"hey Davi...."
Rin calls out to him after noticing slight changes in his mood. Davi makes up a smile and answers back to him
"Nothing serious, just confidential stuff..."
Rin continues to eat with the others while Davi walks up to danzai
"Hey danzai... We've somewhere to go"
"Huh..."
"Really?, danzai going on a confidential mission"
Davi removes his apron and drops it neatly on the shelf before walking to him room. Minutes later, he walks out dressed casually while danzai waited for him in the living room.
"Hey Rin don't forget to go for training early,the second test is in 4 days"
"Sure..."
Davi walks out with danzai as they head towards the main block of the academy where most embodiments resides hoping they would meet whoever Davi had in mind but when he just walked past it after glancing through sky's window danzai couldn't help but ask
"Where are we going to?"
"Have you heard of fireflies in the grave "
"What's that?"
"Dunno myself, that's why we were sent to investigate"
They continued to walk until they got to the main road and hitched a ride to the train station. Upon reaching,they enter a train headed for Hokkaido and set off
"Let me tell you one thing.... Avoid conflict as much as possible"
"Right. But why.... I mean aren't you the strongest?"
"Being the strongest doesn't mean you should blindly jump into fights just to prove a point.... Besides,we don't know who we're going to face there"

Danzai got a little curious and decided to ask
"What are devils"
"I pray we never meet one.... Embodiment killers are no where near the threat of demons.... We're all inner gods, but the devils oppose outer gods"
"I don't really get what you mean but the sound terrifying"
"Any more questions?"
Danzai had mountains of questions to ask but decided to stay put for now. The remaining period of the trip was totally quiet with Davi sleeping almost all the way. When the train arrived at Hokkaido,they boarded off and walked to a park then Davi handed him a smart phone which danzai has never used before
"What am I supposed to use this for?"
"I'll call you and give directions on how to get to their meeting place"
"Well... How does this thing work"
"You don't have to do anything, I'll call you and give directions. Also when you get there, I'll tell you what to say"
Danzai follows the direction given until he gets to a roof restaurant with limited people inside. The settings were that of a 5 star restaurant and danzai on a normal day wouldn't afford it. He proceeds inside before realizing that he has been on his night wear since and wasn't given any time to get changed. He tries to turn back but Davi directs him to sit on the most expensive table available which would trigger a fuss and cause a member of the devil group to join him
Some people laugh silently behind him while he ignores them. As predicted,a beautiful girl walks up to danzai and sits close to him on his table
Why would such a beautiful girl deal with devils for power
"Hello"
Danzai ignored at first via Davi's instructions but later answers her
"How may I help you b-beautiful... "
Danzai hesitates given that he has never talked to a girl besides aira and Miya but he managed to put on a show successfully
"Would you like to join me at the rooftop?"
"Go straight to the point"
"You're an embodiment right..."

"Don't be scared,we won't kill you... At least not yet"

At the rooftop,other members of the devil group are seated as if they had been expecting the arrival of danzai. The man who seemed like thier leader stands up and walks up to danzai with a smirk on his face. He to care about danzai like he had found his long lost treasure
"You're..."

He wastes no time attacking danzai with a table knife that seemed sharper than usual. Danzai voice was still recovering from his injury and couldn't talk as loud as before but the man aimed for the exact spot b
Which danzai evades by jumping back.
"Oh..."
The man seemed to have predicted what danzai just did and stopped attacking for the moment
"So it was true... My name is Matthew"
"Danzai..."
"Mister danzai... Why did you come here?"
What should I do? I've lost contact with Davi so I've to act on my own till he finds me
The man's look changed for a moment like he just heard what danzai thought in his mind but it went back to it's normal facial expression
"Who are the fireflies in the grave?"
Hearing that everyone except for Matthew cower in fear and seemed to look out for something. Matthew himself was trying to maintain composure given that he is the leader
"Don't go about asking about that group... It can be fatal"
They all seemed scared.... So they aren't part of the group?
"Let me give you a piece of advice.... Run"
Before he could realize what they said, Davi swoops in and grabs danzai as they flee the place. Danzai turns back and sees Matthew as he adjusts his hat and teleports with his other friends. All danzai did was stared untill the building disappeared out of sight without any unfamiliar scene happening there
"Hey Davi, walks who are those?"
"They're called preachers"
All this different people with insanely strong abilities are surrounding me but I'm still so weak
"I've got a proposal for you from the strongest.... Do you want to become strong?"
