Aiden's expression grew more serious as he continued his explanation to Lord Shadow.
"The details are… complicated," Aiden began. "Samael and Kethseia had a thing for a long time."
Lord Shadow raised an eyebrow, swirling the wine in his glass. "How long?"
"It began not long after the sudden disappearance of Universe Seven's creator," Aiden said. "This was in the period before Samael destroyed the peace the first men had between themselves."
Lord Shadow's grin faded slightly. "Interesting."
Aiden nodded. "Apparently, Samael actually liked this one, unlike the goddess, Lilith, whom he only deceived. He was also the reason Kethseia didn't attack to take over and absorb the Seventh Universe's energy back then. She held back because of him."
"Hm," Lord Shadow muttered, his tone thoughtful. "So she was… waiting."
