touched and softly replied, "Okay... I'm really looking forward to it."

Once again, a flyer started spreading around Konoha village. It announced that the famous actress Fujikaze Yukie would perform live in a stage play within Konoha. Unlike film, this theatrical performance offered closer interaction with the audience. The play would recount the legendary life of the Fifth Hokage, portraying the struggles of ninja and how Konoha rose from the ashes of war—an absolute must-see.

As soon as the flyers were released, they were snatched up immediately, sparking massive excitement throughout the village. Tickets for the play became so highly sought after that their prices soared sky-high due to high demand.

At the request of many villagers, Tsunade issued orders repeatedly expanding the venue size until finally deciding to use the original Chunin main match arena as the performance site.

The one who started it all, Anya, arrived at a Ninja Tools Shop and stared intently at the shopkeeper without blinking, making him increasingly uneasy.

Eventually, Nian Nian sighed and chuckled nervously, "Alright, fine, I admit—I'm the one who distributed those flyers to other great nations. But hey, isn't this helping you achieve your goal of strengthening the Uchiha Clan?"

Anya laughed sarcastically, replying, "Then should I thank you for that?"

Nian Nian grinned shamelessly, "No thanks necessary, just doing my part."

Anya casually mentioned, "By the way, Tenten hasn't gone to Sunagakure Village and come back yet, has she?"

"Yeah, she sent word recently saying that Kazekage-sama really appreciates the three of them and requested they stay a little longer. Why—?" Suddenly realizing something might be off, Nian hesitated.

"Forget to mention—it turns out the current Kazekage calls himself Red Spider. He also goes by another name: Sasori. Yes, the very same Sasori you know." Anya continued calmly, "So naturally, Tenten can't come back yet. You just stay home patiently waiting to become a grandfather."

Without waiting for Nian's reaction, Anya, having successfully taken her revenge, left with a composed smile.

Plans for the play quickly moved forward. To make it feel authentic, it was time to find some ninja actors. Although many Jonin were away on missions, quite a few members of the Konoha Twelve still remained in the village—perfectly suited for this occasion.

After tracking down several people, Anya finally found out that Naruto had already been taken away by Jiraiya for training. It was probably better that way—Naruto's unpredictability might end up turning the stage play into a circus. The three students of Kurenai Yuhi had all politely accepted the invitation. Next were Hakuto and Sakura from Team 7.

Then came the Ino–Shika–Cho trio, where the real challenge lay. None of them showed much interest, especially Shikamaru, who kept going on about how everything was so damn troublesome. Choji was still recovering at home from serious injuries sustained during the last mission to find Sasuke. As for Ino, she had apparently been confined to her house for an unknown reason and wasn't allowed to go out.

Looks like I'll have to pay her a visit, Anya thought to herself, setting off toward Ino's house...
