Chapter 2 - Kill them both

ENDLESS NIGHTS

Chapter 2

"Somewhere outside the country

2:00 PM

Sienna

"Hey, maid, I need my coffee in under three minutes," I said, and she nodded.

"You, go iron my coat. Remember, that thing costs 5 million. If it catches fire, you're out of a job—like, seriously."

"Yes, my lady."

"And you," I said, pointing at one of my staff,

"Take off your jersey; I need it for a mat."

"Ma'am? Are you for real? This jersey was my mom's before she passed away. She knits, so she fixed this one for me. I really value it, and it helps me remember her."

"Hey maid! Don't make me say it again. I said take off that sad jersey and toss it aside for me to step on. I just want to step on it, not eat it. Do you get that? If not, just know you're fired!"

"No, no ma'am! I'll take it off, no problem," she said, quickly removing the jersey and placing it down. Then I stepped on it. I turned to the other three maids left and said,

"You, just wash my feet. The tall one, you'll be cleaning my bedroom. I want it done in five minutes, or you know what's coming. And the last one, help me get ready before my handsome husband, Ethan, gets here."

"Sure ma'am, your wish is my command."

**Introduction**

Hey there! I'm Sienna, the President's only beloved daughter. Just to clarify, South Africa isn't my home; I just went there for a little vacation with my maids. I did marry Ethan Maynard, but it wasn't because he was loaded—he was actually broke but super handsome! I tied the knot with him mainly to keep up my reputation. We didn't have a big wedding, but let's be real, it was a business arrangement. I wanted to marry the best-looking guy, and I sweetened the deal with 15 billion dollars. Initially, I went after his brother, David, but he turned me down even though he was single and charming. I genuinely liked him, but he was way too proud. So, I switched gears and went for Ethan, and thankfully, he was on board. I mean, how could he say no? He was struggling and had a rough past—his dad left him when he was little.

Ethan and David both share a dad, but are totally different moms. David got all the good stuff, while Ethan was left with nothing. It's a royal mess; David's wealthy because his dad owned tons of companies worldwide, but Ethan's seen as an outsider, being called the illegitimate child. There are all sorts of rumors about his mom being a maid at David's place or even worse, a lady of the night. Because of this, Ethan couldn't stand David. He'd often say things like, "I'd finally find peace once my brother's gone!" He felt like his dad never loved him since his mom didn't belong. Anyway, Ethan often jokes that if I hadn't gone for this marriage deal, he wouldn't be living the high life now. So, big shoutout for funding his business—even though he's already doing well! He always says, "Whatever you want, I'm in. It's just between us, so let's keep it that way. I love you, Sienna!"

Honestly, I don't spend too much time with Ethan; he's usually off doing his thing while I'm busy with mine. But, when it's time for a party and couples are needed, I'll give him a ring. Like right now, he's on his way because I asked him to join me for a vacation—I need some cute pics for my IG and Facebook! Kkkkk.

Alessia

"Here's your water. I'm Jayson, the owner of the magazine companies. What about you?"

"So, you're wealthy and well-known too, huh? I can't stand you; I'm just an ordinary person. Here's your water. Drink it and leave me alone. From now on, I won't be flirting with rich people, particularly older ones—like you, Jayson, with your sugar daddy vibe." I stated this and then stood up, making my way towards the street. Jayson remained there, holding his glass of water. While walking, I collided with a man who had exited a car—a simple-looking man. I quickly apologized, saying,

"I'm so sorry, sir. Please forgive me." He extended his hand to shake mine and asked,

"Why are you wearing a wedding dress in a bar? Is everything alright? Did you flee from your own wedding?" I shot back at him,

"That's none of your concern." He turned a little red.

"Can I give you a ride home? If you'd like?" I smiled slightly before replying,

"I'm Alessia. I've come to believe that all men are alike. They start by offering a ride, then they ask for my number, and eventually, they profess love to me, promising the world. Then they bailed on my wedding day, just like what happened…" I couldn't finish my sentence as I pushed the man away, causing him to stumble to the ground. I also fell, my wedding dress obscuring my face. If I hadn't done that, he would have been struck by a car—no wonder the passengers in that vehicle were inebriated! As I lay there, I felt a warm presence; it was the stranger. He lifted me and placed me inside his car before he began to drive. As we traveled, gunshots rang out near the vehicle. Inwardly, I thought, "Oh no! Another dramatic turn? After leaving my wedding, I find myself in this situation? The man I helped turns out to be involved in something criminal? I can't label him a criminal yet; I didn't actually witness any shooting." I looked at him, wanting clarification to ease my concerns.

"Excuse me, Mr. Stranger. What's happening? Why are they pursuing you?"

"What's your name, babe?"

"I told you, I'm Alessia Williams! And you?"

"Appreciate you saving my life. If it weren't for you, I would've been struck by that car. It makes sense why they're still after me."

"Who's after you? Please tell me! Where are you taking me?"

"First, where should I take you, Gorgeous? To my heart or my lungs?"

"Don't be ridiculous; pull over! I want to get out. I can't run away with someone who seems to be in danger. I have no intention of dying with you; you're just a stranger I met today. You can face whatever is coming on your own; I don't care about who's hunting you. At least I saved a life today, even though I'm feeling so heartbroken," I murmured, waiting for his reply. But he just laughed.

"That's how good girls are—they save lives. You said you're Alessia, right?"

"Yes! And you?"

"Just call me David."

**Ethan**

On the line.

📱... Did you manage to finish off David, my dear brother?"

"I'm sorry, sir. We almost got him, but a girl in a wedding dress saved him before we could hit him with the car."

📱... Damn! David, my father's favored son; can't you just die already? Oh, wait, did you mention a girl saved him? Describe her."

"She's gorgeous, beautiful, stunning, a lovely lady in a wedding dress, with long curly blonde hair, brown eyes, and pink lips."

📱... Good grief! It's Alessia; find them both and eliminate them now. I want some positive news.

"Yes, sir."

📱... I'm heading to meet Sienna, my wife. If you're calling me now, I expect good results. David must die, along with that beautiful girl who saved his miserable life."

"Yes, sir."

📱... Excellent. Once the job is complete, I'll pay you half a million. Is that a deal?

"Yes, sir."
