Davi couldn't believe his ears. He even made an effort to pinch himself on the cheek hoping it was a dream, but it wasn't fake, danzai was dead serious with no ounce of joke on his face
"What did you say danzai?!"
"I don't have to repeat myself do I?"
Sky was speechless, everyone watching was speechless, why would danzai switch sides,is it because of the battle,or was he with them from the start. Davi had doubts but danzai was unfazed by his plea
"Guess we'll be taking our leave then..."
Matthew rounded up the conversation
"Danzai?!"
Rin attacks danzai and Matthew from a blind spot but danzai parries the attack flawlessly without looking back
"How did you—"
"I wouldn't like to hurt you... Rin. Step back, we'll be on our way"
As danzai finished talking to Rin,him and Matthew ascended to the sky and Matthew gave them some parting words
"By the way, we're the preachers...not fireflies in the grave. Only our master has seen a member of the fireflies group,every other one has died"
Danzai looked at Davi while he stares back.
"7 days Davi..."
Matthew and Davi looks at him confused but decided not to say anything.
As the embodiments sat in the middle of the ruins, they reasoned what had just transpired some minutes ago. Danzai,a human without abilities, also secretly a member of the preachers and possibly an embodiment killer. Davi walks to where Rin and Ai were being treated and saw Rin sulking. His other friends had come to check up on him and Miya was tending to his wounds but his mind wasn't at rest, thinking of the possibility that he was a member of the preachers who blended in perfectly with them
Thoughts even came to mind that he was probably hiding his powers from them to prepare for this day. Sky met up with aira in the lab and told her what had transpired which left her shocked beyond words. Sky on the other hand had a grin on his face since the revelation
The next day, constructors arrived at the academy to fix the damages done. Thanks to the fact that they battled at the entrance of the academy, damages were reduced to the minimum which would make repairs alot faster. But for Davi and Rin, the house they lived with danzai isn't going to be the same any time soon
Meanwhile danzai sat at the highest point of a pyramid like temple watching the sun rise over him.
"The sun takes alot of time to rise doesn't it..."
Danzai shot a look at the person beside him and saw Matthew standing behind him
"..."
"You're a sly one don't you think?"
"I've joined you guys now, what do you want with me?"
"Oh right, I never explained... it's simple, we'll train you to wage war against the embodiments"
"Me?...I'm a human"
"I wouldn't say so about myself if I were you"
"Whatever...I fulfilled my end of the bargain do you should do yours"
"Of course,you said you wanted to be stronger am I correct?"
Danzai nods reluctantly
"Here...I even brought you your blade"
Matthew pulls out light from a pocket dimension and hands it over to danzai which he collects.
Danzai stares at the blade with an emotionless gaze while communicating with light in his mind
Light...
Yeah thanks. Sorry,you had to watch me go through all that in silence
Later light
Danzai hands light back to Matthew.
"What—"
"I don't need it... "
"But"
Danzai stands up and massages his knuckles then does a little stretch before sitting down.
"Since I'll be staying here, it's better I start asking..."
"What?"
Danzai stares at the sun which had risen up in it's full glory. He directed his question to Matthew without bothering to look back
"You have the embodiment of luck... am I correct?"
"Oh... why do you ask?"
"Nothing, just curious"

As Davi headed out to visit jack in the hospital, he runs into ai who seemed to be jogging round his estate for his morning excersice.
"Yo Davi... heading out today?"
"Yeah,I need to talk with jack sensei right now"
"Oh, right."
Ai runs past him and continues his excersice while Davi continues his journey to the hospital. Later at sunset, Davi returned home and met Rin, Arthur, cloud and the girl staying with him whose name is ayame having dinner. Since he was too tired, he decided to retire to his bed but feels a paper in his hoodie pocket
"Huh...when did this get here"
He opens the papers and see a note written with blood
"From... danzai?!"
