Chapter 261 - Chapter 261: Myriad Phenomena

The stone tablet of the Uchiha Clan had always been exclusive to the clan head. Shisui, gifted with extraordinary talent, had gained Fugaku's favor and learned about this place, though he had never actually seen the tablet itself.

Shisui faced the six menacing blades before him. Finally, he sighed, sheathed his sword, and sat cross-legged. He decided to wait patiently for Anya to emerge.

The six blades retreated back into the basement.

Shisui's choice was wise. If he had truly pushed Anya to the edge, the consequences would have been dire. Anya had already expelled him from the squad, and her attitude toward him was no longer that of a former captain.

Anya shut her eyes to recharge her [Ocular Power]. Although the time spent deciphering the tablet hadn't been long, the amount of information had been immense—almost recounting the entire origin of the Ninja World, clearly pointing out the existence of Kaguya Otsutsuki.

As for this final boss from the canon, Anya wasn't particularly moved. No wonder her intelligence was laughable—despite possessing overwhelming power, she had been sealed twice by her juniors. It was hard for Anya to take her seriously.

If she were in Kaguya's place, Naruto and Sasuke wouldn't stand a chance. Even the Sage of Six Paths would have met the same fate.

After a brief rest, Anya opened her eyes again. This time, she directly activated her Mangekyo Sharingan.

The second portion of the stone tablet began to be deciphered. Surprisingly, the first thing revealed wasn't the Moon's Eye Plan, but rather a peculiar passage:

"To maintain balance, the deity divided Yin and Yang into two poles. Their mutual generation and restraint ultimately gave rise to [Senluowanxiang] (Myriad Phenomena)."

Taken literally, it meant the Sage of Six Paths had split his power into two halves—one eventually becoming the Senju Clan, the other the Uchiha Clan. The forces of these two clans existed in a relationship of mutual promotion and restraint. When united, they represented the power of [Senluowanxiang], capable of manifesting the appearance of all things in the world—omnipotent.

No wonder Madara and Hashirama had been so powerful back then… At their peak, each had fully utilized the power within their bloodlines. Even if their combined strength had not reached the realm of [Senluowanxiang], it had certainly come very close.

But how could one person alone obtain such power?

In the canon, both Naruto and Sasuke had received divine blessings from the Sage of Six Paths. Anya could hardly hope for such luck. Besides, regarding the existence of the Sage of Six Paths himself, Anya had always felt wary deep down. Even if the Sage dared to offer power, she wouldn't dare accept it.

Power granted without effort was never as real as that earned through hard training. It could disappear at any moment.

Anya had already seen the power of the Senju. Tsunade and Tobirama were both examples, though neither had ever fully displayed their abilities in front of her. As for the strongest of them all, Hashirama, there still might be a way to gauge his might. That Lab in Konoha was still ongoing.

In the briefest moment, Anya's thoughts raced quickly, and she continued deciphering the tablet. Yet no matter how much [Ocular Power] she poured in, the hidden portions behind simply refused to reveal themselves. It seemed this was as far as she could go for now.

Anya speculated that the remaining portions couldn't be deciphered by the Mangekyo Sharingan alone. They would likely require the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. In other words, only Madara could access the secrets of the Moon's Eye Plan. This was also part of Black Zetsu's scheme.

It seems Madara has completely lost hope in this world, believing in a world constructed entirely by genjutsu like the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Such a world is true despair, completely devoid of vitality—an option she would never choose.

Since the direction was already clear, deciphering the stone tablet had revealed enough. Anya turned and walked out from there.

Seeing Anya exit, Shisui, who had been sitting cross-legged, immediately stepped forward and called out, "Captain."

Anya showed no reaction. "I'm no longer your captain. Now that the Third Battle is over, you can leave Anbu."

"Why?" Shisui asked, puzzled. "You're also a member of the Uchiha Clan. Why do you hide yourself?"

"That's my choice. It has nothing to do with you. Also, don't call me captain anymore." After saying this expressionlessly, Anya walked away.

Just as he arrived near his home, he saw Minato, who had just been released from the hospital, standing by the door. Beside him was Little Pepper. Judging by her impatient expression, the two had clearly been waiting for quite some time.

"Silver," Kushina's eyes noticed Anya first and called out with a wave.

Minato stepped forward and asked, "I heard you were injured. Are you okay?"

Anya smiled slightly. "Just a minor wound. I'll recover in a few days."

"I heard about the battle at Mount Hakuto. Can you tell me how you managed to win?" Minato asked seriously.

Anya replied decisively. "Poison."

"So then, you killed those twenty thousand Allied Forces soldiers."

"Yes."

Kushina, listening to their conversation, was stunned. Looking at Anya in disbelief, she said, "Silver, you actually poisoned that many people..."

Anya scoffed. "If it weren't for my poison, right now you wouldn't have time to stand here and scold me."

"You..."

"Alright, Kushina. I want to talk with Anya alone for a moment. Is that okay?" Minato interrupted Little Pepper's words.

It was the first time Minato had cut her off like that. Little Pepper paused for two seconds, glanced at the two, sensing she was simply an extra presence here. She gave in and walked off with a huff.

"I know what you want to say. Let's talk somewhere else," Anya said, then vanished instantly in a Body Flicker Technique. Minato quickly followed.

The two arrived atop the Hokage Rock, overlooking the entire Konoha from above. Sudden gusts of wind blew, leaves swirling, and their clothes flapped in the air.

Standing on the cliff face where the Hokage statues were carved, Anya took a deep breath and said, "Minato, I know your childhood ambition has always been to become Hokage. Is that still the case now?"

Minato replied without hesitation, "Yes. I want to become Hokage—a Hokage recognized by everyone in the village."

"What if someone wants to destroy Konoha?"

Minato's eyes turned icy. "Then that person is my enemy."

"So then, those twenty thousand people I killed were all your enemies, correct?"

Minato let out a bitter smile. "You know, while we were waiting for you back there, the Konoha ninja guarding the Mount Hakuto Stronghold also died."

"Some sacrifices are worth it. Such is the Ninja World. A ninja isn't just fighting people—they're fighting chaotic hatred. There are never any true victors."

Anya opened her arms wide and opened her heart. Facing Minato, she shared her vision: "In the future, I will change this world. Minato, would you like to walk with me?"

Minato was deeply moved. "Anya, you've always been wiser than me, even when we were kids. Deep down, I've always seen you as a companion I can walk with. I'm grateful you've trusted me enough to share it. But I want to know one thing—would your change affect Konoha?"

"Yes. Konoha is also part of the world."

"Will it be good or bad?"

"I'm not sure."

"Then I can't go with you."
